Observe 7th September as Vande Mataram Day.

Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhya created Vande Mataram on 7th Sept. 1882.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Kolkata | September 7, 2011:: Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhya created Vande Mataram on 7th Sept. 1882. This was mostly influenced the Indian Freedom Struggle against British as a lightening spirit of all inspiration of Nationalism in modern India. Vande Mataram was finally set in Bankim’s most revolutionary novel Anandamath. Anandamath and Vande Mataram are considered as the seeds of Hindu Rashtravad (HINDU NATION/STATE IDEOLOGY) in modern times. And as per Sri Aurobinda, Sanatan Dharma is the Nationalism in India. Dr. Hedgewad declared this Nation as an undisputed HINDU NATION.

Though it is the mother source of all patriotism and Indian Nationalism in modern time, the hymn of Vande Mataram has been truncated by the Congress betrayers for the cause o Muslim appeasement. All the Hindus and the ardent Nationalists should sing the complete hymns of Vande Mataram with full veneration all along. But for keeping the spirit of our regards high to this ever delightful song of synthesis of Bhratiya Tradition, Culture, Heritage and Nationalism, we should sing this song fully on 7th September by observing Vande Mataram Day everywhere in this country. In such way, our future generation will come up to take an oath to preserve Vande Mataram intact from the attack of Congress and the fundamental maroons. VANDE MATARAM.

The full song of Vande Mataram is given below :

। ५ ।। वन्दे मातरम् ।।

vande mataram

The immense contribution and legacy of Vande Matarm on Indian Independence can not be ignored anyway. Actually, It was acting as the life force of Indian Independence and the war cry of Indian freedom struggle. Every Indian citizen must respect Vande Mataram wholeheartedly. But, a section of Indian Muslim population doesn’t.

On 24 January 1950, the Constituent Assembly of India has adopted “Vande Mataram” as national song. On the occasion, the first President of India, Rajendra Prasad stated that the song should be honoured equally with the national anthem of India, “Jana Gana Mana”.  However the Constitution of India does not have any mention of “national song”. The Central Govt of India must take necessary action to honor vande Mataram in the purview of Indian constitution.

    Dear Sri Upananda Ji,

    Editor, HINDU EXISTENCE.

I am in Sri Aurobindo Ashram from last 55yrs. The view of Mother and Sri Aurobindo is slightly different.

We do consider Vande Mataram to be the true NATIONAL ANTHEM of India, because it is truly a ‘mantra’. Jana Gana is just a good national song.

However, the solution of the world’s problem which necessarily comes to the doors of India in the next epoch is not in any religion but in its Spirituality. We have had disciples from all faith – staying in the Ashram.

The Mother has kept on repeating – ‘ Only if humanity consents to be spiritualised.’

Just as in the time of Mahabharat – a new order had to be established with new sets of rules, now we are at the thresh-hold of a new age and new dawn of an era of Truth. The question is shall it be by a huge destruction or by harmony and cooperation ?

According to Sri Nolini Kant Gupta the foremost disciple of Sri Aurobindo – the one who was also on trial in the Alipore Bomb Case along with Sri Aurobindo, – Now Mother Mahakali has taken her form of Chhinnamasta, where she is cutting her own unnecessary limbs, including her head.

    Yours, Sincerely,
    Srikant.

    Subj: Vande Mataram.

COMMENT: Yes indeed he did it. The poem is the national metaphor of India, as India battled its way towards freedom. Vande Mataram means:
    I bow to thee Mother

It was first sung by Rabindranath Tagore in 1890, it was translated into prose by Aurobindo Ghose in 1909. Vande Mataram was the national cry for freedom from the British rule. It was later given the status of ” National Song ” of the Republic Of India.

    2. Quote: Though it is mother source of all patriotism and Indian Nationalism in modern time, the hymn of Vande Mataram has been truncated by the Congress betrayers for the cause o Muslim appeasement.

COMMENT: The phony-liberal politicians always give in, when confronted with opposition from minorities.
Question: Is the appeasement of enemy better than war ?

Question: Has there been any opposition to Vande Mataram from minorities ?

Yes, there has been. Several Moslem organizations have issued FATWAS against singing of Vande Mataram. Even though Vande Mataram means worshipping Mother India, Moslems regard it as Shirk ( Idolatry).

But if you bow at the feet of your Mother, it is not Shirk, it is only Respect. Moslems sure have a Screwed-Up interpretation of Shirk.

Some Islamic scholars admit that they are not sure, about the meaning of the term ” Vande .” Does it mean Salutation or Worship ?

Christians also object to Vande Mataram. They claim they are not sure whether it means Veneration or Worship.

What Moslems & Christians have done, is to make the song Controversial, giving a perfect excuse to the phony-liberal politicians of India, to exclude/ban this song. .

    3. In spite of minority opposition, this song has been set to a large number of tunes. Versions of this song, have also been visualized in a number of movies.

    4. Regardless of the controversy, this song is and has always been a battle cry for the freedom of India.
