Constitutional Hindu Rashtra is a practical solution for the protection of Hindus in Bharat: VHP.

Posted by hinduexistence on March 2, 2015

VHP Delhi

“Nothing wrong in ‘ghar wapsi, what is wrong in coming back?” : Jain Muni  Tarun Sagar.

A constitutional amendment making India a “Hindu rashtra” would be a good solution to protect the Hindus: Dr. Praveen Togadia.

Muslims and Christians in the country should admit that their ancestors were Hindus: Dr. Subramanian Swamy.

VHP Golden JubileeHENB | Indraprasth (Delhi) | 1 March 2015::   On the occasion of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, organised Virat Hindu Sammelan – Mega Hindu Gathering on Sunday, March 01, 2015, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium New Delhi.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad today waded into the controversy relating to religious conversions, saying there is nothing wrong in its ‘ghar wapsi’ programme and called for a law to check “forced” conversions.

The VHP said Parliament should pass a law on forced religious conversions and maintained that while conversions were wrong, there is nothing wrong in ‘ghar wapsi’ or reconversion back to Hinduism.

Addressing a congregation here to mark VHP’s golden jubilee, VHP’s International Working President Pravin Togadia said Congress President Sonia Gandhi and SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav should ensure passage of a bill in Parliament to prevent religious conversions.

“Let there be no conversions, but say yes to ghar wapsi,” he said addressing the gathering.

Claiming that Hindus were not safe in India, he said if we are not careful, then states like Assam, West Bengal and Kerala will be “devoid” of any Hindu population.

Togadia also slammed US President Barack Obama for his recent “religious intolerance” remarks, saying “we do not require sermons” as they have failed to prevent an attack on a temple there. He, however, did not name the US President.

Togadia said Art. 25 of the Constitution lays down that a person has freedom of conscience and can engage in free profession, practice and propagation of religion.

The VHP leader’s remarks came days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Lok Sabha that “nobody has the right to discriminate on the basis of religion… No one has the right to take law into his hands”.

Referring to the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Togadia said VHP is celebrating a festival today to marks its anniversary as there is still no Ram Temple there.

We will have festivities once there is a Ram temple, once four lakh Kashmiri Hindus return to the Valley trampling on the chests of jihadis,” he said.

He said that to protect the interests of Hindu, a constitutional amendment making India a “Hindu rashtra” would be a good solution.

Addressing the gathering, VHP’s International President G Raghava Reddy said there was a need to maintain the Hindu population at 80 per cent in the country.

“While Christians have monetary sources for conversions and Muslims have force of population, the Hindus should do a course on unity,” he said.

He alleged that Christians get Rs 40,000 crore annually for conversion activities.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said Muslims and Christians in the country should admit that their ancestors were Hindus.

He also said he will work for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya by seeking a judicial pronouncement in its favour.

Jagatguru Shankrachayra Vasudevanand Saraswati sought to play down the controversy surrounding Sai Baba as some remarks were made against him by certain Hindu religious leaders. He said Sai Baba was a Hindu and a Brahmin and his name should not be dragged into any controversy.

He said that the 2014 Lok Sabha election results show that Hindus had united to vote for BJP.

On the issue of conversions, he said that while it was a crime to convert people, reconversion of those who had earlier converted to other religions was “welcome”.

Tarun Sagar, a Jain monk, spoke on similar lines, saying that while he opposes conversions, “what is wrong in coming back?”

Present: Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati ji Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Satyamitranand Giri ji Maharaj, Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand ji Maharaj, Pujya Sant Tarun Sagar ji Maharaj, Buddhist Saint Lama Tyogdan Rimpoche ji Maharaj from Ladakh, Shri Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj from Vishwajagriti Mission along with Joint General secretary-RSS, Suresh Soni, VHP veteran Ashok Singhal, President Raghav Reddy, working president Dr. Pravin  Togadia, vice president Rajmata Chandrakanta ji, Organising Gen sec, Dinesh Chandra, Dr. Subramanian Swami and the national convener of Bajrang Dal shri Rajesh Pandey, were present in the  the mega gathering.

Hindu Scriptures Mention Theory of Gravitation 1500 Years Before Isaac Newton.

Aryabhatta knew about gravity before Isaac Newton: ex-ISRO chief G Madhavan Nair

Eminent scientist and ex chairman of ISRO said that Vedas and ancient Indian scriptures also had information on metallurgy, algebra, astronomy, maths etc. way before the western world knew about them.

Eminent scientist and  former ISRO chairman  G Madhavan Nair said that Vedas and ancient Indian scriptures also had information on metallurgy, algebra, astronomy, maths etc. way before the western world knew about them.

PTI |New Delhi | 22 Feb, 2015:: One of the country’s leading scientists and former ISRO chairman G Madhavan Nair today propounded the theory that some shlokas in the Vedas mentioned about presence of water on the moon and astronomy experts like Aryabhatta knew about gravitational force much before Isaac Newton.

The 71-year-old Padma Vibhushan awardee said the Indian vedas and ancient scriptures also had information on metallurgy, algebra, astronomy, maths, architecture and astrology way before the western world knew about them.

Speaking at an international conference on Vedas, he however, added that the information in Vedas was in a “condensed format” which made it difficult for the modern science to accept it.

“Some sholkas in one of the Vedas say that there is water on the moon but no one believed it. Through our Chandrayaan mission, we could establish that and we were the first ones to find that out,” Nair said, adding that everything in Vedas could not be understood as they were in chaste Sanskrit.

He also talked very highly about fifth century astronomer- mathematician Aryabhatta saying, “We are really proud that Aryabhatta and Bhaskara have done extensive work on planetary work and exploration of outer planets. It was one of the challenging fields.

“Even for Chandrayaan, the equation of Aryabhatta was used. Even the (knowledge of) gravitational field… Newton found it some 1500 years later… the knowledge existing (in our scriptures),” he said.

Nair, who was ISRO chairman from 2003-09, also claimed geometry was used to make calculations for building cities during the Harappan civilisation and the Pythagorean theorem also existed since the vedic period.

The comments by Nair came in the backdrop of many BJP leaders talking about ancient Indian scriptures having scientific information including on plastic surgery as well as aero-dynamics.

“The Vedas had a lot of information in the field of space and atomic energy. We were fine until 600 BC. Then came the time of invasions till Independence. Since then, we are growing. We deciphered the atoms for peaceful use,” Mr Nair said.

While serving in ISRO, Mr Nair had made significant contributions to the development of multi-stage satellite launch vehicles.

“As a scientist, I would say that the computations evolved those days were really fantastic. The Vedanga Jyotisa (one of the earliest books on astronomy) is one of the texts, which is evolved in 1400 BC… this is all recorded,” he said.

“These are the fundamental findings which the Western world did not have any knowledge of. The only drawback was this information was condensed to bullet form and the modern science does not accept this. And to read the Vedas, one must also know Sanskrit,” Mr Nair added.

An Open Letter to Narendra Modi about Delhi Defeat & United Hindu Electorate.

Posted by hinduexistence on February 17, 2015

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PM MODI ABOUT THE DELHI DEFEAT & A UNITED HINDU ELECTORATE.

Dear Mr Prime Minister,

Hindu Lights.First let me tell you that many a times, I felt that some Divine Force was inspiring you – the way Sri Aurobindo said that Churchill was guided by Him to fight the Nazis…

But then, I have to say, as someone who travels extensively in India & has spent a lot of time in Delhi for the last 40 years (I have interviewed 7 Indian PM’s), that nothing much has changed. Your ministers are still as unreachable as the Congress ones, functioning in the same system with four layers of secretaries. Even if you have an important work – there is no way you can meet one of your ministers unless you have some pull. Your MP’s, as the Congress ones before them, once they come to Delhi, with their cars, bungalows, countless aides, and so many sycophants coming for favours, quickly lose sight of why they were elected. You need to send them BACK to their constituencies the way Mao Tse Tung sent back all his cadres to the countryside. Delhi is a microcosm of India and you seem to have lost there some of the Hindu electorate who voted for you UNITEDLY, from the Dalit to the businessmen. Some of us had seen this coming for a few months already.

You need to have around you people who will tell you what the mood of the people is – without ANY FEAR – for I have seen, even with gurus, that their followers always want to please them, flatter them and thus shield them from the truth. It is something inherent to the Hindu psyche. If this had been done, maybe we could have told you that the middle class and lower class Hindus who voted for you, want a change at the grass root level. They are not concerned about Obama and nuclear energy, or the way you are skillfully loosening the Chinese encircling grip, or the remarkable unifying of intelligence and their agencies you are doing with Mr Doval, but about the daily problems and the constant bribes that are asked by petty bureaucrats and policemen. I myself experience this in Maharashtra as I am asked bribes for getting permissions for a Museum, which is free, dedicated to Shivaji Maharaj and a sewa project!

