Kolkata on Islamic edge after Railway Police intercept 62 Madrasa juveniles travelling without valid documents. Muslims run hooliganism, road jam, rampage and communal tension in Rajabazar and Park Circus as protest.
Panchali Maiti & Agni Mitra | HENB | Kolkata – Barasat | Aug 3, 2015:: Kolkata has been seen on Islamic edge on Monday as communal tension rose in parts of the city following an violent agitation at Rajabazar crossing. The Muslim agitators have been demanding the release of 62 Madrasa juveniles, who were intercepted by Sealdah station GRP after they failed to produce any valid documents. Afterwards the communal wave widened in Moulali and Park Circus areas where hundreds of Muslim came out to the streets and started road blockade in the demands of the release of the Madrasa boys. They were also shouting slogans against the hanging of Yakub Memon and the BJP Govt in Centre.
Hundreds of public vehicles, private cars and roadside Hindu shops were destroyed or damaged in the tension prone areas. Hindu Commuters, ladies were harassed after identification. In some cases personal belongings were snatched by the agitators.
As per report 7 mosques in Rajabazar area, 8 in Park Circus and 6 in Khidderpore took initiative to create the panic upon Kolkata Hindus naming the operation as “Memon 786”. Students of two Khariji Madrasa on Rajabazar-Narkeldanga Main Road and one on Amherst Street went on rampage in Sealdah station and Rajabazar areas. In each places of agitators shouted slogan against “Yakub Memon Hanging’ spontaneously. “Allah hu Akbar” rented the air in all the places of agitations.
On Sunday, Sealdah railway station GRP intercepted as many as 62 children and a cleric. The children were travelling from a madrasa in Purnia, Bihar to another madrasa in Satara, Maharashtra. Since they were travelling without documents, the GRP officials shifted them to the State-run Child Welfare Commission’s home in Barasat. Kolkata Police have been trying to contact the children’s parents to know more about the case.
On interrogation the detained Madrasa boys were not properly conveying anything. A suspicion drew whether those Muslim boys were trafficked for any reason for Jihadi activities or for selling in Arab countries. In such a situation railway police handed over the detained juveniles to State Juvenile Welfare Board’s jurisdiction.
A a repercussion, protesters staged a demonstration at Rajabazar, Park Circus seven-point crossing, Moulali and Sealdah. The situation turned grim by the end of the day as more and more agitators assembled demanding immediate release of the children. Reports suggest that the maximum provocateurs are allegedly connected with the local TMC party. But, cutting the political edge, both TMC and CPIM jointly run the agitation in a Jihadist jolly.
Muslim agitators pelted stones at Sealdah station resulting in closure of the main gate for several hours. The railway tracks were also blocked by the protesters, because of which all south-bound trains from Sealdah station were held up. Several vehicles were vandalised across the city. Hindu shops adjoining the Sealdah-Moulali area too were forced to close doors.
Meanwhile, top officials of Kolkata Police have said that the children would be released and sent back to Bihar by Monday night itself, to avoid any untoward incident.

As per report, DC North Subhankar Sinha Sarkar, DC (ESD) Dhrubajyoti Dey, Joint Commissioner (Org) of Kolkata Police Champak Bhattacharya were at Rajabazar Crossing to control the situation with huge battalion. But, as there was a ‘STRICT DIRECTION FROM THE STATE NOT TO HURT ANY MUSLIM ANYWHERE ANYWAY’, the police contingent were seeing the Islamic vandalism reluctantly.
“We are sending the children back to Bihar tonight itself. There are reports of certain sporadic incidents. We are in full control of the situation,” Rajeeev Mishra, Special Additional and Joint Commissioner of Kolkata Police (Headquarters) told DNA, an English Daily based on Mumbai. But, the Media houses concerned to publish English daily newspapers from Kolkata, yet to publish any news on this matter.
Major thoroughfares remained clogged with thousands of demonstrators putting up roadblocks, bringing the city to a grinding halt. Commuters faced trouble as major arterial roads of North and Central Kolkata remained blocked since Monday afternoon.
In a statement, the WB CM Mamata Banerjee, the icon of Muslim appeasement made a statement that the detained children will be returned back to their home and sufficient arrangement have been done to facilitate the children. But, she did not condemn the Muslims hooligans for their anti social activities and braking law and order at random.
The capital of West Bengal have got a chance to measure again the Islamic preparation to make a ‘havoc change’ in West Bengal. In Mamata’s mind that Change may designed as a Islamic State of West Bengal!
Rajabazar incident is nothing but the tip of the iceberg. Hindus in West Bengal are sleeping Well. Unless united, the Hindus must leave the state of West Bengal, as it was happened in Bangladesh, Pakistan or Kashmir.

I am a Muslim by religion and Bengali is my mother tongue, all my friends are Hindu by religion an I care their sisters an sister-in laws very well, and I am a native resident of West Bengal, I love to eat ilish mach and also beef but never touched pork though I served beef to my Hindu friends and specially to their sisters. It makes social harmony I think. I drink with my Hindu friends, enjoy with their sisters and pray namaz in Eid most importantly.
I was very panicked on that day and was rescued by a Hindu Driver who dropped me home safely via shortcuts passing a Muslim cemetery (he knew the area well), I was informed by my aunt that my sister who is a Muslim was out with her Hindu girls friends for college party, she took there home made good beef preparation to serve and she has in her mind that she must introduce her Hindu girl friends with some Muslim boys. She is a student of Presidency college. In this way we want make a social harmony. One day Hindus will naturally come to Islam for getting the taste of beef and taking the advantage of polygamy and marriage upto 4 wives.
