BJP demands immediate arrest of Imam Barkati for issuing slanderous fatwa against PM Modi.

Indian Judiciary must take this matter very seriously and start suo moto cases to make permanent ban on such ‘fatwa’ or any ‘religious directives’ against Indian executives, legislatures or judiciaries.

Fanatic Kolkata Imam Barkati issues ‘fatwa’ against PM Narendra Modi, BJP demands his immediate arrest.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Kolkata | Jan 7, 2017:: Within a clear indulgence of WB CM Mamata Banerjee, a provocated Kolkata Imam Syed Nurur Rehman Barkati of Tipu Sultan Mosque issued a slanderous fatwa against Indian PM Narendra Modi.

 This is the first time in Indian history after its independence in 1947 that any Muslim cleric issued any fatwa against the  Head of Government and leader of the executive branch of the Government of India.

The culpable fatwa was issued in Kolkata, the ‘city of political Jihad’ and ruling ground of TMC (Total Muslim Congress), against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of “bluffing” the people through demonetisation, evoking a sharp reaction from BJP which demanded his immediate arrest.

On Saturday, Barkati actually issued his Talibani Fatwa from Calcutta Press Club declaring an award of Rs. 25 Lakh for cutting the beard of Narendra Modi including shaving his head and blackened his face.

Shahi Imam of Tipu Sultan Mosque Maulana Nurur Rehman Barkati issued this fatwa in presence of  Trinamool Congress MP, Idris Ali, in the Kolkata Press Club.

The notorious Imam Barkati involved earlier with defaming Calcutta High Court order against use of Mosque loud speakers above 65 dbl, issuing execution fatwa against renowned writer Taslima Nasrin and performing Janaja in Kolkata for the death of Osama Bin Laden is now again appeared with his fanatic Jihadi propaganda. Few days before, this Imam also issued a ‘stone pelting’ fatwa against WB State BJP president Dilip Ghosh over an ‘offensive’ remarks made by him against WB CM.

The Imam of Kolkata’s Tipu Sultan Masjid, said currently, “Everyday people are harassed and facing problem due to demonetisation.”

“Modi is bluffing the society and the innocent people of the country through demonetisation and nobody wants him to continue as the Prime Minister,” he said during a joint conference by the All India Majlis-e-Sura and All India Minority Forum here.

Slamming the ‘fatwa’, BJP National Secretary Sidharth Nath Singh, who is in-charge of party’s West Bengal affairs, said in Delhi, “We demand that Mamata Banerjee immediately order his arrest. The fatwa against our Prime Minister is highly condemnable. TMC MP Idris Ali was sitting next to him when he issued the fatwa.”

Warning of protests if the WB government did not take any action against the imam, Singh said, “This is not an issue between BJP and TMC. This is an insult of the Prime Minister by a religious leader considered very close to the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.”

Earlier Barkati alleged, “People who keep beard are mostly religious like maulanas, sadhus, sufis, sikh gurus. But Modi keeping beard is ‘bhondami’ (bluffing). I have no hesitation in saying that he (Modi) is bluffing the country. He (Modi) has lost all his credentials as the Prime Minister.”

Terming Modi “communal” and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as a figure of “communal harmony”, Barkati  claimed that most of the people in the country now want Banerjee to be the Prime Minister of the country.

From the modus operandi of the fatwa, it is very much clear that Nurur Rehman Barkati is trying to hatch a conspiracy to topple down the elected Union govt  for positioning a Queen of Muslim appeasement in the center to make a Muslim India through a political Jihad.

What is most alarming in this row that now the Islamic clerics and Islamic institutions are trying to issue fatwas against Indian democracy and executive authorities in an apparent mild manner. They will harden their policies to attack  other pillars of Indian society in near future.

WB or India cannot be allowed as a land of Sharia as we do possess our Holy Constitution. Indian Judiciary must take this matter very seriously and start suo moto cases against barkati to make a permanent ban on such ‘fatwa’ or any ‘religious directives’ against Indian executives, legislatures or judiciaries.
