Bharat Sevashram Sangha expels Imam Barkati from its Centenary programme under strong Hindu resentment.

Ousting Nurar Rehman Barkati, the Infamous Tipu Sultan Mosque Imam from Bharat Sevashram Sangha Centenary Programme in Netaji Indoor Statidum, Kolkata; Sangha Sannyasins reiterate “Practical Hindutva”.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | Kolkata | January 28, 2016:: It’s again a joyous and agile mood among the hundreds and thousand of devotees and supporters of Bharat Sevashram Sangha to hear the news of ousting Nurar Rehman Barkati, the infamous and most communal Imam of Tipu Sultan Mosque from Bharat Sevashram Sangha Centenary Inauguration Programme in Netaji Indoor Statidum, Kolkata to be held on 30 January, 2016. 

When the news of inclusion of Barkati in the Netaji Indoor programme of BSS was first published in Hindu Existence, afterwards in Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Site and finally telecast in Hindu Varta, a massive repercussion was perceived accumulating a severe  protest against Barkati’s unholy presence in the Sangha programme.

Hundreds of calls reached to HENB (and perhaps to the BSS HQ in 211 Rashbehari Avenue, Kolkata- 700 019) to take necessary action to expel Barkati like communal personality from such a great Centenary programme of world reputed Bharat Sevashram Sangha under some crazy political compulsion put outside from the Sangha on it. Flood gates of phone calls were opened to HENB as reaching from Gangasagar to Darjeeling; from Kolkata (including 6, Muralidhar Sen Lane, Kol – 700 073) to Delhi (including 38, Ashoka Rd, ND –  110001).

Now, it’s a pleasant moment for all including them  who even planned a severe protest in the BSS programme of  January 30 in Netaji Indoor Statdium, in presence of state Chief Minister, Smt. Mamata Banerjee, who would be there as the Chief Guest in the august programme .

The newly served invitation letter of Sangha reflects that Mr Shajahan Khan, Hon’ble Shipping Minister of Bangladesh will be the Guest of Honor as earlier. The new inclusions are Mr. Altamas Kabir, Hon’ble Ex. CJI and Mr. Somenath Chaterjee, Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha along with  Rev. Swami Suhitananda of RKM, Belur Math and Justice Chittatosh Mukherjee as fixed earlier. Smt. Mamata Bandopadhyay, the CM of West Bengal will adorn as the Chief guest of the function.

It is notable that the Sangha opposed the communalism in fact not the Muslims as the two distinguished guests in the programme viz. Hon’ble Shipping Minister of Bangladesh and Hon’ble Ex. Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India both belong to Muslim community.
