Ashika Santra | HENB | New Delhi | July 3, 2016:: The uprooted Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen has claimed that all terrorists involved in the recent attack at Dhaka restaurant, in which 20 people were killed, all came out from elite educational institutions and belonged to rich families. Consequently, she rubbished the arguments that poverty makes somebody a terrorist.
The renowned Bangladeshi author and former physician Taslima left Bangladesh and has lived in exile in India since 1994. The Islamist in Bangladesh issued a fatwa of beheadment for the alleged blasphemy committed through her writings.
She also said it’s time people should stop saying Islam is a religion of peace anymore.
A long trail of tweets came to her twitter handle @taslimanasreen as below:
All Dhaka terrorists were from rich families, studied in elite schools. Pl do not say poverty & illiteracy make people Islamic terrorists

For humanity’s sake please do not say Islam is a religion of peace. Not anymore.

You don’t need poverty, illiteracy, frustration,America’s foreign policy,Israel’s conspiracy to become an Islamic terrorist. You need Islam.

Taslima holds strong feminist and human rights views and has not been able to return to Bangladesh, her native country that she left in 1994. The author has received death threats from extremist groups linked to al-Qaeda and other Islamist faction in multiple times.
In a tweet, Taslima clearly mentioned the role of Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hassina for this cropping up of Jihadi Situation in Bangladesh. She tweeted, “Hasina Protected the zealots”.
This tweet is obviously connected with a killed Jihadi in Gulshan Cafe attack, named Rohan Imtiaz who was a son of a influential ruling Awami League leader in Dhaka named Imtiaz Khan Babul. The details of it can be obtained from a lead news as, “Ruling Awami League leader’s son identified among IS photos of deadly Bangladesh siege terrorists”, as published in bd-news-24-dot-com.
The atheist author and women rights propagator now lives in Delhi on long term visa under a special consideration.

To my astonishment, today’s Economic Times has her article on the subject at the top of its Op-Ed page! I didn’t expect that from our secular media.
Perhaps, they’ve finally begun to realize that it could happen to them in the not-too-distant future if pre-emptive measures are not taken.

Clarifying her stand on BD PM’s opinion in an interview with Rajdeep Sardesai in India Today that Islamic Militants just tried to defame Islam through Cafe attack in Dhaka, the BD author Taslima in exile said, BD PM wanted to hide the real face of Islam. Taslima thinks ISIS and Boko Haram are the real face of Islam and most of the Muslim people think them sacred.
The interview was released on 07.07.2016 in Youtube.
