New fusion in RSS introducing camp – ‘Nav Srijan Shivir’ at Patanjali Yog Peeth, Haridwar. RSS Supremo gives clarion call to devote one hour at least daily for making a practical Hindu Rashtra.
Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Haridwar | 30 Nov 2014:: In the valedictory session of ‘Nav Srijan Shivir’, a new fusion RSS introducing camp on Sunday, RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat told participants “Devote an hour a day and come to a Sangh shakha. It is for the benefit of the nation”. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Uttarakhand unit organised this Nav Srijan Shivir for youth at the Patanjali Yogpeeth of Baba Ramdev in Haridwar from November 28 to 30. The three-day camp was attended by 5,559 students from 251 colleges and universities of Uttarakhand. In these participants, there were 3022 graduates, 677 post graduates, 105 LLB, 38 Ph.D, 1728 coming from the field of technology including 252 instructors and 64 guides all total.
Sri Mohanji Bhagwat said though the opposition to the Sangh ideology had reduced after the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre, some opposition was still there and the Sangh’s aim was to unite those voices and strengthen the Sangh. Speaking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr. Bhagwat said, “We [Sangh] have sent a worthy individual [to the Centre]. He will do his work, but, that is not enough. We too have to unite as a society and work selflessly towards nation-building.”
To attract the local youth, the theme of the camp was mentioned as “think for Uttarakhand, work for Uttarakhand and one year for Uttarakhand”.
RSS Prant Pracharak of Uttrakhand Dr Harish informed that various issues were discussed at the camp in Patanjali Yogpeeth including the environment, blood donation, tree plantation, water conservation, border security, eye donation, purity of the Ganga river, avoiding goods made in China and adopting Swadeshi articles and various social welfare issues.
Though the participants received the guidance from Career consultant & Super-30 founder Anand Kumar, Union minister of State and shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, RSS national executive member Indresh Kumar and the co founder of Farms and Farmers Manish Kumar, but the clarion call of RSS Sarasanghachalak in the finale manifested the purpose of all such programmes for remaking Hindu Rashtra (हिन्दुराष्ट्राङ्गभूता) and the need of Hindu unity and Hindu empowerment of Bharat without any ambiguity.
In his speech Dr Mohan Bhagwat said, Hindutva is our National identity and it comes down to us as rights and heritage of this pious land and as the glaring example of the thread of unity. To make this land highly prosperous and keep its cultural pure and intact, we have to strive and sacrifice for this land. We may not live long, but this land will remain alive with its vibrant Hinduness.
In a reply to a question Dr Mohan Bhagwat said since Afghanistan, Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka separated from the United Hindu Bharat, all put into a peril. The days are coming when we will see the Akhand Bharat (undivided India) very soon.
Actually RSS has a definite plan to re-frame this ancient land with the old Hindu values attaching the modern world advancements, as experts on RSS say. In the last five years, RSS advanced its activities in the period of repression of last UPA regime.
For a check, one can go through the reports below about the gradual growth of RSS activities in last five years.
As per information available on date a total of 39823 Shakhas are being run at 27089 places. Saptahik Milan is held at 7356 centers and Sangha-mandali is organised at 6949 places. (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Kurukhestra, March 2010).
As per information available, at present 39908 shakhas are active in 27078 places all over Bharat. Sangh work is also going on through 7990 Saptahik Milans (Weekly get-togethers) and 6431 Sangh Mandalis at different places in Bharat. (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Puttur, March 2011).
As per available information, RSS has at present 40,891 Sakha, 8508 weekly meet and 6445 Sangha Mandali (Monthly Meet throughout the country. (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Nagpur, March 2012).
According to the information collected from all over Bharat, 42981 Shakhas are being run in 28788 places. Sangh work is also being carried through 9557 Saptahik Milans (weekly get togethers) and 7178 Sanghmandlis (monthly get togethers). (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Jaipur, March 2013).
According to the available statistics, all over the country, 44982 Sakhas are being conducted at 29624 places. Saptahik Milans (weekly congregation) are being held at 10146 places, whereas work is being carried out in the form of Sangh Mandalis (monthly congregation) at 7387 places. (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Bangalore, March 2014).
As the present Prime Minister of Bharat is an ardent Swaymsevak (cadre) of RSS, the RSS is now setting its strategy high for making a ‘param vaibhavshali rashtra’ (परं वैभवं नेतुमेतत् स्वराष्ट्रं), i.e most prosperous Nation-State in this Hindu Land (हिन्दुभूमे).
In India, there are 672 districts, 4100 Taluks, and 256,000 village panchayats for about 638,000 villages. According to one estimate, India has 16lakh habitations spread mostly in these villages. The population of India is about 1.25billion. In terms of percentage, the RSS may be having a base of 5% of the population. It may be argued that the goal of RSS, which is about reaching to about 5% of the population, as set out during its formative years, as a completed task. But it is clear that rephrasing of the goal statement is long overdue.
But, there are currently about 45,000 shakhas in 29,600 places around the country. Weekly congregations are being held at 10,100 places while monthly congregations are being carried out at 7,400 places.
As a matter of fact, the shakhas (units/branches) of RSS has been declined, if it is compared with the period of NDA in 2004. The number of shakhas had increased to more than 51,000 in 2004, when the NDA was voted out of power. The number came down 39,000 in 2010 under the UPA regime. However, from 2011 to 2014, the number of shakhas rebounded.
In this critical juncture to spread over at least 200,000 village panchayats to earn a control over near about 600,000 villages in India with other areas of Metropolises and suburbs, RSS is thinking the Uttarakhand model of ‘Nav Srijan Shivir’ camps in every states to grow more influence in the mind of un-organised Hindus in various folds.
A RSS think-tank in New Delhi conveyed that the Mission of Hindu Rashtra, with its Hindu Constitution and Practical Hindu Empowerment, must be accomplished within 2025 in the centenary of RSS itself. RSS was founded in 1925 by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar with his wish to materialize his mission in his lifetime (याचि देही याचि डोळा). That was not fulfilled anyway. Now, crores of hard-core Swaysevaks will make a constitutional and practical Hindu Rashtra in Bharat within 2025, otherwise it will be too late to start another chapter for saving the Hindus from compete extinction.
