Three Hindu Mahasabha activists arrested  for offering prayers to Lord Shiva inside Taj Mahal complex.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Agra | March 11, 2021::  Again, Hindu Mahasabha members claimed Taj Mahal as a 12^th Century Shiva Temple, which was converted as a tomb in 1632 by Mugal King Shah Jahan.

Three members of the Hindu Mahasabha were arrested on Thursday for offering prayers to Lord Shiva inside the Taj Mahal comples, police said.

A case was registered against the trio, including a woman, after they were apprehended by Central Industrial Security Force personnel deployed at the monument and handed over to the police, Inspector Umesh Chandra Tripathi of Tajganj police station said.

Police said Meena Diwakar, the provincial president of the Hindu Mahasabha, started praying by chanting Shiva Tandava Stotram and offered Aarti along with the other seven on a bench near the central tank in the complex. The Mughal-era monument is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Police freed 5 youths arresting total three.

Hindus claim that Tajmahal is actually built as Tejo Mahalaya by a Rajput king Raja Paramardi Dev in  1212 AD  before Shah Jahan, who converted and opened it in 1632 as a mausoleum/tomb in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Earlier, the controversy of Taj Mahal and Tejo Mahalaya reached to the Court, when ASI declared Taj Mahal as a tomb but Hindus could not agree with the matter at all.

After the arrest of three Hindu Mahasabha leaders, the supporters of organisation started protest against the arrest and demanded immediate release of the arrested leaders.

Eminent Hindu interlocutor and Hindu Existence Editor, Upananda Brahmachari congratulated the Hindu Mahasabha members who tried to restoration of Hindu Pride of Tejo Mahalaya in this Maha Shiv Ratri period.

National President of Hindu Mahasabha, Smt. Rajyashree Choudhuri told HENB that Mahasabha will fight unto last to reclaim Taj Mahal as Tejo Mahalaya which is actually an ancient Hindu Temple dedicated to  Lord Shiva.
