Blueprint for Ram Temple to be released in January?

swamy-jai-sri-ramZee Media Bureau | New Delhi | Dec 30, 2015:: With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in power, it is difficult to keep Ram Temple out of national politics.

Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge) Mahesh Sharma on Tuesday added to the ongoing debate on Ram Temple and said that his party and the central government have already given their opinion on the issue that people of the country want the temple to be constructed as soon as possible.

Sharma, however, added that the BJP will abide by the Supreme Court order in the matter.

“We want Ram Mandir to be constructed, but we will be abiding by the order of the Supreme Court or will try to reach a mutual consent to construct the temple. That is why it’s taking time,” he said.

Lending support to the Culture Minister, senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy tweeted on Wednesday that the blueprint for the Ram Temple will be released in January 2016.

    Ram temple should become a reality–it is a question of national identity and sense of belonging for all Indians. Can anyone deny that we have a shared civilizational history of thousands of years, irrespective of which religion or country they belong to now? The predominant religion of a country is called as a nation belonging to that religion–Israel for Jews, Saudi Arabia and entire West Asia is Islamic, Europe is Christian. But in India, where 80 percent are Hindus, we live in ridiculous fear of religious minorities. Muslims have Mecca and Medina, Jews have their own religious centre, but with Hindus, the Ram temple of Ayodhya is destroyed, mosques abut Marhura. a most sacred place for Hindus, and Muslims are up in arms against Hindus for asking for a space to rebuild the Ram temple destroyed by marauding Mughals. Unless we raise our voices against such injustice, in unison, and act and think as one–Hindus–we will not only remain third class citizens in our own motherland, but we will once again become victims of Muslim violence.
