Centre agrees to set up Sanskrit University in Deoghar, Jharkhand.

Devghar Sanskrit UniversityHENB | New Delhi and Ranchi | February 6, 2016:: The Central Govrnment of India has agreed to Jharkhand’s proposal to set up a Sanskrit University in the state’s Deoghar district.

The approval came during a meeting between Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani in New Delhi, an official release said here in Delhi.

The high level meeting at Shastri Bhavan in New Delhi was attended by Central HRD Minister, Jharkhand CM, Jharkhand higher and technical education minister, Union HRD secretary and senior officials from the Centre as well as the state.

The meeting approved various important proposals related to educational reforms in the state.

Centre assured the state of all possible assistance for improving the education standard in Jharkhand. After his meeting with Union HRD minister, Das said that the meeting was highly satisfactory as Jharkhand received many benefits, including formation of Sanskrit University in Deoghar as well as commencing IIT classes from this session itself at ISM Dhanbad.

Jharkhand education minister Neera Yadav convey her satisfaction for the approval of a long urged Sanskrit University in Deoghar.

Deoghar and its nearest vicinity have various Muth, Ashrams and Gurukuls dealing with education on Sanskrit based philosophy, literature,  linguistics and philology.

    Good Decision:- Invaders robbed India of its Financial as well as Religious knowledge Wealth by imposing their own language and philosophy over us. By imposing their own language they succeeded in disconnected us from our Heritage of Vedas and all other great work written in Sanskrit. Since we can’t read read and write the language of our forefather’s the Sanskrit our connection with our great philosophy snapped. It is a right step into right direction (However it is too late) to let the Indian learn the language of their forefather’s to look into what great knowledge they left for us. It is worth to mention that the German’s translated most of our books from India and Nepal written in Sanskrit into German language and profiting from it.

    It is worth to mention here that the all the sculptures must be translated into Hindi by scholars and incorporated into Educational System as one of the compulsory subject to educate our coming generations so they understand who we are where we have to be tomorrow.

      Even though it is too late, it is most welcome and will help in preserving our heritage, ancient wisdom which has been recognised in Germany, US and other western countries but “suppressed” in our own country.
