Amazon Ca still sells Lotus Ganesha Doormat online nullifying Hindus’ urge to apologize & remove doormats with images of Hindu gods.

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | June 5, 2016:: Upset Hindus had urged world’s largest online retailer Amazon.com for the immediate withdrawal of doormats carrying the images of various Hindu deities-temples-saint and sold on Amazon website, calling it highly inappropriate.

Consequent upon the Hindu protest the Amazon authority has removed the product details from some of their connected links as http://www.amazon.com/Ganesha-Door-Non-Slip-Washable-Mat/dp/B010BTE9OC or https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yestore-Ganesha-Non-woven-Multifuntional-Doormat/dp/B00PJT2LKO , but the same objectionable sale is going on  its Canada chapter through https://www.amazon.ca/Fashion-Machine-washable-Outdoor-Doormat-Ganesha/dp/B0167YEX96 . Such standards of Amazon to humiliate Hindu sentiments are highly objectionable and this may create severe Hindu repercussion in its India HO at Brigade Gateway,8th floor, 26/1, Dr. Rajkumar Road, Malleshwaram(W), Bangalore-560055, India and its any franchises spread all over India.

As per HJS report, distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada today, said that it was shocking to visualize that Amazon.com, for its mercantile greed, apparently persuading the world to scrub/wipe the soles of their shoes before entering a building on the faces of gods which Hindus worshipped.

Images of Hindu gods depicted on the doormats sold at Amazon.com website—Shiva, Vishnu, Krishna, Ganesha, Venkateswara,Saraswati, Murugan, Durga-Hanuman, Padmanabha—were highly revered in Hinduism and were meant to be worshipped in temples or home shrines; and not for absorbing “water and dirt from shoes” or for sweeping on for cleaning or for drying wet feet and grabbing “dirt, dust and grime”. Inappropriate usage of Hindu deities or concepts for commercial or other agenda was not okay as it hurt the devotees, Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, noted.

Rajan Zed also urged Amazon.com and its President Jeffrey P. Bezos to offer a formal apology, besides withdrawing about 67 objectionable doormats.

Interestingly, when the current sale of Lotus Ganesha Doormat is mentioned a time period of June 30 – July 19 in Amazon dot Com, the sale of same product in Canada is running since October, 2015.

Unfortunately, the bigmouth BJP and Sangha Parivar advocating Swadeshi, Make-in-India etc, have no concern about the huge business by MNCs like Amazon selling foreign products online even humiliating Hindu faith, tradition and culture at random.

Through this report, the Hindu Existence Forum is to appeal and alert Amazon India and International both drawing their attention of Amazon Global President Mr. Jeffrey P. Bezos and Mr. Amit Agarwal (VP & Country head, India Amazon) to take necessary action to withdraw selling goods and to remove its all advertisement etc. henceforth, which are causing humiliation of Hindu sentiments.

Ignoring our appeal and alert for “not to hurt Hindu sentiments”, will cause a total boycott of Amazon online shopping in India with other consequences unknown to us.
