B Upendran | HENB | Hyderabad | Nov 9, 2022:: The Telangana High Court has granted conditional bail to suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh. Raja Singh had been arrested under the PD (Preventive Detention) Act after his ‘objectionable remarks’ on Prophet Mohammad. Raja Singh had released a video with his objectionable remarks after the state government allowed comedian Munawar Faruqui, who had earlier made some tasteless jokes about Lord Ram, to hold a show in the city. Muslim youth had held protests in the city after Raja Singh’s video went viral on social media.

 Raja Singh’s advocate while speaking to HENB  said, “High Court set aside the PD Act and gave some conditions that T Raja Singh can’t take out rallies and can’t address the media & that no derogatory comments be posted on social media in the future. So today’s rally, at least, won’t be held.”

T. Raja Singh was detained under Act No.1 of 1986 on August 25, 2022 i.e. P.D Act as per the orders of the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City. The police said in a release that the detainee commented: “very blasphemously against Prophet Mohammed and his lifestyle”.

A bench of Justice Abhishek Reddy and Justice Juvvadi Sridevi ordered the MLA to not make any provocative speech against any religion or post any derogatory or offensive posts on any social media platforms or participate and hold any celebratory rally or meeting after release.

Raja Singh, the Goshamahal legislator is released after 76 days languishing in jail under PD Act as the tyrant Telengana Govt of K Chandrashekar Rao had to please he Muslims for keeping a hold on its minority vote bank.

BJP set a distance with the Hindutva icon and its MLA Raja Singh when he taunted the comedian Munawar Faruqui in an objectionable way to expose Prophet Muhammad’s personal life.

In his first tweet after release, Raja Singh writes:  “धर्म की विजय हुई। एक बार पुनः आपकी सेवा में उपस्थित होगया हु। जय श्री राम” – Victory has come on Righteousness. Again I am at your service. Hail Lord Rama.
