Under Modi, 10 years of riot-free Gujarat

When it comes to commemorating or even celebrating anniversaries, Indians are inclined to be notoriously lax. The 50th anniversary of Indian independence in 1997 was, for example, perfunctorily observed and mainly as a sarkari celebration.

Yet, and not surprisingly, the 10th anniversary of the Gujarat riots has become a media event or, to be more precise, an English-language media occasion.

After 40 years, Pakistani Hindus’ ashes immersed in Ganga

IANS | Fri, Feb 18, 2011

Amritsar, Feb 18 (IANS) Finally, their ashes reached the ultimate destination – the holy river of Ganga – some 1,400 km away and 40 years later.

The ashes of 135 Pakistan-based Hindus who had passed away in the last 40 years arrived in little urns in Hardwar and were immersed by a delegation in the Ganga, a member of the group said Friday.

For many Hindus based in Pakistan, it was the fulfilment of the last wish of their kin that their ashes be immersed in the Ganga – an act of salvation for many Hindus across the world.

Led by Mahant Ram Nath Mishra of Karachi’s Panchmukhi Hanuman temple, a group of 12 Hindu religious workers, without attracting much media and public attention, recently brought to India the 135 urns kept at the temple for over four decades.

The delegation quietly boarded the Samjhauta Express, the peace train between the two countries, and later reached Hardwar in Uttarkhand state.

‘We had been battling visa and travel restrictions for years to bring the ashes to India for immersion. We got permission to travel to Hardwar only recently. We did not want undue media and public attention. We first reached Hardwar and immersed the ashes,’ Mishra told reporters Friday while boarding the train back to Pakistan.

‘Over a hundred more Hindus there want to immerse ashes in the Ganga. Visa restrictions for such emotional things should be relaxed by both countries,’ he said.

Hindu jatha returns to Pak after immersing ashes

by Dharmendra Rataul : Amritsar, Fri Feb 18 2011 : Indian express.

Pilgrimage to Ganges came about after a 40-yr wait; delegates from neighbouring country seek easier visa norms

It took 40 long years for the 135 pots full of ashes, belonging to Hindus from Pakistan, to be immersed in the Ganges at Haridwar, as per the last wishes of the departed souls. A 12-member special Hindu jatha today returned to Pakistan by Samjhauta Express after performing the ritual and they said more such ashes were waiting for the last rites to be performed, in the neighbouring country.

The jatha members, mostly from Karachi in Pakistan, said that like in India, in Pakistan also the community members’ most desired wish was to get their ashes immersed in Ganges for salvation. “There is no place in Pakistan where ashes can be immersed. Though some immerse ashes in Indus or some other running water, the Ganges is considered the most sacred river for the last ritual to be performed,” said Ram Nath Mishra, Mahant of Panch-Mukhi Hanuman Mandir in Karachi, who was heading the jatha.

He, however, said the stringent visas terms come in the way. “We had silently come to India two months back through this train and reached Haridwar to perform the ritual. We took the holy dip in the Ganga and felt most blessed,” said Mishra, adding that there were over 100 more pots of ashes, some of them belonging to the unclaimed dead in Pakistan, waiting for immersion.

“We want those to be brought here for the last rites but getting the visas is a major hassle. Some of the ashes are waiting for the immersion for the last over 20 years. In this pilgrimage we brought the ashes which were lying in Pakistan for the last 40 years,” said Mishra, adding that ashes in Pakistan were lying in the safe custody of family members, relatives or with Hindu temples, in various parts of Pakistan.

There are about 20 lakh Hindus in Pakistan, that is about two per cent of the total population of this Islamic republic. Though they have the permission for performing last rites through cremation, the beliefs are that a Hindu gets salvation if ashes are immersed in the Ganges in India. “This is our community members’ most cherished last wish and many take a promise from their children to do so. But there is a problem of getting visas and we want relaxation to be made in visa norms, taking into account the religious beliefs and faith,” said Karam Chand, another member of the jatha. BHUBANESWAR: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad ( VHP) and International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) have said they would fight “internationally” to thwart attempts of banning the sacred “Bhagavad Gita” in Russia after the state prosecutors in Tomsk recently moved an upper court against a lower court’s decree on rejection of the ban appeal.

