V Ramamoorthy | HENB | Kottayam | Nov 17, 2018::  Hindu Aikya Vedi leader KP Sasikala Teacher who was under preventive detention has been granted bail by the sub divisional magistrate court in Tiruvalla on Saturday. Soon after getting released, the 56-year-old leader expressed her desire to return to Sabarimala, provided her health allows.

Sasikala was detained by police at Marakkoottam while trekking up to the temple in the wee hours of Saturday. She was later brought to Ranni police station. Hundreds of workers of various Hindu outfits gathered at the police station leading to tense moments .

Right-wing organisations called for a hartal in the state on Saturday to protest her arrest. The police produced her before the sub divisional magistrate in Tiruvalla by evening. They also submitted a detailed report on Sasikala.

The Saturday Hartal called by many Hindu Organisations paralyzed the normal life in many parts of Kerala+.

In a massive crackdown in Sabarimala as many as 10 Hindu Leaders were taken to custody+ caused Hindu agitation in a pick.

As per latest reports, two of prominent Hindu leaders viz. Brahmachari Dr BhargavaRam, Prthivipal and  Adv. P Sudheer got bail through Court. But many others still remain in police custody.

It is also reported that amid Nilakkal stand off, BJP secretary K Surendran detained by police some hours back+.

The Communist Kerala Govt led by Pinarayi Vijayan and Kerla Police are torturing and obstructing genuine Ayyappa devotees violating all Human Rights and the Hindu Rights of Worship as per prevailing faith and rituals.

TDB to move SC on Monday

PTI | Pamba | Nov 17, 2018::  The Travancore Devaswom Board, which manages the Sabarimala shrine, would move the Supreme Court on Monday seeking more time to implement its order allowing women of menstrual age to offer prayers at the Lord Ayyappa temple. The TDB’s move comes a day after the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government, at an all-party meeting, took a firm stand that it was bound to implement the top court order and rejected suggestions by opposition parties that it seek time from the court.

“We will move the Supreme court on Monday through Advocate Chandra Uday Singh” TDB President A Padmakumar, told PTI.

The board had Friday said it would move the apex court either Saturday or Monday seeking more time to implement the September 28 verdict of the top court allowing women of all age groups to offer prayers at the Sabarimala shrine as it wanted the devotees to have peaceful ‘darshan’.

The temple and surrounding areas have come under unprecedented security for the season which draws lakhs of devotees to offer prayers to Lord Ayyappa.

The Supreme Court is slated to hear petitions seeking review of its September 28 order in January, but has refused to stay it.
