Police Solved Diamond Harbour Rly Station Master Murder Case Within a Week.

Muslim lover held for Hindu Station Master’s death, deceased’s wife also held as a conspirator under a Love Jihad Truce.

Ashis Basu | HENB | Diamond Harbour | Nov 16, 2019:: In connection with the murder of Hindu Station Master (operating) of Diamond Harbour railway station (ER) Nirmal Kumar, police arrested his wife Sonali Kumar and her lover Arshad Jalil on Thursday (Nov 14).

Kumar went to the market on Sunday (10th Nov) evening and returned home sometime after as the weather was too bad. After dinner Nirmal, his wife and their baby daughter went to bed as usual. At that time Sonali’s brother was also with them.  On Monday morning Nirmal’s body was found in a drain near his rented house at Roynagar in Diamond Harbour (ward no. 11), just 2 minutes away from the railway station.

During investigation, the police officials got suspicious on the behavior of Nirmal’s wife Sonali. Checking the mobile call list of Sonali, police detected one Arshad Jalil to whom Sonali used to chat for a long time on regular basis.  In the meanwhile post mortem report confirmed the strangulation as the cause of death of Station Master Nirmal Kumar.

Tracking the tower location police caught Arshad from Khiderpur area of Kolkata on Thrusday (14th Nov) night.

Later,  during rigorous police interrogation, Sonali broke down and admitted that his ex-boy friend on Arshad killed Nirmal. She disclosed she had a relationship with Arshad before her marriage and under his provocation she even used to stay in her father’s house at Munger instead of his husband Nirmal’s house at Sultanganj at Bhagalpur of Bihar.

The murderer Arshad admitted the facts that he killed Nirmal to her lover Sonali back to him.

From the sequence it was revealed that Arshad  planned to throw the body of Nirmal on the railway track to prove the murder as an accident. But, the body of Nirmal fell down in a drain while carrying out the same from murder scene and the plan to throw the dead body in the railway track could not be possible.

At the time of murder Sonali turned the volume of the TV  high as no untoward sounds could reach the nearby dwellers.

Within sometime Arshad fled and Sonali went to bed normally and woke up late until the house owner lady  found a body in a drain and knocked the door of Sonali to rise an alarm.

Though Sonali  got married to Nirmal and had their a baby girl of one and half year,  she compelled to maintain her relationship with Arshad under a Love Jihad truce. On Sunday, she along with Arshad  strangled Nirmal to death mercilessly.

Arshad told Sonali, after Nirmal’s death she would get a job in Indian Railways in a die-in-harness case and they will be able to marry each other in a free life anew.

On Friday (15 Nov) Arshad jalil and Sonali Kumar both produced to the Diamond Harbour ACJM Court and sent to the murderers for 10 day’s police custody for further investigation in Nirmal Kumar’s murder case.

Police framed the murderers under Sec 302 (Punishment for murder), 201 (Causing disappearance of evidence of offence) and 120 B (Punishment of criminal conspiracy) of Indian Penal Code, so far.