Islamic Attempt of denigrating Maha Shivarathiri defeated by alert Hindus
25/02/2012 12:06:37  VSK

CHENNAI : Bang on holy Maha Shivarathiri day (February 20), an Islamist outfit in Mylapore Chennai, displayed a banner with the aim of denigrating belief and worship of Hindus right in front of the ancient Kapaleeshwar Temple, Chennai.

Hinduism is a religion that is very near to nature. It asks its followers to see God in every object in the Universe. Worship of Panchabhoothas — air, water, fire, Sun, Moon, Stars, and Earth is specially recommended.

To denigrate Hinduism and convert Hindus in their religious fold – Tamil Nadu Thowheeth Jamath (TNTJ) a Muslim outfit of Mylapore Branch has placed a banner questioning “Is Sun and Moon are God?”

Do not Prostrate to the Sun and Moon:

“Among His Signs are the Night and the Day and the sun and moon. Prostrate not to the Sun and the Moon but Prostrate to Allah Who created them if it is Him ye wish to serve.” (41:37)

This banner is placed just ahead of Maha Shivarathri-a Hindu religious festival, where thousands of devotees throng the temple. Hindu Munnani activists informed the Commissioner of Police, Chennai, requested to remove the banner, failing which will result into huge protest by them. Immediately, the police removed the banner.

The evil attempt by an extremist Islamist outfit of Mylapore Chennai to vilify Hindu way of worship was promptly defeated by alert Hindus.

Another move to shiver Hindu unity. Religion may be kept out of marriage certificates.

Feb 21, 2012 | DC | Asian age | New Delhi

NEW DELHI :The government is considering a change in the law to exclude the religion of individuals from marriage certificates. This follows demands by minority groups, including Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists, now shown as Hindus in official documents.

The law ministry is likely to put up a proposal before the Union Cabinet that marriage certificates are made religion-neutral and the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1969 be amended by adding a clause on marriage registration.

The law ministry says since the infrastructure to register births and deaths are already in place, the registration of marriages could be handled with ease by civic authorities. The existing system of religion-based certificates is also likely to continue.

Sources said the Cabinet would take it up after the model code, now in force for the state elections, lapses in March. This move is expected to help couples facing social pressure for marrying against community wishes.

Sikh groups have claimed that Sikhs face problems abroad as their certificates are issued under the Hindu Marriage Act 1955. Another option could be to revive the Anand Marriage Act 1909. Sikh marriage ceremonies are known as ‘Anand Karaj’.

The Anand Marriage Act, enacted under the Raj, was scrapped after Partition, and Sikh marriages were registered under the Hindu Marriage Act. Jains and Buddhists too are issued certificates under Hindu laws.

18th anniversary of Babri destruction for restoration of the Hindu dignity by building a Grand Ram Janma Bhoomi Temple.

Hindu Existence News | Dec. 6th 2010 | Lacknow : Uttar Pradesh : India | Hindu Activists remember the sacrifice all 1000000 martyrs for the liberation of Ram Janma Bhoomi ( birth place of lord Rama)at Ayodhya,  since a military general of Mughal emperor Babur  captured that holy place of Hindus and destructed the old temple in 1528 AD.

While some parts of Hyderabad, Lacknow and other Muslim influenced areas remained shut on Monday in response to a call given by Muslim organizations to mark the 18th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on  Dec. 6th 1992, the Hindu organizations observed this day in this year with a festive mood as the recent verdict of designated court accepted the historic view supporting a certain existence of old temple before the disputed mosque structure erected there forcefully.

Hindus prayed to their Lord Rama to shift the hurdles for an early clearance in all respect in the higher judiciary from the arm-twisting of litigant sides so that their desired Ram Temple can be established and also paid homage to all souls so sacrificed for their battle of Ram Janma Bhoomi.

Muslims put black badges on their shirts to mark it as a protest against Indian Judiciary and are being united to launch a nation-wide agitation to get back a Babri Mosque in Ayodhya again as a Muslim supremacy over the majority Hindus as existed in Mughal period in India.

In this year RSS-VHP have launched a nation-wide Hanumat Shakti Jagaran programme to boost up Ram Janma Bhoomi Temple movement to set its final phase for the construction of the Temple by defeating any challenges in all quarters. Thousands of Hanumat Shakti Jagaran Programmes have been organized successfully all over the country.