Also they do not understand why you were so fiery and outspoken while campaigning – and now that you are elected, you do not seem any more to be promoting their Hindu causes. They cannot fathom, for instance in their simple minds, why you are being so friendly to Sonia Gandhi, who wanted you in prison or even dead – and why you are keeping away from those who supported you in your darkest hours, when nobody thought that you would become PM. These old friends of yours are still keeping quiet, out of respect for your work, but I know many who are bitter. The common Hindu man does not comprehend either why no one in your Government stands by reconversions of Christians or Muslims to Hinduism. During the last Tsunami, at least 10% of the Tamil Nadu fishermen were converted by Christian missionaries, using financial baits, such as free boats. I was there and SAW it. Or why when one of yours says that Hindus must produce more children, he is booed down. We know that Muslims produce seven to eight children per couple and in some areas of India they are now in majority and will NOT vote for you. It is true that there have been vandalizing of churches in Delhi, whether intentional, or just by some common thieves. But this is an old trick of Indian Christians to evoke sympathy from Obama and C° and bring pressure & discredit upon you. You should know better than that: Christians have been the aggressors in this country & the Pope still thinks that India is a fair target for mass conversions.

We understand that you must be the Prime Minister of all Indians and that you have to rise above sectarism, but there has to be in the public a perception that you are the PRIME MINISTER OF HINDUS BECAUSE IT IS THEY WHO VOTED FOR YOU – not the Muslims – whatever Ram Madhav told you before the Kashmir elections, which is going to be another thorn in your heel (and if you do not remove article 370 soon, most Hindus will lose faith in your government). To cultivate the Muslims, thinking that they will like you in the end, as Mr Vajpayee did, under the influence of the nice but misguided Suddeendhra Kulkarni, is not only a waste of time, but also may ALIENATE YOU HINDU VOTERS, whom you are going to need in four years again and at different state elections. Let the Muslims of India know that they possess the same rights as any Hindus, Sikhs or Christians, which they actually have, including total freedom of worship, that Hindus have neither in Bangladesh, Pakistan or Saudi Arabia, but do not go out of your way to please them. When the common man of Delhi sees that you received Aamir Khan, whose film PK, is a deliberate insult to all Hindu gurus & Hindus, they think something is not right. Also they do not understand why so many Hindu gurus and activists such as sadhvi Pragya and Colonel Purohit, whose innocence has been proved, are still languishing in jail. Congress had no qualms in favouring their people and flouting all decent rules. This isn’t about ethics, but if your aim is just, dharmic, and I believe it is, it does not matter what means are used.

Francois GautierThe Congress got elected and elected again with mostly the Muslims votes, till Kejriwal came, You need to CULTIVATE THE HINDU ELECTORATE Sir, by making gestures, even if you let your people do them and stand back. And that has to be done QUICKLY. If they are convinced that you are working for them, you will have the two or even three terms you need to achieve a real Renaissance of India. Democracy is a beautiful but skewed system, easy to hijack by adharmic forces. To realise all the great things you have undertaken, YOU NEED A UNIFIED HINDU VOTE.

The trap now is to listen to the Media which says that your party lost in Delhi because of ‘communal’ reasons – vandalizing of churches, statements by your people about reconversions, or your so-called ten lakh suit. This will prod you and your government to go more secular, let go of more of the pledges you made for the Hindu cause during your campaign, the same way the Vajpayee Government veered away gradually from its Hindu ideals – and lost the elections to Sonia Gandhi.

But think of it like that: you got elected in May last year with a massive mandate BECAUSE of your dedicated, sincere and fiery HINDU promises. There is no reason why it should not work the same way now that you have the power. You need to stick by what your pledged Sir – whatever the Media, Obama, your bureaucrats or the Foreign Press says…

The Hindutva Legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Netaji, Hindutva and Nationalism

~ Kanchan Gupta

Saint and SoldierAs the nation, or what passes for it in this wondrous land with an abysmally poor sense of history, observes the 118th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, perhaps the time has come for one of India’s great leaders to be freed from the confines of political myth-making that has reduced him to calendar lithographs which adorn living rooms in provincial Bengal and the dimly lit offices of the Forward Bloc in Kolkata.

In a sense, that would mark the posthumous homecoming for a nationalist who believed that rashtrabhakti is a synthesis of religion and nationalism, of the spiritual and the political. In the early decades of this century, when others were looking up to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi for inspiration, Bose was looking elsewhere for guidance: His search for a religious philosophy that would spur political activism led him to explore the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and the writings of Aurobindo Ghosh. The latter made a lasting impression on his mind, providing his political activism with a religious side.

The profound Impact that Aurobindo Ghosh had on Subhas Chandra Bose is reflected in his autobiography: “In my undergraduate days, Aurobindo Ghosh was easily the most popular leader in Bengal… a mixture of spirituality and politics had given him a halo of mysticism and made his personality more fascinating to those who were religiously inclined… We felt convinced that spiritual enlightenment was necessary for effective national service…”

It is, therefore, not surprising that he should have also been influenced by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s construction of nationalism. And like Aurobindo Ghosh, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and Bal Gangadhar Tilak, the Indian nation for him extended beyond the geographical to the devotional plane. During his college days he discovered the wretchedness of not India but “impoverished Mother India.”

Curiously, his view of the other India, the one which appears so distant from the fashionable drawing rooms and glittering malls of our cities, is not different from those who believe that a divide separates ‘us’ and ‘them’. For, “the picture of real India”, which Subhas Chandra Bose described as “the India of the villages where poverty stalks the land, men die like flies, and illiteracy is the prevailing order”, is also the India which many believe should receive priority over that India which revels in rejecting anything that carries the label ‘Made in India’, including Hindu spirituality and religious philosophy.

In his book, Brothers Against The Raj, Leonard A Gordon writes about Bose’s quest for a religious philosophy to serve as the core of nationalism and sustain his political activism: “Inner religious explorations continued to be a part of his adult life. This set him apart from the slowly growing number of atheistic socialists and communists who dotted the Indian landscape.” And it was this “religious exploration” that set apart Subhas Chandra Bose from Jawaharlal Nehru for whom “this was a vain quest”. Although Bose scrupulously avoided publishing his faith or his quest, he remained firm in his belief that “Hinduism was an essential part of his Indianness”, his Bharatiyata. In other words, he subscribed to cultural nationalism or, call it If you must by its other name, Hindutva.

This did not, however, make him a bigoted Hindu, nor did it propel him towards Hindu orthodoxy. Commenting on the “definite Hindu streak in Bose’s dislike for Gandhi”, Nirad C Chaudhuri records in his memoirs, Thy Hand! Great Anarch, “He was in no sense a bigoted or even orthodox Hindu. But he had grown up in the first two decades of the twentieth century in Bengal, where, owing to the influence of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee and Swami Vivekananda, there was a fusion of religion and nationalism, so that the nationalist feeling had a pronounced Hindu complexion and Hinduism a pronounced political character.”

This “fusion of religion and nationalism” and Hinduism with a “pronounced political character” came into play in 1925 when during his incarceration at Mandalay prison, Subhas Chandra Bose, along with the other Bengali prisoners, organised Durga Puja on the jail premises and demanded that the expenses be borne by the authorities. When the latter refused, Bose converted his spiritual quest into a political campaign by launching a hunger strike. This practice of political Hinduism had an electrifying impact on public opinion and soon the Swarajists lent their voice to the popular demand for the release of all political prisoners who had not been charged with specific crimes.

Those who deride nationalism, more so cultural nationalism, as narrow, selfish and aggressive, a hindrance to the promotion of internationalism, would do well to go through Bose’s speech at Poona after being elected president of the Maharashtra Provincial Conference. “Indian nationalism,” Subhas Chandra Bose asserted, “is inspired by the highest ideals of the human race, Satyam, ShivamSundaram. Nationalism in India has… roused the creative faculties which for centuries had been lying dormant in our people…”

Sadly, nationalism has now been rendered politically incorrect by our deracinated intelligentsia and abandoned by our corrupt political elite. [Originally published in Niti Central]

Hedgewar-Netaji Contact

~ Rakesh Sinha

Subhas - HedgewarKeshava Baliram Hedgewar (April 1, 1889 – June 21, 1940) was the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Hedgewar founded the RSS in Nagpur, Maharashtra in 1925, with the intention of promoting the concept of the Hindu nation. Hedgewar drew upon influences from social and spiritual Hindu reformers such as Swami Vivekananda, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and Aurobindo to develop the core philosophy of the RSS.

He went to Kolkata to pursue a Degree in Medicine. After successful completion, Hedgewar was drawn into the influence of secret revolutionary organisations like the Anushilan Samiti and Jugantar in Bengal.

He was also a member of the Hindu Mahasabha till 1929. Hedgewar was imprisoned for sedition by the British government in 1921 for a year and again in 1930 for nine months. After his spell in prison he instructed the RSS to remain aloof from political activities including the Salt Satyagraha (1930) and continue mainly as a social organisation.

Dr. Hedgewar regarded independence and national unity as complimentary, like two sides of the same coin. Therefore, even after embarking upon the work for national unity he did not abandon working for independence. In the year 1928, he took part in the Congress convention held in Calcutta. There he discussed about the Sangh mission and about the national situation with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Both the leaders exchanged views on the number of subjects concerning the Indian nation and appreciated each others point of view.

