Ex-VHP leader Togadia to launch new party for Hindutva Cause aiming to establish a Constitutional, Cultural and Sovereign Hindu Rashtra in Bharat.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Vadodara | May 28, 2018:: Former Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Pravin Togadia on Sunday said that he would launch a new party on June 24.

Speaking to reporters here, Togadia flayed the Narendra Modi government and accused it of going back on its promises and failing to meet people’s aspirations.

He rated the Modi government’s performance as “minus 25 per cent” and called the PM’s foreign policy as “poor”, agriculture policy as “fatal” and Hindutva Policy as “betrayal”.

Togadia said that “selling big dreams was not enough”, adding that nation-building was based on “truth of work that has to be seen on the ground”.

He said that a huge number of people, associated with the RSS and the BJP, are “baffled” and “upset” as the Modi government is not seen doing anything in “ideological, socio-political and economic issues and was also making U-turns in some instances, especially on Hindutva matters”.

“It had hurt those people who are following the Hindutva ideology,” Togadia claimed.

He demanded that the government pass a law in the Parliament to pave the way for the construction of a Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

He also demanded a ban on cow slaughter, repeal of Article 370 that conferred special status to Jammu and Kashmir, and implementation of a Uniform Civil Code.

Speaking about farmers, he said that the government should give them a minimum support price which is 50 per cent more than the cost of production.

He said that the government’s crop insurance scheme had failed as compensation was given to just eight per cent farmers who had filed claims.

He criticized the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor project and said that the money to be invested in it should be used to upgrade the safety aspects of the railways so as to benefit 25 crore passengers.

Togadia had quit the VHP on April 14 this year after former Himachal Pradesh governor V S Kokje defeated his nominee Raghav Reddy in an election in Gurgaon for the post of VHP International president.

Togadia hinted that his party would fight for Hindutva causes aiming to establish a Constitutional, Cultural and Sovereign Hindu State in Bharat.

“From the day of coming Vijaya Dashmi (19th Oct, 2018), we will start nation-wide agitation in order to press the central Govt and VHP to start the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya”, Togadia told HENB at the side line of the press meet.

I would like to join the new Hindutva party. Thousands of ex BJP supporters will join. But the name of the new party should be selected very carefully as it has a big impact on success. The name must be attractive and meaningful. If you like I may suggest one.

A new Hindu political party could backfire on us – by leading to the division of Hindu votes to the benefit of Congress and other anti-Hindu parties.

More importantly, even if it were to succeed and come to power in New Delhi – there’s every chance that it would undergo the same deviation from Hindutva that we’ve seen happen.

The reason, in my view, is that New Delhi itself exerts a negative influence on the politicians who settle there. Over time, this influence overpowers the initial idealism and results in a regime that increasingly resembles… Congress.

To free ourselves from this malign influence, we must push for shifting the capital. My personal preference would be Nagpur due to its central location.

  Running away from problem areas is not the right way every time.
  Kashmniri Pundits also ran away from their land.
  
  So, why not cleanup Delhi? Why not overnight change the the road name signs or city name signs to Vedic names? Once done, announce it to public, then after all the Hindus should begin using those Vedic names (no any un-Vedic names).
  
  Hindu businesses also could economically boycott dealing with all and any anti-Vedic entities.
  
  Economic boycott is a powerful non-violent means to cause change; and it needs to be done with unity and firm determination.
  
  I pray Togadia ji’s intent is sincere and pure and mind firm and determined.
  We need Vedic State Hindustan, a pro-Vedic nation.

    We have wasted enough time and effort on Delhi: it’s easier, cheaper – and most important, quicker, to shift the capital to another city, than to try and transform New Delhi. The experience of both Vajpayee and Modi governments has demonstrated that clearly.
    
    To put it bluntly, India cannot and should not wait for Delhi to change.
    
    Far from ‘running away from the problem’, this is solving the problem – since the problem is having New Delhi as the capital. After all, it befits an independent country to choose its own capital, rather than simply adopting the one left behind by a colonial power.
    
    The parallel that comes to my mind is that of China. When the communists finally defeated the kuomintang, they had the good sense to reject the nationalist capital Nanjing in favour of Beijing. Anyone who studies the modern history of China will notice an upturn from that decision onwards…
    
    Let us learn from them, lest we fall even further behind.