As branded Hindu protagonist, Naipaul cancels Turkey visit after protests

From the Newspaper
November 25, 2010 (3 days ago)

ISTANBUL: Nobel-winning writer V.S. Naipaul has pulled out from a literary event in Istanbul following protests over his critical views on Islam, organisers were quoted as saying on Wednesday.

The Turkish media has “politicised” the author`s participation and “the essential goal of the event and V.S. Naipaul`s contribution as an author has been overshadowed”, the statement, carried by Anatolia news agency, said.

The pullout decision was taken in mutual agreement with the author, the statement, released jointly by organisers and Naipaul`s literary agent, added.

The gathering of the so-called European Writers Parliament, scheduled to start on Thursday, is part of events marking Istanbuls status as European “capital of culture” this year, bestowed by the European Union.

Some Turkish participants had threatened to boycott the gathering if Naipaul attended, with several newspaper columnists denouncing organisers for having invited the Trinidadian writer of Indian descent, who won the Nobel Prize for literature in 2001.British-based Naipaul, 78, has stirred controversy in the past, arguing that Muslims both enslaved and attempted to wipe out other cultures, resulting in a “calamitous effect” on converted peoples worse than that of colonialism.

Naipaul has written two books on Islam, “Among the Believers” and “Beyond Belief”, for which he travelled extensively in Muslim countries. —AFP

Narasimha Rao had a desire to build Ram mandir at Ayodhya: VHP

Associated Press Tags : Ayodhya, Ashok Singhal, Narasimha Rao, Ram Mandir Posted: Thu Nov 25 2010, 21:54 hrs Vijayawada:

VHP leader Ashok Singhal today claimed that former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao had a desire to build Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya.

“Narasimha Rao had a desire to construct Ram Mandir at Ayodhya and with this intention only the then government had acquired 70 acres of land adjacent to the disputed site,” Singhal told a gathering at a foundation stone laying ceremony here.

Singhal said he revealed this secret only after the Allahabad High Court’s verdict on Ayodhya title suit. He hoped that the Supreme Court’s judgement will be in favour of the temple.

The VHP approached the Supreme Court to get the entire plot, though it was satisfied with the High Court bench dividing the site into three parts, Singhal said.

“It is the wish of entire Hindu community to build a Ram Mandir at Ayodhya and the wish would be fulfilled with the construction of a temple on the 70-acre land acquired for this purpose,” he said. Read More …………..

“Islamic Love Jehad” making inroads into Jammu: VHP

Vikram Sharma, Hindustan Times
Email Author || Jammu, November 14, 2010

Vishva Hindu Parishad has termed the recent movement of interfaith marriages in Jammu among Muslim boys and Hindu girls as an “Islamic Love Jehad” to induct Islamic domination in the region. “The exercise contains government patronage as everything is being done openly without any administrative check to it,’ said Ramakant Dubey, VHP president sounding a warning that if immediate containment is not maintained against the ‘unholy practice’, Jammu people would have to rise for a rebellion.

“The only way to fight against jehad is jehad,” said Ramakant adding that present dispensation instead of making tall claims on national and international levels must look into the state affairs first.

“We submit a request to chief minister to take serious note of the unholy practice and rein in such exercise, failing which, Jammu would be left with no option but to revolt which may lead to damaging consequences,” said the VHP chief.  Read more here………

Digging Copper mine in Afghanistan unearths 2,600-year-old Buddhist monastery

By Daily Mail Reporter || on 15th November 2010

A Chinese company digging an unexploited copper mine in Afghanistan has unearthed ancient statues of Buddha in a sprawling 2,600-year-old Buddhist monastery.

Archaeologists are rushing to salvage what they can from a major 7th century B.C. religious site along the famed Silk Road connecting Asia and the Middle East.

The ruins, including the monastery and domed shrines known as ‘stupas,’ will likely be largely destroyed once work at the mine begins.

The ruins were discovered as labourers excavated the site on behalf of the Chinese government-backed China Metallurgical Group Corp, which wants to develop the world’s second largest copper mine, lying beneath the ruins.

Hanging over the situation is the memory of the Buddhas of Bamiyan — statues towering up to 180 feet high in central Afghanistan that were dynamited to the ground in 2001 by the country’s then-rulers, the Taliban, who considered them symbols of paganism.