In the year 1930 in its Lahore convention. Congress declared “full freedom” as its objective. Dr. Hedgewar was naturally delighted at this.

http://kvpuniverse.org/About%20Dr.html

Hedgewar as a medical student in Calcutta had been part of the revolutionary activities of the Anushilan Samiti and Jugantar. (Chitkara M G, Hindutva, Published by APH Publishing, 1997 ISBN 8170247985, 9788170247982)

He was charged with sedition in 1921 by the British Administration and served a year in prison. He was briefly a member of Indian National Congress. In 1925, he left the Congress to form the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, which would become the focal point of Hindu movements in Independent India. After the formation of the RSS too, Hedgewar was to take part in the Indian National Congress led movements against the British rule. He joined the Jungle Satyagraha agitation in 1931 and served a second term in prison. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh started by him became one of the most prominent Hindu organization with its influence ranging in the social and political spheres of India.

Hedgewar’s political career begins from 1905 and ends with his death in 1940. In the first phase (1905 – 1918) of his political life, he was ‘an unalloyed Tilakite. Maharashtra witnessed two simultaneous lines in the public life one, propagated by Agarkar, emphasised the necessity of social radicalism as precondition of political change. But, Tilak emphasised on political activities as the first priority. Hedgewar endorsed Tilak’s approach.
Pandurao’s Khankhaje, leader of Swadesh Bandhav, a revolutionary organisation, wrote in Kesari, “Hedgewar and the other young men were in the forefront of Swadeshi propaganda and delivering speeches”. After joining National Medical College in Calcutta in 1910 with the sole aim to participate in revolutionary activities, he became active member of “Anushilan Samiti” with his code name “Koken”. He was closely associated with revolutionaries like Nalini Kishor Guha (who provides authentic account of Hedgewar’s revolutionary activities in Calcutta during his stay from 1910 – 1916). After his return from Calcutta to Nagpur, he used his contacts to organise revolutionaries with a plan of “armed revolt” which, according to P.L. Joshi (in his article “Mobilisation in Vidharba by Tilak in political thought and leadership of Tilak” edited by N.R. Inamdar P.370) was dropped on the advice of Tilak. Hedgewar’s revolutionary group was the biggest one and consisted of 150 hard core revolutionaries. G.M. Huddar says Hedgewar’s revolutionary group resembled a secret “conspiratorial group” of young men. (G.M. Huddar in -RSS and Netaji in the Illustrated Weekly of India, Oct. 7,1 1979). His plan of armed revolt was not an isolated case of adventurism but it was coincided by his manifesto for Indians Independence which was to be declared from many countries. He postponed his plan on the advise of Dr B. S. Moonje. (Hedgewar’s role in freedom struggle – Indian Express, Rakesh Sinha – 24 June 1996)

Savarkar-Bose Meet

~ Balbir K. Punj

10942757_592727544162155_264012458540301784_nA meeting which took place between Bose and Savarkar in Bombay in June 1940. On this occasion Savarkar is supposed to have suggested to Subhas that he should go to Europe and seek the dictators’ support. According to a article in the Times of India of June 24, Mr Bose had also talks with Mr V D Savarkar, president of the All India Hindu Mahasabha, at the latter’s residence at Dadar on Saturday evening. It is understood that the discussions related to the present political situation in the country and the steps the Hindu Mahasabha and the ‘Forward Bloc’ should take in co-operation with other parties. The episode, as always, did not go unnoticed by the police, who gave a brief account of it:
Subhas Chandra Bose arrived in Bombay on June 22nd and had discussions with V D Savarkar with a view of exploring the possibilities of co-operation between the Forward Bloc and the Hindu Mahasabha respectively. (MSA, Home Special Department, 1023, 1939-40, SA dated June 29, 1940, ‘Forward Bloc’).

The absence of accounts by the Hindu Mahasabha on the meeting can be explained by the fact that, both the leaders being involved in anti-British activities, it would not make sense leaving records of sensitive matters. Not even among Bose’s papers and writings is there any reference to the meeting. It is therefore impossible to reconstruct the content of the talks between the two leaders, unless we trust the only source available. This is the speech made by Savarkar on the occasion of the dissolution of the Abhinav Bharat in 1952. Certainly the meeting did take place, and very possibly the two leaders discussed Bose’s intention to go to Europe and seek the support of the axis powers. Savarkar inspired Bose, who, right from 1933, had his own connections with the dictators’ governments. The working committee of September 10 decided which steps should be taken in order to prepare the nation to face the emergency provoked by the outbreak of the war.

The preliminary condition was the devolution of full powers to a central Indian government by the British. The committee wished for the realization of the militarisation of Indian society and the Indianisation of the army. It requested a reform of the Arms Act, along the lines prevailing in the UK. It demanded also that territorial forces and paramilitary groups be strengthened, that new military organisations be created in those provinces where they did not exist before.
(NMML, Moonje papers, subject files, n 51).

A study of relations between two towering contemporaries Veer Savarkar (1883-1966) and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose (1897-1945?) will prove interesting. On the “longest day,” June 21, 1940, Subhas Chandra Bose called on to Savarkar at Savarkar Sadan, Bombay. Savarkar advised Subhas not to waste time in agitating for the removal of British statues like Holwell Monument in Calcutta – only to end up in a British prison during the invaluable war-time. Savarkar, was surreptitiously in touch with Rash Behari Bose in Japan. He advocated that Subhas should smuggle himself out of the country and try to reach Germany and Japan (like Indian revolutionaries duri ng World War I) to raise an Indian Army of liberation out of PoWs. In his avatar as Netaji, Subhas Bose’s future course of action developed on the prophetic lines of Veer Savarkar.

Netaji in his speech on Azad Hind Radio (June 25, 1944) acknowledged Savarkar’s perspicacity in these words: “When due to misguided political whims and lack of vision, almost all the leaders of Congress party have been decrying all the soldiers in Indian Army as mercenaries, it is heartening to know that Veer Savarkar is fearlessly exhorting the youths of India to enlist in armed forces. These enlisted youths themselves provide us with trained men and soldiers for our Indian National Army.”

On September 30, 1943 when Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose toured Andaman as the supreme commander of Azad Hind Fauz, he paid his tributes to the memories of freedom fighters imprisoned in the Cellular Jail. He got printed thousands of copies of the Tamil version of Savarkar’s Indian War of Independence of 1857 and distributed them in public. Andaman and Nicobar islands were re-named as Saheed and Swaraj islands.

Savarkar reciprocated these noble sentiments, but alas, Subhas was not there to see it. On May 10, 11, and 12 1952 during the dissolution celebration of Abhinav Bharat, the secret revolutionary party Savarkar had founded in 1904 at Pune, the bust of Netaji graced the stage for three days. Hailing Subhas as “deathless” Savarkar said, “Long live deathless Subhas, victory to the goddess of freedom.”

Yet, having said all that, in the end, I can’t help remembering an illustrious exception. Veteran communist parliamentarian and prolific scholar Prof. Hiren Mukerjee (who years later penned a study on Netaji Subhas called Bow to the Burning Gold) on February 28, 1966, that is two days after Savarkar passed away, proposed that the Lok Sabha should pay homage to Savarkar, in recognition of his services to the nation. He was supported by U.M. Trivedi of the Jan Sangh. Prof. Hiren Mukerjee said that although Savarkar was not a member of the House, there should still be some way in which the House should register its feelings on the passing away of a great leader. The House had done so in the case of Mahatma Gandhi and Stalin who were not members of the House.

Though, ultimately the House did not formally pay any homage, by observing silence, Speaker Hukum Singh conveyed the sentiments of the House to the bereaved family through the secretary of Lok Sabha. On March 4, 1966 when Union ministers, Opposition leaders, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha paid homage to Savarkar in a condolence meet organised by Delhi’s citizen’s council, Prof. Hiren Mukerjee, though differing from some of Savarkar’s views, had praised the potent brand of nationalism that he championed. Earlier Mukerjee was the one who had denounced All India Radio for not taking note of Savarkar’s Mritunjaya Diwas celebration on December 24, 1960.

Yet given their shady history it is not unnatural that the example of Hiren Mukerjee would be lost upon the communists. (Subhas vs Savarkar, Author: Balbir K. Punj, Publication: The Asian Age – Date: May 20, 2002)

Hindu Legacy of Netaji

The Hindutva Legacy of Netaji

~ Animitra Chakroborty.

The revolutionary leader Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose always referred to Vedanta and the Bhagavad-Gita as sources of inspiration for the struggle against the British. Swami Vivekananda’s teachings on universalism, his nationalist thoughts and his emphasis on social service and reform had all inspired Subhas Chandra Bose from his very young days. The fresh interpretation of the India’s ancient scriptures appealed immensely to Subhas Hindu spirituality formed the essential part of his political and social thought through his adult life, although there was no sense of bigotry or orthodoxy in it. Subhas who called himself a socialist, believed that socialism in India owed its origins to Swami Vivekananda. As historian Leonard Gordan explains “Inner religious explorations continued to be a part of his adult life. This set him apart from the slowly growing number of atheistic socialists and communists who dotted the Indian landscape.” “Hinduism was an essential part of his Indianess”. His strategy against the British also included the use of Hindu symbols and festivals. In 1925, while in Mandalay jail, he went on a hunger strike when Durga puja was not supported by prison authorities.

