BJP Central Team stopped by WB Police from entering in Dhulagarh where Hindus were victimized by Jihadis on Milad-un-Nabi.

Upendra Bharati | HENB | Dhulagarh (WB) | Dec 24, 2016:: A BJP central team was stopped by West Bengal police from entering the violence-hit area in Dhulagarh in Howrah district today after which it staged a road blockade, accusing the Mamata Banerjee government of pursuing “appeasement politics”.

The BJP delegation comprising party MPs Jagdambika Pal (senior leader), Satpal Singh (ex police commissioner of Mumbai), state president Dilip Ghosh and its national secretary Rahul Sinha along with supporters was stopped at Ekabbarapur Road, about one kilometre away from the spot where the clashes had taken place a few days ago.

The police, which cordoned off the area and deployed a large number of personnel, told the delegation that they would not be allowed to proceed since prohibitory orders have been imposed under Section 144 of CrPC.

Angered by it, the BJP delegation along with one thousand odd supporters blocked the road in protest. Alleging that there is no law and order in the state, Pal said the government was following “appeasement politics towards a particular community”. He also alleged that the government had transferred the Howrah (Rural) Superintendent of Police Sabyasachi Raman Mishra for arresting 65 people in connection with the violence at Dhulagarh, where houses belonging to Hindu community and their property were attacked by Jihadi Muslims.

The TOI version implicated the State authority for Dhulagarh attack on peaceful residents and narrated the  mayhem as a ‘system failure’.

The TOI reporter Tamal visited many places of ‘Banerjee Para’ where the victim Hindus narrated the massive attack without any restraint from police or any side to save them.

While TOI asked Idrish Ali, a Muslim leader erstwhile involved for driving out Taslima Nasrin from Kolkata. now a leader of Minority cell (read Muslim Cell) of TMC, charged BJP only to create all such tensions in Dhulagarh, but Mamata Banerjee is keeping peace and furthering development of the state ‘as a symbol of communal harmony and development’.

In a retaliation, senior BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh clearly said that the Dhulagarh incident was a communal handiwork of TMC people. They came and attacked on Hindus of Dhulagarh in presence of the police. So many video footage were seen in net. Why Police of Mamata Banerjee could not arrest the people earlier whoever they may be, either BJP or TMC?

The TOI news also pointed out that WB Chief Minister did not even pass any comment about Dhulagarh incident where 60 Hindu families were attacked, their houses were burnt and vandalized, temples were desecrated, properties and wealth were looted, women were molested, residents fled, 144 were imposed (still now in force), 65 culprits were arrested…. but Mamata Nero Banerjee was busy to play then her violin with the demonetization pieces.

The Central BJP has also asked its state unit in WB to approach the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to highlight the communal violence in the state+.

While the BJP is seeking to raise the issue in the state and at the national level, the RSS has also gone on an overdrive to highlight targeted violence against Hindus in West Bengal.
