Pro Hindu ABVP wins all main four seats in Delhi University Student Union elections.

IANS | New Delhi | Sept 12, 2015:: The ABVP, the students wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), on Saturday won all four seats as counting ended of the votes cast in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was ahead in all four seats after the first round of counting.

Satinder Awana, Sunny Dedha, Anjali Rana and Chhattarpal Yadav, the ABVP candidates, won the posts of president, vice president, secretary and joint secretary.

The elections on Friday witnessed a 43.3 percent turnout, a slight dip from last year’s 44 percent.

A total of 35 candidates were in the fray but the main fight is between the Congress-affiliated National Students Union of India (NSUI) and the AAP’s students wing, Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS).