As a perfect son of the fiery era of freedom movement, Subhas, from his tender age had a great devotion to Dharma and was found to meditate for hours too. Devotion to Hindu Dharma in him was so high that once asceticism appeared to him as the best way. But after lots of failed efforts and disappointments he found solace in the literature of Swami Vivekananda; he considered Swami as his own Guru.

In his Taruner Swapna (a book in Bengali as a ‘Dream of a Young Boy’), Subhas reflected his true vision in the line of Worship of Mother land as outlined in ‘Ananda Math’. This line of worship of Motherland is envisaged in writings and thinking of Rishi Bankimchandra, Swami Vivekananda and Sri Aurovinda in a same manner.

Subhas was considered as the ideal convergence of Bhakti (devotion)  and Shakti (Strength) by his comrades even. It is quite amazing to note that even in his tiring times, be it the formation of Bengal Volunteers during the 1928 Kolkata session of Indian National Congress or his election as the president of Indian National Congress or his expulsion from the same party, he used to go through Srimad Bhagavad Gita and other Hindu religious books on a daily basis. Numerous citations can be quoted to prove the same.

Netaji was grosslyinfluenced by VD Savarkar, renowned theoretician and leader of All India Hindu Mahasabha, to change the track of his actions. As per Savarkar, Bose was wasting time in agitating for removal of Holwell Monument in then Calcutta and so he was advised to wage the war of national liberation from outside of India. Surely this historical advice changed Bose’s life on the whole.

Exponents of alleged secularism in India can be silenced by the fact that Netaji had high regards for Savarkar and also recognized his role. In his speech on Azad Hind Radio (June 25, 1944) he admitted Savarkar’s wisdom through these words: “When due to misguided political whims and lack of vision, almost all the leaders of Congress party have been decrying all the soldiers in Indian Army as mercenaries, it is heartening to know that Veer Savarkar is fearlessly exhorting the youths of India to enlist in armed forces. These enlisted youths themselves provide us with trained men and soldiers for our Indian National Army.”

Testaments also prove even when Indian National Army (Azad Hind Fauj) was engaged in life and death struggle Netaji used to read Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Sri Sri Chandi and perform Puja daily.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is indeed the most perfect Karma Yogi and an ardent follower of Hindutva without any duplicity or the fake shield of Secularism.

Rewrite History books, Rebuild destroyed Temples, Learn Sanskrit, Stop Conversion : Dr. Swamy.

Rebuild temples  where those were demolished by attackers, Rewrite History books written by Britishers, Make Sanskrit compulsory in School Education, Stop Conversion: Dr. Subramanian Swamy.

Subramanian Swamy in BHU

HENB | Varanasi | 27 Dec 2014::  Addressing the enthusiastic students at Banaras Hindu University’s Swatantrata Bhawan hall on the event of his university lecture series titled – ” Mai aur Mera Bharat” {Me and My India) on Saturday, Dr Subramanian Swamy said that the history books written by Indians should be promoted instead of the ones written by the Britishers.

BJP ideologue, an erstwhile Harvard Professor and National Think Tank, Dr Swamy  advocated replacing history books written by Britishers in pre-Independence era, alleging they had “distorted” facts about India. A full packed Swatantrata Bhawan of BHU witnessed an eloquent and versatile Dr Swamy with some more expectations.

Swamy said that even in the course books of schools and colleges the facts about Hindu kings should be mentioned more than the Mughal emperors like Akbar, Aurangzeb and others.

He said there was a need for rebuilding temples in places where they were allegedly demolished and mosques built.

The BJP leader also said that Sanskrit should be made compulsory in schools.

“Other than the mother tongue, Sanskrit should be made compulsory as the secondary language,” he said.

He also opined that Sanskriti would be an easy link language in India. It is easy to start ‘sanskritised’ Hindi. Large common vocabulary in Sanskrit is common with other Indian languages.

On contemporary ideology of the globe Dr Swamy said, Communism, Capitalism, Socialism have all failed. The only ideal ‘ism’ for India is Integral Humanism as propounded by Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay.

He also alleged that the Uttar Pradesh government is “forcibly” getting FIRs registered on conversion issue but there is no law regarding conversions in the state like the one in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Himachal Pradesh.

“Conversions will continue in other states also. This process has been going on for ages,” the BJP leader said.

Hindu scriptures like Mahabharata, Ramayana and Gita are the traditional source of world knowledge and human inspiration in all ages.

After Sushma Swaraj advocated ‘Gita’ as national book, L. K. Advani finds political panacea in ‘Ramayana & Mahabharata’.

Mahabharata, Ramayana great source of knowledge on politics and morality, Advani says.

Ramayan-Mahabharat-GitaPTI | New Delhi | Dec 14, 2014:: After Union minister Sushma Swaraj favoured declaring Gita as “national scripture”, veteran BJP leader LK Advani on Sunday urged people to read Mahabharata and Ramayana saying the epics are a great source of knowledge on politics and morality.

Reminiscing his days during pre-independence era, the 87-year-old leader said his grandmother would ask him to read the ‘Mahabharata’ in parts and not entirely, as there is a myth that keeping the epic at home was jinxed.

“I believe no other epic than Mahabharata is a great source of pedagogy, great source of information on politics as well as moral teachings, unity and courage,” he said.

The former deputy prime minister was speaking at a cultural programme and award ceremony to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of noted journalist and chief of Urdu newspaper ‘Daily Pratap’, K Narendra.

He said overtime he feels more comfortable conversing and reading in Hindi.

Just last week, external affairs minister Swaraj had praised Bhagwad Gita saying it should be declared ‘Rashtriya Granth’, drawing flak from some parties.

The awards were given away to felicitate journalists, social workers and public relations officers.

Among those who received the ‘Media Ratna award’ for excellence in the field of journalism include PTI Editor Ajay Kaul, Delhi Doordarshan’s Girish Nishana, Gyanendra Pandey (Lok Sabha TV), Arvind Singh (Rajya Sabha TV), Sumit Awasthi (IBN-7), Dilbar Gothi (Navbharat Times), Prashant Mishra (Dainik Jagran), Shekhar Ghosh (Dainik Bhaskar).

Taj Mahal part of ancient Hindu temple, claims UP BJP chief

Taj Mahal part of ancient temple: BJP’s rebuttal against Azam Khan’s plea on Taj handover to Waqf.

LK BajpaiPTI  Bahraich, December 08, 2014:: BAHRAICH: After Azam Khan’s demand of handing over the Taj Mahal to UP waqf board, the state’s BJP chief Laxmikant Bajpai on Sunday sought to drag the famed mausoleum into another row by claiming that it was a part of an ancient temple.

Bajpai told reporters that Mughal emperor Shah Jahan “purchased a part of Tejo Mahalaya temple’s land from Raja Jai Singh” and claimed that documents to prove it still exist.

He also alleged that “Azam Khan has usurped property of waqf and was now eyeing the world heritage Taj Mahal.”

SEE: Taj Mahal should be handed over to waqf board: Azam Khan.

“Azam’s dream to offer namaz five times at Taj will never be fulfilled,” he said.

On November 13, Khan had said that the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world, should be declared a property of the state’s waqf board.

History_Engineering_the_Taj_Mahal_42712_reSF_HD_still_624x352Khan, during a convention of ‘mutawallis’ (caretakers) asked chairman of State Sunni Central Waqf Board to make Taj Mahal a property of the board and appoint him as ‘mutwalli’.

Though, later, when reporters asked Azam about his controversial statement, he said,”why you take things said in a lighter vein so seriously.”

However, spokesman of All India Shia Personal Law Board, Maulana Yasoob Abbas, has told PTI, “As far as Mumtaz Mahal is concerned, she was a Shia, but Taj Mahal is heritage of the country and it should not be handed over to Sunni or Shia boards.”

“Shia and Sunni boards are unable to maintain their mosques and madrasas then how will they handle Taj Mahal. If the issue of handing Taj Mahal to the waqf board is raised then Shia and Sunni will come face to face, therefore it should be kept away from the tussle,” he added.

RSS is definitely marching towards a new horizon of Hindu Rashtra.

Posted by hinduexistence on December 1, 2014

New fusion in RSS introducing camp –  ‘Nav Srijan Shivir’ at Patanjali Yog Peeth, Haridwar. RSS Supremo gives clarion call to devote one hour at least daily for making a practical Hindu Rashtra.