No one wants to be blamed for similarly razing history at Mes Aynak, in the eastern province of Logar. MCC wanted to start building the mine by the end of 2011 but under an informal understanding with the Kabul government, it has given archaeologists three years for a salvage excavation. Ganesha goes global

Aroma Sah||The Hindustan Times || October 22, 2010

This Diwali, Indian deities like the Ganesha are getting an International touch. Many global design houses have tied up with Indian corporates to come up with unique Diwali statuettes and mementos to mark the most important festival in the Indian calendar.

“Companies have a lot of resources this year, and silver develops a connect with the festival,” says Veresh Kalra of Momentz. The brand has tied up with Italian design houses such as Marcello Giorgio, Chinelli and Argenesi, and swears by their quality and craftsmanship. He adds, “Italian silver does not tarnish, while the Indian silver becomes black in just three months. Also, these internationally-crafted pieces look much more beautiful, as they are made with more precision.” Because of their superior quality, Italian designs are among the favourites this year.

“In Italy, there are areas that specialise in manufacturing silver products. Here, products are reasonably priced and come with a lifetime guarantee. The techniques are much better than those used in India, and that’s why these Italian mini idols are a hit this season in the Indian market,” says Bela Bose of Stilarte.

The corporate budget for gifts during the festive season this year varies from R5 lakh to as much as R5 crore. But firms want to spend their money on a product that is value for money, and silverware emerges as the unanimous choice, with purchases at their peak. Manufacturers of silver products are rejoicing with the burst in their business. Read more here…….

Rama Janmabhumi: Is a solution near?

Sandhya Jain ||5 November 2010

The Hindu struggle to recover the Sri Rama Janmabhumi is still some battles and skirmishes away, as all parties plan to approach the Supreme Court to rectify – to the satisfaction of each contending litigant – the fractured verdict delivered by the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Sept. 30, 2010. Hence it is dicey to engage in political forecast over whether we are near a solution to this vexed issue. Nor is it advisable to stir the waters at a time when the nation is besieged with complex and volatile problems and nothing will be gained by provoking ill will and unrest.

What is gratifying, however, is that for the first time in the decades since the murti of Ram Lalla appeared beneath the central dome of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya, and particularly since the climactic moment of Dec. 6, 1992, voices have risen within the Muslim community in favour of closure of the dispute. Some of the parties have held meetings to attempt a settlement, and important Muslim religious leaders, notably Maulana Wahiduddin Khan and Maulana Mahmood Madani, MP (Rajya Sabha) have urged Muslims to accept the High Court verdict.  Read more here…

Madras HC restrains corpn from razing Hindu temple

TIMES NEWS NETWORK ||3rd Nov, 2010

Chennai: The Madras high court on Tuesday restrained the Chennai corporation from razing a temple at Shastri Nagar and directed the civic body to remove fish stalls, hoarding and other structures put up on a place from where two other platform temples were removed in May 2010.

The first bench comprising Chief Justice M Yusuf Eqbal and Justice TS Sivagnanam passed the interim orders on a public interest petition filed by Radha Rajan. The corporation demolished two temples — Chelliamman Temple and Pillayar Temple — at First Avenue, Shastri Nagar on May 25 2010. Another — Srinivasa Perumal Temple at No. 33, First Avenue in Shastri Nagar — is sought to be demolished by the civic authorities, apparently to restore the footpath.

Alleging that the authorities were targeting only Hindu places of worship, Radha Rajan, who argued her own case, submitted that the temples were sought to be demolished without prior notice. After removing two temples in May 2010, corporation had put up its own fish stall and erected hoardings at the very same spot. Judges asked authorities to remove all fish stalls and hoardings by November 7.

Accession of J&K is Full and Final – Talk of Autonomy is Treason – RSS

AKHIL BHARATIYA KARYAKARI MANDAL

Yugabd 5112 || JALGAON 29 – 31 OCTOBER, 2010

Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal expresses serious resentment over the way the present turbulence in the Kashmir Valley is being handled by both the State and Central governments. The mistake committed in the past of trying to pamper the separatist and secessionist leaders of the Valley is being repeated this time too. Of particular concern is the lackadaisical attitude of the Central Government in addressing the issue. Never before has the Central Government been perceived as so weak and ineffective before the antics of the State Government, anti-national tirade of the secessionists and their pseudo-intellectual supporters and unwarranted internationalization of the Kashmir issue. Treacherous speeches amounting to blatant treason right under its nose go unchallenged.

