Strict law to put check on ‘love jihad’ in UP, says CM Yogi Adityanath.

Rajeev Dikshit | TNN | Malhali (Jaunpur) | Oct 31, 2020:: Referring to Friday’s decision of Allahabad high court that conversion only for marriage is not valid, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath  said that his government will ensure compliance of the ruling and also bring a strict law to put a check on “love jihad “.

While addressing a charged gathering in support of Bhartiya Janata Party  candidate from Malhani seat  for assembly byelection on Saturday, Yogi said his government is planning to take a decision in view of the court’s order. “We will work to strictly stop love jihad by formulating a stringent law”, he said.

” Jo log naam Swaroop chhupa kar chhadm tarike se behen betiyo ke izzat se khelwad karte hai, unko pahle se chetawani. Sudhrenge nahi to Ram Naam Satya ki yatra niklane wali hai (It’s a warning for those playing with chastity of women by hiding their name and identity … they should mend their ways or their final procession will begin),” warned Yogi.

Mentioning the recently launched “Operation Shakti” for women security in the state, Yogi said that his government is committed to protect the honour of women at any cost.