Sarsanghchalak-ji-samapan-samaroh-mein-sambodhit-karte-hue

RSS Sarsanghchalak in Samapan Samaroh in ‘Nav Srijan Shivir’ on Sunday at Yogarshi Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Yog Peeth, Phase – II in Haridwar.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Haridwar | 30 Nov 2014::  In the valedictory session of ‘Nav Srijan Shivir’, a new fusion RSS introducing camp on Sunday, RSS chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat told participants  “Devote an hour a day and come to a Sangh shakha. It is for the benefit of the nation”. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Uttarakhand unit organised this Nav Srijan Shivir for youth at the Patanjali Yogpeeth of Baba Ramdev in Haridwar from November 28 to 30. The three-day camp was attended by 5,559 students from 251 colleges and universities of Uttarakhand. In these participants, there were 3022 graduates, 677 post graduates, 105 LLB, 38 Ph.D, 1728 coming from the field of technology including 252 instructors and 64 guides all total.

Sri Mohanji Bhagwat said though the opposition to the Sangh ideology had reduced after the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party government at the Centre, some opposition was still there and the Sangh’s aim was to unite those voices and strengthen the Sangh. Speaking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr. Bhagwat said, “We [Sangh] have sent a worthy individual [to the Centre]. He will do his work, but, that is not enough. We too have to unite as a society and work selflessly towards nation-building.”

To attract the local youth, the theme of the camp was mentioned as “think for Uttarakhand, work for Uttarakhand and one year for Uttarakhand”.

RSS Prant Pracharak of Uttrakhand Dr Harish  informed that various issues were discussed at the camp in Patanjali Yogpeeth including the environment, blood donation, tree plantation, water conservation, border security, eye donation, purity of the Ganga river, avoiding goods made in China and adopting Swadeshi articles and various social welfare issues.

Though the participants received the  guidance from Career consultant & Super-30 founder Anand Kumar, Union minister of State and shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, RSS national executive member Indresh Kumar and the co founder of Farms and Farmers Manish Kumar, but the clarion call of RSS Sarasanghachalak in the finale manifested the purpose of all such programmes for remaking Hindu Rashtra (हिन्दुराष्ट्राङ्गभूता) and the need of Hindu unity and Hindu empowerment of Bharat without any ambiguity.

Prashnottar-satr-nav-srijan-shivir-haridwar

Over 5000 youth participants got an  initial ideas about RSS in ‘Nav Srijan Shivir’ held at the Patanjali Yog Peeth, Haridwar  from November 28 to 30.

In his speech Dr Mohan Bhagwat said, Hindutva is our National identity and it comes down to us as rights and heritage of this pious land and as the glaring example of the thread of unity. To make this land highly prosperous and keep its cultural pure and intact, we have to strive and sacrifice for this land. We may not live long, but this land will remain alive with its vibrant Hinduness.

In a reply to a question Dr Mohan Bhagwat said since Afghanistan, Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka separated from the United Hindu Bharat, all put into a peril. The days are coming when we will see the Akhand Bharat (undivided India) very soon.

Actually RSS has a definite plan to re-frame this ancient land with the old Hindu values attaching the modern world advancements, as experts on RSS say. In the last five years, RSS advanced its activities in the period of repression of last UPA regime.

For a check, one can go through the reports below about the gradual growth of RSS activities in last five years.

As per information available on date a total of 39823 Shakhas are being run at 27089 places. Saptahik Milan is held at 7356 centers and Sangha-mandali is organised at 6949 places. (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Kurukhestra, March 2010).

As per information available, at present 39908 shakhas are active in 27078 places all over Bharat. Sangh work is also going on through 7990 Saptahik Milans (Weekly get-togethers) and 6431 Sangh Mandalis at different places in Bharat. (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Puttur, March 2011).

As per available information, RSS has at present 40,891 Sakha, 8508 weekly meet and 6445 Sangha Mandali (Monthly Meet throughout the country.  (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Nagpur, March 2012).

According to the information collected from all over Bharat, 42981 Shakhas are being run in 28788 places.  Sangh work is also being carried through 9557 Saptahik Milans (weekly get togethers) and 7178 Sanghmandlis (monthly get togethers). (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Jaipur, March 2013).

According to the available statistics, all over the country, 44982 Sakhas are being conducted at 29624 places. Saptahik Milans (weekly congregation) are being held at 10146 places, whereas work is being carried out in the form of Sangh Mandalis (monthly congregation) at 7387 places. (RSS Akhila Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha, Bangalore, March 2014).

As the present Prime Minister of Bharat is an ardent Swaymsevak (cadre)  of RSS, the RSS is now setting its strategy high for making a ‘param vaibhavshali rashtra’ (परं वैभवं नेतुमेतत् स्वराष्ट्रं), i.e most prosperous Nation-State in this Hindu Land (हिन्दुभूमे).

Hindu Rashtra within 2025In India, there are 672 districts, 4100 Taluks, and 256,000 village panchayats for about 638,000 villages. According to one estimate, India has 16lakh habitations spread mostly in these villages. The population of India is about 1.25billion. In terms of percentage, the RSS may be having a base of 5% of the population. It may be argued that the goal of RSS, which is about reaching to about 5% of the population, as set out during its formative years, as a completed task. But it is clear that rephrasing of the goal statement is long overdue.

But, there are currently about 45,000 shakhas in 29,600 places around the country. Weekly congregations are being held at 10,100 places while monthly congregations are being carried out at 7,400 places.

As a matter of fact, the shakhas (units/branches) of RSS has been declined, if it is compared with the period of NDA in 2004. The number of shakhas had increased to more than 51,000 in 2004, when the NDA was voted out of power. The number came down 39,000 in 2010 under the UPA regime. However, from 2011 to 2014, the number of shakhas rebounded.

In this critical juncture to spread over at least 200,000 village panchayats to earn a control over near about 600,000 villages in India with other areas of Metropolises and suburbs, RSS is thinking the Uttarakhand model of ‘Nav Srijan Shivir’ camps in every states to grow more influence in the mind of un-organised Hindus in various folds.

A RSS think-tank in New Delhi conveyed that the Mission of Hindu Rashtra, with its Hindu Constitution and Practical Hindu Empowerment, must be accomplished within 2025 in the centenary of RSS itself. RSS was founded in 1925 by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar with his wish to materialize his mission in his lifetime (याचि देही याचि डोळा). That was not fulfilled anyway. Now, crores of hard-core Swaysevaks will make a constitutional and practical Hindu Rashtra in Bharat within 2025, otherwise it will be too late to start another chapter for saving the Hindus from compete extinction.

Nepal forward marching again towards a Hindu State.

Posted by hinduexistence on November 7, 2014

Why no Hindu Rashtra (country) for 1 Billion Hindus in the world?

‘Mega campaign’ for ‘Hindu Rashtra’ in Nepal launched.

Nepal Hindu Rashtra Mega MeetingUpananda Brahmachari | HENB & Agencies | Kathmandu | 6 Nov 2014::   The Campaign for a Traditional Hindu Rashtra (State) is on to vibrate the present political texture in Nepal while the country is going to  adopt its new constitution within a deadline of January 22, 2015. On Thursday (06 Nov 2014) Nepali Congress leader Khum Bahadur Khadka, who is heading a campaign to make pressure for declaring Nepal a Hindu state, said that the country could witness a religious strife if the to be promulgated constitution fails to declare the country Sanatan Hindu State.

The programme was held under the banner  ‘Mega Campaign for Reinstating Hindu Nation with Religious Freedom’, at Nepal Academy here.

Although the country was a Hindu nation as per the 1990’s constitution, the country is now a secular state under the Interim Constitution of Nepal 2007.

Addressing a programme organised to launch what Khadka and his group are calling a ‘mega campaign’, Khadka said Nepal, being a Hindu dominated country, should be declared a Hindu state with equal rights for all faiths.

He said his party made a mistake by deciding to go for secularism which the party should correct now. The traditional (Sanatana) Hindu Rashtra is a part of Social life in Nepal.

Khadka said the campaign would lobby with political forces, particularly all wings of his own party, to go for Hindu state.

Nepali Congress leaders Taranath Ranabhat, Chiranjivi Wagle, Haribol Bhattarai, Pushpa Bhusal, Laxman Ghimire, Shankar Pandey, who support the campaign, were also present at the programme.

The Nepali Congress (NC) has opted for a wait-and-see approach on the campaign for reviving the country as a Hindu state launched by its Central Working Committee members.

A faction of the party led by leader Khum Bahadur Khadka is holding a national gathering of the NC leaders and cadres on Thursday in the Capital to put pressure on the political parties and Constituent Assembly to revive Nepal as a Hindu state. The party said has that its leaders and cadres are free to advocate for any religious ideology and the party will not interfere.

“Our party believes in religious freedom and we are against declaring the country a religious state. However, everyone is free to advocate for what they believe in,” said NC Spokesperson Dilendra Badu. Nepal, historically a Hindu state, was declared secular after Jana Andolan II in the Interim Constitution, 2007.

The campaigners have called on Mahasamiti members, district chairpersons, CWC members and party office bearers to attend the gathering to be held at the Academy Hall to their express solidarity for a Hindu state.

The NC, in its election manifesto, has clearly mentioned that the party believes in religious freedom and all that all religions haven an equal status in the society.

