Pinki’s Story: Representative tale of a Hindu Minor Girls raped by a  Muslim goon in Bangladesh.

Prof.  Chandan Kumar Sarkar* | Dhaka – Bangladesh | Feb 21, 2017:: Pinki Mali 13 a Minor girl, D/O Khapu Mali -42 at Durgahata, Gabtoli, Bogra was raped brutally by one Mohammad Saheb Ali -55 years. On 7th July 2016 at around 7 pm Pinki went to collect their clothing near the house. The Perpetrator Mohammed Saheb Ali was waiting there, he told to come to his house for just a visit that was adjoint.

When Pinki entered into his house Saheb Ali locked the door and shown to her a knife and ordered with anger ‘ Open your Salowar and Kamiz” (two part casual wear). Pinki tried to shout- suddenly, but Mohammed Saheb captured her mouth with her clothing and started to open her Salowar and Kamiz forcefully and brought her into the bed and brutally raped her multiple times.

After everything, while Pinki was crying, Mohammed Saheb told her keep quiet and threatened not to tell anything to anyone otherwise he would kill Pinki including her family members too.

On 28th November 2016, Pinkis’ Physical condition had declined and her mother brought her to a doctor and doctor confirmed her pregnancy and it was in an advanced level. When Pinki’s parents informed the matter to Saheb Ali and some local people,  the rapist  Saheb Ali threatened to kill all of them in Pinki’s family once again.

On 14th December, Pinkis’ father informed to Research and Empowerment Organization–REO (A prime organisation in Bangladesh working for the minority rights and equality for indigenous people) asking for help. Bikash Swarnokar, head of REO at Bogra complained to the officer in Charge at Gabtoli Police Station, Bogra and did a FIR under a section of The Prevention of Oppression against Women and Children Special Act 2003 ( Nari O Shishu Nirjatan Daman Bishesh Ain 2003) and The Bangladeshi Penal Code 1860, on that day. Then the respective Police officer on duty ensured the complainants to arrest the he perpetrator soon.

But, with some political support and his own gang of criminals, Saheb Ali is roaming free in the locality and the concerned OC is yet to arrest the  rapist as he is believed so powerful to threaten everyone including the OC, Gabtoli PS.

However, on 16th February 2017, REO arranged to admit her into the Hospital on emergency basis and on 17th February 2017, Pinki gave birth of a cute baby boy.

Hope, that the baby will not be a rapist like his father and will not be able to know his Islamist father at all.

The local persons of REO are now taking care of the victim’s family.
