Hindu Organisations in Chennai protest against Govt control over Hindu temples.

B Upendran | HENB | Chennai | Sept 4. 2018:: Many Hindu organisations of Tamil Nadu assembled in Chennai on 2nd September to protest against the irrational Govt. Control over the Hindu temples in the state.

Shri. H. Raja of BJP arranged for a massive protest to safeguard Temples from Government control under the banner of Temple protection movement. It was a fasting protest started from morning 7.00 am to evening 6.00 pm at Nungambakkam Sabhamandapam, Chennai. Large numbers of Hindus participated in the protest meeting to show their support and solidarity for the cause of temple protection. Leaders from different Hindu organizations greeted Shri. H. Raja by offering shawl. Shri. Kashinath Shetty, Sou. Suganthi Jaikumar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Shri. Radhakrishnan of Shivsena addressed the gathering.

All the speakers raised their voice against the Govt control over the Hindu temples and the mismanagement in Temple Boards controlled by Govt. The speakers also opposed the misutilization of huge temple funds and offerings given to the Hindu temples everyday by the devotees.

Over 2000 devout Hindus and 500 active workers attached to temple protection groups  participated in the programme. All the devout Hindus present in the programme expressed their wholehearted support for this Temple protection movement.