Addressing the ceremony, a majority of campaigners said revival of Nepal as a Hindu state would be a binding force among the Nepalis. The campaign was launched under the NC banner. Speakers spent most of their time attacking Christian preachers who “lured thousands of Nepalis with money into conversion”.

Citing that the Christian population in Nepal reached 1.4 percent in 2011 from 0.4 percent in 2001, they said it was possible to do that by spending hundreds of millions to buy poor Hindus and Buddhists.

“It’s part of religious imperialism of the Western world,” charged former NC Chief Whip Laxman Prasad Ghimire, co-coordinator of the campaign. While 81 countries in the world can be Christian states and 51 Muslim, he said, Nepal with three fourths Hindu believers could well be a Hindu state.

Stating that secularism was neither a part of the 12-point understanding nor the popular demand of the 2006 uprising, the NC leaders blamed it on the “conspiracy by the Christian world”.

Mitha Ram Bishwokarma, former parliamentarian, said even MPs were kept in the dark about the plan to declare secularism. Khadka said the protest would continue unless Hindu state is enshrined as an irrevocable clause of the constitution. He warned of protests from the first week of December if the parties did not address the demand.

A 25-member committee formed last week has been made 51-member and a 501-strong central mobilisation committee has been set up to take the programme across the country.

The committee was generated for the revival for Nepal as a “Nation, Nationality and Sanatan Hindu State”. Committee members include CWC member Pushpa Bhusal, former minister and chief whip Laxman Prasad Ghimire, former Speaker of the Parliament Taranath Ranabhat, lawmaker Suwarna Juwarchan and former ministers Chiranjivi Wagle and Devendra Raj Kandel.

According to Ghimire, who is also a joint coordinator of the committee, some 300 NC leaders and cadres are expected at the gathering to show unity in reviving the Hindu identity of the country. He also went on to claim that the NC never actually accepted secularism and that a large section of the party are positive on the revival plan.

The Khadka-led committee has also formed a religious squad, Dharma Rakshyak Gorakshya Sena, to assist in the nationwide campaign. The gathering will set a future course for the campaign, said Ghimire.

On May 18, 2006, former King Gyanendra Shah resurrected “dead” parliament that not only curtailed his power but also declared the country secular. After two years, the newly elected Constituent Assembly 28 May 2008 declared the country republic by sidelining the institution of Monarchy.

The legitimacy of the decision is still being questioned.

How can a parliament dissolved by an elected government be revived, ask critics, and while giving continuity to the unconstitutional decision not only the King’s power was curtailed but also an election to the constituent assembly was declared by the same parliament to finally do away with monarchy?

Khum-Bahadur-After-release

Nepal Congress leader Khum Bahadur Khadka with an aim to make a heavy pressure  for declaring Nepal again a  Hindu state.

Earlier, in Kathmandu, October 31, 2014 a meeting was held between the selected Nepali Congress leaders to form ‘Sanatan Hindu Rastra Revival Committee headed by Khum Bahadur Khadka as its president and its deputy as Laxman Ghimire and General Secretary Kumar Regmi.

Tara Nath Rana Bhat, Pushpa Bhusal, Devendra Kandel and Subarna Juharchan among others are the members of the committee.

Senior Journalist Dev Prakash Tripathi has been appointed as the committee’s spokesperson.

The Mega Hindu Rashtra Meeting including a Rally in Khathmandu on November 6, 2014 is obviously leading Nepal towards it virtual destination of Hindu Rashtra.

From a source it has been revealed that some Christian missionary elements prompted by European Union countries like Switzerland and Norway and ISI prompted by Pakistan and some other Jihadi and Communist elements are hatching a conspiracy to stop the march for a Hindu Rashtra in Nepal.

As the Hindu Monarchy in Nepal has always been playing an important role in the existence of Hindu Rashtra in Nepal, the Raja-Praja (King and Citizen) reunion and interactions are also being held in these days in Nepal.

The repeated visit of a Hard-liner Hindu Prime Minister of Bharat, Narendra Modi in Nepal is also significant in the advancement of Nepal again in a Hindu state.

Interestingly, there is no Hindu Rashtra (country) for 1 Billion Hindus in the world, while Christians have 157, Muslims have  52, Buddhists have 12 and even Jews have their own one country so far.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Hindu Existence Forum (HEF) in Bharat (India) are continuously supporting the Hindu activism in Nepal for the revival of Hindu Rashtra in Nepal within a very short span of time.

The former Union minister also suggested calling a meeting of Islamic clerics including from abroad and seek an endorsement and if it is not forthcoming then government should move an enabling bill in the Parliament and get it passed.

RSS says, all Indians are Hindus. But where is the real action plan for making a constitutionally valid Hindu Rashta (Nation-State) in Bharat?

Posted by hinduexistence on August 12, 2014

Indian descendants of Hindu culture. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat says all Hindustanis (Indians) are Hindus, triggers controversy.

BhagawatHE Media Bureau | Cuttack and New Delhi | 11 August 2014::  Again the issues related to Hindu, Hindutva and Hindu Rashtra (Nation-State)  have paced enough in the socio-political mind in ‘India, that is Bharat’ in order to highlight the pulsation of the majority people of the country better known as ‘Hindusthan’.

If inhabitants of England are English, Germany are Germans and USA are Americans then why all inhabitants of Hindustan are not known as Hindus, came a poser from Rashtriya Swamsevak Sangha (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday 10th August.

“The cultural identity of all Indians is Hindutva and the present inhabitants of the country are descendants of this great culture,” Bhagwat said while speaking at the ‘Golden Jubilee’ function of an Odiya weekly, “Rashtra Deep” here. Rashtra Deep is the most circulated Odiya weekly run by RSS activists and supporters.

The RSS chief further went on to say that Hindutva is a way of life and Hindus could be of any religion worshipping any God or not worshipping at all.

Referring to Vivekananda, Bhagwat said not worshipping any God is not necessarily an atheist rather the one who doesn’t have faith in self is sure an atheist.

He said the world has now realised that Hindutva has been the only basis to keep India united since ancient days despite having plenty of diversities.

He, however, expressed concern saying that some in India are not realising it and whenever a discussion on it takes place, the protagonist are wrongly branded as communal.

Speaking on the current world scenario, the RSS leader said there is darkness everywhere and the world at large is looking at India for solace because India still marches on the path of righteousness.

“As long as dharma exists in India, the world will continue to respect this country. But once dharma is gone, no force on earth can stop the country from crumbling,” the RSS leader warned.

On Monday, 11 August,  RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Monday received flak from non-BJP parties for his suggestion that all Hindustanis are Hindus with many leaders wondering if he has read the Constitution and really believes in it.

Congress leader Manish Tewari said Bhagwat would be well-advised to read the Constitution which very specifically states that India is Bharat, a union of state, and the word “Hindustan” is nowhere mentioned.

Sitaram Yechury of CPI(M) said Bhagwat should make it clear if he believes in Constitution.

“He should make it clear if he believes in it. In our Constitution, the country is Bharat not Hindustan,” he told reporters.

JD(U) President Sharad Yadav said India has come so far since Independence by keeping its faith in the Constitution and its future lies in following the same course.

BSP Chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati while slamming Bhagwat said he does not have “proper knowledge” of the Constitution.

“When Ambedkar ji (Bhimrao Ambedkar) wrote the Constitution he kept in mind that our country comprises various religions and people follow them. So the name Bharat was given, the word Hindustan was not used. The RSS chief does not have proper knowledge of the Constitution. He should learn that and then comment,” she said.

Father Savrimuthu of Archdiocese of Delhi expressed concern over Bhagwat’s comments, saying India is a pluralistic country but the RSS head has tried to put everybody under one umbrella.

“Our nation is great and known for unity and diversity… Now you (RSS) are trying to make one nation, one religion, one culture, trying to put everybody under one umbrella which is not right,” he said.

Seeking to downplay the row over Bhagwat’s comments, BJP leader Vinay katiyar said, “what he (Bhagwat) mneant by ‘Hindu’ was ‘Hindustani’. He never spoke about interfering in religious practices of people.”

Bhagwat on Sunday asked if inhabitants of England are English, Germany are Germans and USA are Americans then why all inhabitants of Hindustan are not known as Hindus.

“The cultural identity of all Indians is Hindutva and the present inhabitants of the country are descendants of this great culture,” Bhagwat said while speaking at the ‘Golden Jubilee’ function of an Odiya weekly in Bhubaneswar.

The RSS chief further went on to say that Hindutva is a way of life and Hindus could be of any religion worshiping any God or not worshiping at all.

UpanandaOur Delhi Bureau chief Angnesh Tripathi have captured the opinion of  Upananda Brahmachari, Chief Editor, Hindu Existence on the current issue that ‘all the inhabitants of Hindusthan (Bharat- India) are virtually Hindus’. The points of importance are given below.

(i) The matters related to Hindu, Hindutva and Hindu Rashtra should not be the points of mere discussions or debates. RSS has been successfully campaigned the matters enough since 1925, the Establishment of the largest organisation in Bharat. Now, the organisation must take concrete action to make 100% Hindu, Hindutva and Hindu Rashtra in Bharat within 2025, within 100 years of its establishment.

