Shun violent politics at Kerala, says BJP State President Kummanam.

T Pratheesh | HENB | Thrissur | May 24, 2016:: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan on Monday said the CPM should shun anti-Hindu politics of violence in the state. The RSS and BJP caders are being targeted fatally in the post election violence led by the ruling LDF. Speaking at a press meet here, he said the CPM move to deny organisational freedom and right to work in public sphere for the rivals cannot be justified. He said the latest bout of violence soon after the party came to power shows the ideological decay being faced by the cadre party.

In reply to a question on the accusation of CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan that the BJP was fomenting trouble in the state, he said he was ready to visit the violence-hit areas in the state, along with his counterpart in the CPM, to take stock of the situation. He dared CPM state secretary whether he was ready to visit the villages and collect details of party workers and innocent families who were attacked. Though the CPM came to power, the party knows that it was the BJP that emerged as the real winner in the race by securing over 30 lakhs votes. This fact is worrying for the CPM and it has resorted to violence to stymie the growth of the BJP.

The Communists have initiated their innings of violence from day one following their victory in the state Assembly elections of 2016. The BJP worker who sustained grievous wounds inflicted by Marxist marauders, had succumbed to his injuries. 33 year old  Pramod was brutally attacked in the Marxist sponsored strife in Kayappamangalam, following victory of the local LDF candidate. He was undergoing treatment. The state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party had called for a dawn to dusk hartal in Thrissur district on May 21, as a protest of Pramod’s murder. Pramod was also attached to RSS.

According to eye witnesses, following the victory of Kaippamagalam LDF candidate ET Tyson, gang of Marxist goons unleashed terror on a group of BJP Karyakartas, under the guise of victory celebrations. “The gang arrived in a tipper lorry and started bashing up Pramod and others who were with him. Pramod was bludgeoned with bricks, which led to head injury,” said eye witnesses under condition of anonymity.

Pramod was rushed to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