The ABKM reiterates that the integration of J&K including Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzafarabad, Mirpur and Aksai Chin etc into Bharat was full and final with the signing of the Instrument of Accession by the Maharaja of J&K Sri Hari Singh on 26 October 1947 and subsequent seal of approval by Governor General Mountbaton on 27 October 1947. Successive and successful democratic elections to the State Assembly since mid-50s have ratified the integration. Indira Gandhi – Sheikh Abdullah Accord, Nov 1974 puts full stop to any further controversy over the status of the State’s integration.

The ABKM reaffirms that J&K is an integral part of Bharat and any challenge to that issue in the name of Azadi is nothing short of treason. Azadi has become a euphemism for Islamist and pro-Pakistan secessionism.

Muslim Tsunami has begun in Kerala to crush Hindu existence

Local body elections in Kerala in 2010 will be watermark in the history of Kerala. Two major developments have notified all Keralites about the shape of things to come:-

1.   Election victory of Prof. Anas who is the master-mind in hand chop-off case (of a Christian Professor, T J Joseph ).

2.  Emergence of Muslim League as the third largest political party.

Now there is no excuse for any Keralite to feign ignorance of the impending tsunami. Anyone who is ignoring these developments in Kerala are only living in a Fool’s Paradise and not God’s Own Country.

Prof. Anas has won the election democratically from his jail cell. He won the election convincingly without any malpractice or manipulation. The last time our leaders got elected from their jail cells was during the independence struggle. And throughout the world this is the same – jailed leaders who get elected are the ones who spearhead separation (what they also call as liberation). A separatist movement in Kerala, similar to Kashmir , is maximum one decade away, if the AMU-annexe starting up in Malappuram does not achieve it earlier.

Emergence of the only communal party (by name) in India viz. IUML, as the third largest political party is the fuel that is getting added to the separatist fire. IUML has dislodged CPI from the third place and it has established its all-Kerala presence. In all districts, cities, towns and villages in Kerala there are Muslim strongholds. Karunagappally in Kollam is as much vulnerable as Bheemapalli in TVM and Perinthalmanna in Malappuram. The Muslim tsunami has just started. Terror and Gulf money will overwhelm the weak and vulnerable very soon. Kerala’s future looks very pathetic.

Why Islamic banking is not acceptable in India

By Subramanian Swamy || Courtesy Haindava Keralam

Islamic scholars argue that payment of interest is a bane on the society. What are the alternatives especially example, for old-aged people who live on the interest from deposits of their lifelong savings, if interest is prohibited? How will banks survive without charging interest on loans extended?

An Islamic banks cannot charge interest, but then what does it do to survive? By giving by one hand, and taking away twice as much or more by the other hand! Let us take an example: If you want to purchase a house worth Rs 10 lakh an Islamic bank will not give you a loan of Rs 10 lakh at a rate of interest and fixed maturity as non-Islamic banks would. Instead the Islamic banks will purchase the house and sell it to you at a higher price! This means they will make a profit and such profit is called halal, as per Sharia! They will ask you to pay this back in say 15 years or so. Of course, interest-free. This is back-door collection of interest.  Read details here…….

“The mahasabha would file its appeal in the apex court against the High Court verdict by November 10 and has authorised its national leader Dinesh Chandra Tyagi to pursue the case,” state unit president of the mahasabha Kamlesh Tewari said here.

He said that at a recent meeting of all factions of the party it was decided that since Tyagi has been looking after the case in the High Court he should continue to do so in the Supreme Court.

“Counsel Hari Shankar Jain, who had represented the mahasabha in the High Court, would continue to look after it,” Tewari said. Read details here……

Ref: Hindu-Fire Temple of Baku(Surakhani)at Azerbijan

I have visited the Temple in 1999. Its not a Hindu temple – a purely Zoroastrian Temple of ancient time, when Azerbaijan was part of greater Persia. As you know the Zoroastrian Faithfuls are fire-worshipers.

In fact late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of India also visited the temple when Azerbaijan was a state within grand-old communist Russian Federation.

Utsav Chakroborty commented in media_watch in the topic : Hindu-Fire Temple of Baku(Surakhani)at Azerbijan

It seems people used to think of it being a Zoroastrian temple, but Azeri and international scholars consider it to be a Hindu temple because of small pieces of Hindu deities found at the site.