(ii) The traditional and cultural concept of Hindutva and Hindu Rashtra as endorsed by RSS is not objectionable, but unless RSS takes initiatives to make Bharat as a constitutionally and internationally valid Hindu Rashtra here, nobody will get a scope to speak a single word for Hindutva or Hindu Rashtra after 2025. Keep it mind that 2025 is the deadline for a viable Hindu Rashtra in Bharat.

(iii) Those name sake Hindus like Sitaram Yechury, Manish Tewari or Mayawati are barking against Hindutva, have no knowledge about Hindu, Hindutva or Hindu Rashtra. They are all anti-Hindu or their vested interest of politics. People of India are interested to all about Hindutva from Chatrapati Shivaji down to the legacy of  Swami Vivekananda, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Sri Aurovinda, Rabindramath Thakur, Dr. Hedgewad, Savarkar and so on. They all champion of Hindutva and their ideology of Hindutva is still relevant in Bharat, not of these secular maroons like Sitaram Yechury, Manish Tewari or Mayawati.

(iv) Those who are talking about constitution should keep in mind that History of this ancient country of Dharma and Manavata (Rightouness and Humanity) cannot be replaced by any recent constitution. Recently, this country was divided at the time of Independence in 1947 on the basis of ‘Two Nation Theory’. These two nations are, Hindus and Muslims. Muslims got their portion of Pakistan as Muslim Nation and Muslim State. But, Hindus still awaiting their portion as constitutionally and internationally valid Hindu Nation-State  in Bharat. This disparity must go without any debate.

(v) Hindus in Bharat must start a new struggle for getting a constitutionally and internationally valid Hindu Rashtra (Nation-State) in this holy land of Hindus as a natural demand for a single Hindu Rashtra for more than one billion Hindu people on this earth. Henceforth, Hindutva must be an action plan for making a practical Hindu Rashtra than a theoretical points of discussion anymore. There is no doubt that Hindu is a way of life, but it is more important to make a space of Hindu Rashtra to ensure the survival of this way of life. This is practical Hindutva.

Gita ‘the way of life’ must be taught from primary level of school education: SC judge.

If I were dictator, would have made Gita compulsory in Class I: SC judge

Gita: The Light of Spirit & The Spirit of Light in both ways.

Gita: The Light of Spirit & The Spirit of Light in both ways.

Express News Service | Ahmedabad | August 3, 2014:: Supreme Court judge Justice Anil R Dave Saturday said that had he been a dictator, he would have made the Gita and the Mahabharata compulsory in Class I in schools.

Speaking as the chief guest at a conference on ‘contemporary issues and challenges of human rights in the era of globalisation’ at Gujarat University’s convention hall, Justice Dave said, “Had I been the dictator of India, I would have introduced Gita and Mahabharata in Class I. That is the way you learn how to live life. I am sorry if somebody says I am secular or I am not secular. But we have to get good things from everywhere.”

“Our old tradition such as guru-shishya parampara (teacher-student tradition) is lost; if it had been there, we would not have had all these problems in our country,” he said, referring to the problem of violence and terrorism.

“Now we see terrorism in countries. Most of the countries are democratic. If everybody in a democratic country is good, then they would naturally elect somebody who is very good. And that person will never think of damaging anybody else,” he said as he recited the famous Sanskrit saying: “Yatha raja tatha praja (The subject reflects the king).”

At the conference, organised by the Gujarat Law Society, Justice Dave recited several verses from the Gita and other ancient scriptures, and added that a balance needs to be struck while dealing with violence and issues of human rights.

“We would never violate any person’s right if we stick to our ancient scriptures,” Justice Dave said. Other speakers at the conference included justice (retired) C K Thakkar and Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Mohit Shah.

Darshan Desai | Daily Mail | New Delhi |  August 2, 2014:: Justice A.R. Dave of the Supreme Court on Saturday sparked a controversy after asserting that he wished the Bhagwad Gita and the Mahabharata were taught from Class I onwards in India.

“Somebody who is very secular, [rather] so-called secular, will not agree. Had I been the dictator of India, I would have introduced the Gita and the Mahabharata in Class I. That is the way you learn how to live life,” Justice Dave said.

Addressing an international conference on ‘Contemporary Issues and Challenges of Human Rights in the Era of Globalisation’ organised by the Gujarat Law Society in Ahmedabad, Dave said Indians should return to ancient traditions.

“Our old tradition like guru-shishya parampara (teacher-student tradition) is lost. If it had been there, we would not have had all these problems [of violence and terrorism] in our country,” Dave said.

“Now we see terrorism in countries. By bringing [out] all the good things in every human, we can stop violence everywhere. And for that purpose, we have to revert to our own things [traditions and scriptures] again,” he added.

Meanwhile, Bombay High Court Chief Justice Mohit Shah, who was also one of the speakers, said that “development for all” should be the core value behind globalisation”.

Justice Mohit Shah said: “The concept of global village should not mean that everybody is just thinking about the world, but it should also be about expanding functions of development for all.

HOW TO MAKE A DHARMA RASHTRA:  The importance of the teaching of Shrimadbhagavad Gita is immense as indicated by Sri A.R. Dave, an eminent justice of the Supreme Court of India. It adores the highest truth and his intention to spread the Dharma Sikshan in the basic level is most welcome.  Gita imparts us the making of individual as well the Nation as a whole. It teaches us the duties upon us and how to render it flawlessly. And these direction is supreme as Gita is propounded the supreme soul Shri Krishna Himself.

There are two specific duty bound works as exhorted by Sri Bhagawan to establish a Dharma Rashtra. Nothing more than that. Think whenever we fall in the series of critical situation, His suggestion is only two to do. No. 1: Paritranay Sadhunam, means to rescue the righteous persons. The part of cultivation of Dharma, Shastra and the Dharmiks. It sustains the Brahmatejas and ‘Divinity already in Man’. and No. 2: Vinashay ca Duskrutam, means destroy all the evils from the root. Keep in mind, not only destroy, but destroy from the root of all evil forces against Dharma. It sustains the Khstratejas in oneself. To encourage and fight on the strength of Warrior Spirit.

If we do only these Two Works assigned by the Jagadguru (Krusnam Vande Jagadhurum!) Sri Bhagawan, the Dharma Rashtra, i.e. Hindu Rashtra will be automatically established very soon (within 2025).

The reasonable combination or the Synthesis of Brahmatejas and Khstratejas is the only way of emancipation. We must remember the last shloka of Srimad Bhagabadgita. It is “Yatra Yogesvarah Krsno Yatra Partho Dhanur-dharah | Tatra Shrir Vijayo Bhutir Dhruva Nitir Matir Mama ||” ~ means, Wherever there is Krsna, the master mentor of all mystic yogic knowledge, and wherever there is Arjuna, the great warrior and the supreme archer, there will also certainly be opulence, victory, extraordinary power, and morality. That is my opinion.

Yes, my opinion of emancipation lies in the Establishment of Hindu Rashtra in Bharat within 2025. Plz do this Sadhana. Jayatu Jayatu Hindu Rashtram. ~ Upananda Brahmachari.

As India is already a Hindu Nation, Make it constitutionally and internationally valid Hindu State.

Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan

India is already a Hindu nation, I am a Christian Hindu: Goa’s deputy chief minister.

OMGHindu Existence Media Bureau | Panaji | 25 July 2014:: As an out come of Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan held at Ramnathi, Goa in June last under the initiative of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and obviously  as a resultant of Alternative Hindutva Movement initiated by small Hindu Orgs. without any affiliation from their big brothers, the demand of a Hindu State in Bharat is being surfaced in India gradually. And it has been triggered from Goa in the political arena.

Cooperation Minister of Goa, Dipak Dhavalikar on Thursday (24 July 2014)  appeared eloquent by  saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi will develop India into a Hindu nation.

“I am confident that under the leadership of Modiji, India will develop into a Hindu nation. PM will work in this regard is what I feel,” he said while speaking in the state assembly on a motion congratulating Modi on Bharatiya Janata Party’s electoral victory.

While Congress, the opposition in Goa wanted to condemn the matter on Friday in the Assembly, Deputy chief minister, Francis D’Souza said, “India is already a Hindu nation and all Indians in Hindustan are Hindus”.

As a reaction  Congress staged walkout in Goa assembly over ‘Hindu Rashtra’ remark on Friday.

Defending the comments of his cabinet colleague Deepak Dhavalikar who said that Modi could make the country a ‘Hindu nation’, Francis D’Souza told reporters: “It was always a Hindu nation and will always be a Hindu nation. You don’t have to create a Hindu nation.”

D’Souza, one of the most senior minority members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Goa, said that he considered himself a “Christian Hindu”.

“India is a Hindu country. It is Hindustan. All Indians in Hindustan are Hindus, including I — I am a Christian Hindu,” D’Souza said.

