Earlier in the day, Siddaramaiah had clarified that he is a Hindu who follows Hindu Dharma and stands against Hindutva. 

India Today Web Desk | New Delhi | Feb 6, 2023:: Sanatan Dharma and Hindutva are not different, BJP’s National General Secretary CT Ravi said, adding that Hindutva believes in equality. This comes after former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah alleged that ‘Manuvada’ and ‘Hindutva’ encourage murder, violence and discrimination.

“If Siddaramaiah doesn’t agree with Hindutva, it means he doesn’t want equality. He wants casteism. That’s why he plotted and defeated Parmeshwar. His remark that he doesn’t agree with Hindutva is in line with his character. Hindutva believes in equality,” Ravi stressed.

Earlier in the day, Siddaramaiah clarified that he is a Hindu who follows Hindu Dharma and stands against Hindutva.

“Hindutva and Hindu Dharma are different. I’m always projected as anti-Hindu and anti-Hindu Dharma. I’m not anti-Hindu Dharma. I’m also a Hindu, but I’m anti-Manuvada and Hindutva,” he had said.

Addressing a gathering, the former chief minister argued, “Does any religion encourage murder or violence? But Manuvada and Hindutva encourage murder, violence and discrimination. That’s the difference between Hindu Dharma and Hindutva.”
