Muslim village head builds a Shiva-Hanumanji temple in Mathura district.

PTI | MATHURA | 9 MARCH 2015:: In a shining example of communal harmony, a Muslim village head has constructed a temple in Sahaar village of the district. The construction of the temple started about eight months ago and religious ceremony related to opening of the temple was performed yesterday. “Pran Pratishtha (religious ceremony) of deity Shiv Ji and Hanuman Ji was performed amidst chanting of Vedic hymns on Sunday,” Ajmal Ali Sheikh, the Sahaar village head who has constructed the temple said today.

“Few rooms adjacent to temple for the use of priest and other visitors would be constructed shortly,” Sheikh said, claiming that he had spent over four lakhs from his pocket for the construction. He said that he was feeling the need of a temple in Nagla Gajai area of the Sahar village since long. “It grew more last year when I saw ladies coming to village Sahaar on the occasion of Shiv Ratri to pay their obeisance to deity, after travelling about four kilometers , Sheikh stated.

Congratulating Shiekh for constructing the temple, former UP minister Laxhmi Narayan Choudhary said, “This is a commendable work and it will certainly bring both the communities together.” Choudhary has represented the Chhatta assembly constituency three times earlier. The harmony between both the communities is an example for others, villagers said.

The commendable work of Ajmal Ali Sheikh is being lauded by villagers of not only Nagla Gajai area but also by neighbouring villages also. “It is real work in the direction of bringing both the communities closer,” Zahid Ali of neighbouring Dautana village said.

नवभारतटाइम्स.कॉम | मथुरा | ९ मार्च २०१५:: बीते साल दंगों की आग में झुलस रहे उत्तर प्रदेश से अब हिंदू-मुस्लिम भाईचारे को बढ़ाने वाली खबर आई है।धर्मनगरी मथुरा में सांप्रदायिक सौहार्द का एक शानदार उदाहरण पेश करते हुए एक मुस्लिम ग्राम प्रधान ने मंदिर का निर्माण कराया है। मंदिर जिले के सहार गांव में बनवाया गया है। इस मंदिर का निर्माण लगभग आठ महीने पहले शुरू हुआ था और रविवार को मंदिर में धार्मिक अनुष्ठान कर इसका शुभारंभ किया गया। मंदिर का निर्माण कराने वाले सहार गांव के प्रधान अजमल अली शेख ने सोमवार को बताया, ‘रविवार को वैदिक मंत्रोच्चार के साथ भगवान शिवजी और हनुमानजी की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा की गई।’

मंदिर का निर्माण कराने वाले ग्राम प्रधान शेख ने बताया कि उन्हें लंबे समय से नागला गजई इलाके के सहार गांव में एक मंदिर की कमी खलती थी, लोगों को चार किलोमीटर चलकर पास के गांव में पूजा करने के लिए जाना पड़ता है। पिछले साल जब शिवरात्रि के दिन महिलाएं कई किलोमीटर चलकर पूजा करने के लिए पड़ोस के गांव गईं, उसी दिन उन्होंने मंदिर बनवाने का फैसला कर लिया। शेख ने बताया, ‘जल्द ही पुजारी और बाकी आने वाले लोगों के इस्तेमाल के लिए मंदिर के पास कुछ कमरे बनाए जाएंगे।’ उन्होंने दावा किया कि मंदिर निर्माण के लिए उन्होंने अपनी जेब से चार लाख से ज्यादा रुपए की राशि खर्च की है।