Dhavalikar triggered a national controversy on Thursday while speaking during a motion congratulating Narendra Modi on becoming Prime Minister.

Jayatu Jayatu Hindu Rashtram“If we all support it and we stand by Narendra Modi systematically, then I feel a Hindu Rashtra will be established,” Dhavalikar had said.

But, D’Souza insisted that Dhavalikar had no “clarity in his mind” because India was already a Hindu nation. And D’Souza tried a click to over rule the establishment of a Constitutionally recognized Hindu Rashtra in Bharat by saying,”You don’t have to create a Hindu nation”.

While connected our chief editor, Upananda Brahmachari in Delhi to have his viewpoint, he remarked that the “Hinduness of Mr D’Souza is most welcome. He is a Nationalist person in BJP, but he must look into the demand of  one billion Hindus for a ‘constitutionally recognized’ Hindu Rashtra (Nation-State) in Bharat”.

“There are recognized 100+ Christian States; 50+ Islamic States; 10+ Buddhist States and even reasonably One Jew state in this world; then why not a single recognized Hindu State in this earth? Unless and until India is not considered Constitutionally as a Hindu Rashtra and be recognized by UN and Other Nations, what is the utility of this big talk of ‘India is already a Hindu nation’ etc?”, said Brahmachari from Delhi.

Further he told this reporter that, in a Hindu Rashtra rights and honor of every body will be safe. But, there will be not a single case of unjustified humiliation of Hindu saints, Hindu Temple, Hindu scripture. There will be no poverty, no riot, no cow slaughter and not a single conversion.

Practically India was cheated in the division of India on Two Nation (Hindu-Muslim) Theory. Muslims got Pakistan as an ultimate Muslim State, then why Bharat was not declared as a Virtual Hindu State?, Brahmachari put this point very emphatically.

Brahmachari justified the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra as demanded by the minister of Goa, Deepak Dhavalikar and urged everybody concerned including the Deputy CM of Goa to make a high pitch to establish a real Hindu Rashtra (Nation-state)  in Bharat. He furrther added that “Hindus must start a fresh struggle and freedom movement  for a Hindu Rashtra in Bharat setting aside all secular and communal menace. And a highest sacrifice is needed for this divine duty for our Mother Land”.

Brahmachari categorically pointed out: As India is already a Hindu nation,  now make it constitutionally and internationally valid Hindu Rashtra.

In search of continuous Hindu Civilization through Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Mahabharat historian gets research reins

Ramayana - MahabharataBASANT KUMAR MOHANTY | The Telegraph | New Delhi, July 2, 2014::  A retired history professor who has written articles arguing that stories from the Ramayana and the Mahabharat are truthful accounts of events that took place has been named chief of the ICHR, the government agency to promote historical research.

Yellapragada Sudershan Rao, whose interests include Vedic literature, Sanatana Dharma and Bharatiya Sanskriti, set the tone for his three-year tenure after taking charge on Saturday.

Under his leadership, the Indian Council of Historical Research, he told The Telegraph, should take up projects to rewrite ancient history to establish the “continuous Indian civilisation”, including the period of the two epics.

“The stories of the Ramayan and the Mahabharat cannot be termed a-historical just because there is not enough archaeological hard evidence. Excavations cannot be done in many places since people are living there and you cannot evict them,” Rao said from Warangal, Telangana.

Rao, who taught history at Warangal’s Kakatiya University, has written several articles seeking to establish that stories of the Puranas and particularly the Ramayan and theMahabharat are truthful accounts of historical events.

“A lot of historical material has come through cultural, anthropological, archaeological and ethnographic studies in the last 60 years about the continuous Indian civilisation. The findings can be compiled by researchers. I think the ICHR should support historians interested in doing work on these aspects,” he said.

Rao, a member of the ICHR council when the previous NDA government was in power at the Centre, said studies might be conducted to understand the social system and cultural values during the period of the two epics. He also said archaeological evidence suggesting early habitation in Ayodhya could be traced back to the 8th century BC.

The latest excavations conducted after a court directive at the Ramjanmabhoomi site some years ago did reveal ruins of a basement of a big-columned monument on which the Babri mosque was built. Stone pillars and door-jambs with Hindu motifs used in the construction of the mosque were also found, as were images of Hindu deities below the ground at the disputed site.

Asked what the solution to the dispute should be, Rao said: “Historians need not give any solution. Historians present historical materials and the government has to take the decision.”

Rao said the ICHR had, over the last two decades, mainly focused its research projects on the modern and the colonial period. Before 1990, however, when R.S. Sharma and Irfan Habib were chairpersons, the council had undertaken several projects on early history.

“Even during R.S. Sharma’s tenure, they were using Marxist tools. Cultural aspects were not given attention. History should be comprehensive, not driven by any political thought,” Rao said.

By Marxist tools, Rao said, he meant studies entirely focused on the analysis of economic and material aspects, not culture, art or religion.

The new ICHR chief said a lot of archaeological material and literature were stored in archives in other countries and the agency should take the initiative to get at least copies of such works.Rao said he has not been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh but loves the country and nationalist ideas. “I love the country and the culture. As a historian, I feel that history should tell people about their culture and civilisation.”

After taking over, Rao put out a message on the ICHR website where he conveyed “deep gratitude” to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and human resource development minister Smriti Irani for choosing him for the position.  [Courtesy: The Telegraph Kolkata].

Third Great Hindu Rashtra Adiveshan (20th June to 26th June, 2014) is on at Goa with great might.

Posted by hinduexistence on June 22, 2014

Dedicate yourself for establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ ! : His Holiness Dr. Athavale.

Dr J V A

His Holiness Dr Jayant Balaji Athavale.

Ramnathi | Ponda | Goa | 20 June 2014:: Yadnya (Sacrificial fire) has a unique significance in Sanatan Vedic Dharma. It is said, ‘अग्निमुखा वै देवाः । (Agnimukha vai Devaha |)’, which means – ‘Yadnya is the mouth of the Deities’. Performing Yadnya amounts to offering food in the form of samidha (Firewood) to the mouths of the Deities. The Dharmayadnya of establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ has been lit through the medium of the ‘All India Hindu Convention’. This Yadnya needs samidha which are ready to sacrifice themselves to serve the cause of Dharma. Complete sacrifice in a Yadnya is the only life-purpose of samidha. Similarly, complete sacrifice to serve the cause of establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ should be the only life-purpose of those who are passionate about establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’.

Mere representations will not help the cause of establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’. It is only after a Dharmakranti that we will be able to establish the ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Therefore, this Convention is not for mere spectators. This is for active warriors of Dharma who have the tenacity to achieve the aim of establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Do not ever think, ‘What can a handful achieve ?’ Remember, it is just a handful of people who were ever-prepared to sacrifice their body, mind, wealth and life for this Nation that changed the course of history.

That the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ will be established in Bharat by the year 2023 is certain. If we dedicate ourselves to this Yadnya of reinstating Dharma with an attitude that, ‘I am a samidha in the Yadnya’, it will spiritually uplift all those who are working to serve the cause of the ‘Hindu Rashtra’.

- Dr Jayant Balaji Athavale, Source of Inspiration, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Have faith that in 2025, Hindu Rashtra will be established ! – Shri Upananda Brahmachari.

UbrRamnathi | Ponda | Goa | 20 June 2014:: Shri. Upanand Brahmachari, Editor, Hindu Existence, Bengal said, “Rashtreeya Hindu Andolan (RHA) is a big step. RSS has also been making efforts for establishment of Hindu Rashtra; but if we ask them that when such Hindu Rashtra would be established, they do not have a firm answer; but HJS and Sanatan Sanstha have not only kept establishment of Hindu Rashtra as their goal but they are also sure about its accomplishment by the year 2025.”

He further stated that Our rulers tried to destroy spirituality from our country by implementing Macaulay’s education system. As a result, Hindus drifted away from abiding by their Dharma and became weak. 5 crores Bangla Deshi Muslims are today exploiting Hindus financially with political support; therefore, Hindus need to be strong not only politically and socially; but also financially. Today, many problems are faced by Hindus and many pro-Hindu organizations are independently fighting for their cause. Their aim is the same; but if all come together and strive hard; the goal may be achieved quickly and in this background, efforts of Rashtreeya Hindu Andolan are commendable. There were many problems even during Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s period. He did not think of making independent attempts; but he thought about establishment of Hindu Rashtra, he did it and all problems were solved. As one ray of light dispels all darkness; everyone should have faith that Hindu Rashtra would come into being in 2025.

When Hindus will learn to retaliate, there will be undivided Hindu Rashtra ! – Shri Upanand Brahmachari.

Ramnathi | Ponda | Goa | 26 June 2014:: We can send study team to Bangladesh that can check the condition of Hindus from there and visit can be arranged with Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, to whom a report on such study can be submitted. We need to keep a watch on what is happening to Hindus. Hindus from all places should be safe. Study should be undertaken even to see the position of Hindus from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal. If Hindus get ready to retaliate, we can bring them together from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and Afghanistan even in such difficult condition; but for that, all of us need to take initiative.