Suhas for Utsav’s comment seems to be more justfied.

Obviously, we should not expect that a Hindu temple native to Caucasus will have a architecture similar to that of a Hindu temple from Gujarat, Madurai or Birbhum.

Its not true what scholars think in this case. I didn’t see any pieces of Hindu deities during my several trips.. Besides, these days with independent Azerbaijan many Zorastrians are making pilgrimage to the Temple every year. I have also met the long-term Conservator of this Temple – a lady with Ph.D..in history. She did never mention about once the Temple being a Hindu Temple.
Now, if this Temple was built on an old Hindu Temple site during Islamization of entire Persia or later during Soviet occupation, I can’t make any comment.

The structure of this Fire Temple (Jwala Ji Mandir) has its own unique Azerbaijani flavour/style of Architecture.

This Mandir outside Baku has always been a place of Hindu pilgrimage for centuries and is called the Badi Jwala Mandir, while the Choti Jwala Mandir is in Kangra (Himachal Pradesh).

A delegation of Zoroastrian priests (Parsi Dasturs) acknowledged that this Mandir outside Baku is a Hindu Mandir, not a Zorastrian Agiyari.

Please check out the inscriptions in Devnagari and Gurmukhi, and other relevant details about the Azerbaijani temple in the Wikipedia link below:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ateshgah_of_Baku

The Azeri government has put up dioramas with Hindu Yogis meditating at this temple.

On a lighter note, I was surprised to see a mention of this Azerbaijani temple being a Hindu pilgrimage Sthal for centuries, appear in the James Bond movie “The World Is Not Enough” (1999).

P.S: I agree with Utsav. We Hindus (even some Hindu activists) tend to subconsciously associate Indian-ness with Hindu-ness. This mental block needs to be dispelled.

Hindu Dharma has an international presence with sizeable numbers of Hindus living in about 100 countries for many centuries.

Hence the indigenous Cham Hindus of Vietnam have built their Shiva temples with a distinct Cham style. But are these 40,000 Cham Hindus today Indian? They don’t need to be.

Similarly, Hindu Dharma has been extinguished in our very lifetime from Afghanistan and yet Hindu society do not connect the dots and will soon forget that Gandhara and Kabul/Kapisa were Hindu homelands.

Any intelligent thoughts on how the Mitanni civilisation that ruled in northern Mesopotamia (including Syria) around 3300 years ago worshipped Hindu Deities like Mitra, Varuna, Indra, and Nasatya (Ashvins) ?

What the hell is our anti Hindu govt doing whether Congress or BJP.Congress ko toh chod he do. BJP kya kar rahe thhe jab Hindus ko Kashmir se nikal diya tha. There is no such strong Govt. in India which can protect Hindu majority, culture & tradition. Now, Baba Ramdev is doing efforts for showing the fraud and failure of our Govt. I hope there efforts might become fruitful.
I always dreamed of Hindu world having beautiful temples, traditions, festivals. No other religion is like us. Many inventions and theories which has becoming true is mentioned in our Vedas in different languages. In short..”PROUD TO BE A HINDU”

      Hari Om,

In Hinduism there is only one GOD, supreme personality, Lord Vishnu. He has different incarnation on earth and different forms. All these forms of the millions of Hindu gods and goddess are of the same person Vishnu. He is sometimes referred to as Krishna, Rama, Parasurama and yes even Buddha (founder of Buddhism). Do not confuse that Hindu has different gods, it is the same supreme personality GOD Vishnu in different forms. It is like you preparing different type of foods with the same basic ingredients for different food values, taste and flavors. In Srinad Bhagavad Gita (the Hindu holy book) and also in the VEDAS (the book of ultimate knowledge, also a Holy book in Hinduism) GOD has clarified the concept of his singular existence in plural forms a number of times and has repeated that no matter which ever God you worship and offer prayer, it all comes to me.

      Regards,
      Arnab

Attended Deepavali last night in the Little India neighborhood of Singapore. This is the festival of lights, and it certainly lived up to it’s name! The display of colored lights was fantastic, and the excitement of the festival was evident. This was my first experience with this Indian Festival, and I’m so glad I had a chance to experience it! It certainly was beautiful!
