No review of Modi govt’s performance: RSS.

TNN | New Delhi | Sep 4, 2015:: The RSS said on Friday that the direction and dedication of the Modi government is good and it has renewed the world’s confidence in India.

The RSS also clarified that the three-day meet was not meant to review the Modi government’s performance.

“A broad range of internal security and development issues were at the centre of the ongoing day deliberations between the Sangh Parivar and the government,” RSS leader Dattatreya Hosabale told reporters on Friday.

Dattatreya Hosabale also hit back at Congress. “We are not an illegal organization and have every right to question ministers. There is no question of secrecy,” Dattatreya Hosabale said.

He also said that RSS workers had shared their ideas on what should be the economic model so that rural life can be made better.

“14 months have passed, a lot more to do, the government is moving in the right direction; govt is committed, achievements are good,” the RSS leader said.

Refering to the stalemate on OROP, the RSS leader said, “we are confident the govt will solve this matter expeditiously”.

Dattatreya said the importance of education was also discussed. “Education must be geographically accessible, financially affordable and socially inclusive,” he said.

Government is working in the right direction with commitment and dedication: RSS

52_07_40_55_datt_H@@IGHT_450_W@@IDTH_600News Bharati | New Delhi | Sept 4, 2015::  Sah Sarkaryavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dattatrey Hosabale today addressed the media on RSS Samanvay Baithak and also replied queries by media. In his address, he said that RSS is sanguine about NDA’s direction of governance when a reporter asked him about their involvement in government proceedings.

Dattatreya also apprised about the three-day “coordination” meeting that addressed the issues pertaining to the economy and its governance model. He said that security concerns were a part of discussion along with conserving environment. He also said discussion on making education geographically accessible and economically affordable was also conducted.

RSS also reiterated their policy of having cordial relations with neighbor is still a priority. “We are not reviewing nor are we giving any message to the government. We are only sharing inputs,” he said.

The Sangh Parivar’s fountainhead said it was not reviewing the government’s performance but was only giving “inputs” to ministers, who are swayamsevaks, and it has a right to do so. Whatever has been done so far, the direction is right, dedication, commitment and achievements are good.

“Only 14 months have passed. There is more time and a lot more is to be done. Whatever has been done so far, the direction is right, dedication, commitment and achievements are good. We have to move forward. There cannot be 100 per cent satisfaction for everyone,” RSS joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale told a press conference.

Replying to questions about criticism that RSS was giving directions to the government and ministers were violating the oath of secrecy by reporting to the RSS, he said, “We are not an illegal organisation. We are also citizens of the country. We have every right to ask ministers, who are also swayamsevaks. Where is the question of secrecy.  Swayamsevaks have become ministers.”

Asked about Congress criticism that RSS was acting like a remote control, he shot back saying “what Congress says we need not reply. They were run on remote control. So they have no moral right to talk about us.” Justifying the interaction with the government representatives, he said, the media does not make any issue when ministers go to CII or FICCI or other events.

To a question, Hosabale said the RSS would wait for construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as per government’s time-table as the issue was pending before the Supreme Court.

Rob & regroup: New mantra of Indian jihadis
Parth Shastri, TNN | Jun 24, 2011, 12.15 AM IST AHMEDABAD: They might not be powerful or visionary as their bosses, but they are dangerous and ready to strike at the word go. The third rung of Indian Mujahideen (IM), say crime branch officials, are desperados who double up as armed robbers and small-time criminals to fund their terror plans.
City crime branch officials, investigating the serial blasts of 2008, got a break through with the arrest of four former Students’ Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) members led by Mujib Shaikh, a resident of Ahmedabad, earlier this month by Madhya Pradesh anti-terrorists squad (ATS). After questioning the four, the crime branch officials arrested Danish Riyaz, a resident of Jharkhand, from Vadodara railway station on June 20. All five SIMI members were wanted in serial blasts case and were absconding since 2008.
“As we have seen earlier in the case of Viquaruddin Ahmed, the terrorists are not averse to robberies to raise funds for their activities. Mujib confessed that the former SIMI members have carried out more than four robberies in Madhya Pradesh in the recent past, the last being the biggest with Rs 2.5 crore heist from a bank,” said a crime branch official.
A team of the city crime branch officials that questioned Shaikh and his associates at Madhya Pradesh said that the four had revealed much on the present scenario of IM cadre and SIMI sympathizers scattered across the country. The crime branch investigators have also put undetected robberies in the state under scanner to find out if there is a terror angle to any of these incidents.
Investigators do not rule out the presence of sleeper cells in states like Gujarat. “We have found proof that Danish tried to contact the terror suspects’ families in Ahmedabad and other cities. The support machinery is still out of police radar. It can prove vital for earning sympathy for the fresh recruits to ensure their families’ future. While the first rung members such as the Bhatkal brothers are out of the country, the second rung members such as Tauqeer are still at large,” said a senior crime branch official.========== Where were GUJARAT Police?
