Stop attacks upon cow-savers in the hands of cow-smugglers & growing lynching row: Maha Speaker.

Meeting with Maha Speaker

Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Narvekar instructed the Police not to register false FIRs against Gau-rakshak (Cow-Savers) after the death of Shekhar Rapelli in the hands of ‘Cow-smuggling’ rackets.

Police action against illegal cow smuggling, cow slaughter, or beef trading must be stopped as per existing law. The lives of cow savers are no less important than the lives of illegal cow smugglers or beef traders. No, the ill-treatment of the Hindu cow savers will be tolerated: Cow Protection Committees.

Rahul NarvekarUpendra Bharti | HENB | Mumbai | June 27, 2023:: On June 19, Hindu Gau-rakshak (cow-saver) Shekhar Rapelli was killed in Nanded by 15 Jihadi assailants where only 3 Muslims were arrested by the Maharashtra Police. 6 Hindu cow-savers were seriously injured in the incident, but the news did not appear in the headlines in any national newspaper like Indian Express and no hue and cry from the selective secular elements, nor any media found any brutality in that case. The Police formalities and the reluctance to arrest the rest of the assailants were alarming as police also registered FIR against the Hindus who were the real victim of the incident.

On the other hand, an illegal Muslim Beef-trader named Afaan Ansari was killed in a scuffle in Nashik on June 24, the news of which appeared in the First page as headline of Indian Express with the caption, “11 arrested in Nashik for killing man, brutally assaulting another for ‘transporting beef.” In this case, Maharashtra Police arrested 11 Hindu persons immediately and assured to arrest other Hindus suspected very soon with all police promptness.  As apprehended, all sympathies of the media and the police department were drawn in favour of the persons who promote illegal cow slaughter and beef trading in Maharashtra.

Two of the above incidents are unfortunate. But, the treatment of the Hindu cow-savers in falsifying many truths and showering sympathies to the illegal Muslim butchers and beef traders exposed enough the anti-Hindu mentality of the media and police as well. Such complicated exposers of news show only the aggravated strength of Islamic cow-smuggling-killing and beef-trading rackets in Maharashtra in the loopholes of non-implementation of law and reluctance of police departments on many counts.

On Monday, June 26, Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Advocate Rahul Narvekar directed police to ensure that ‘gau rakshaks’ are not booked on false charges, and that FIRs be lodged and probed if they are threatened or attacked.

Speaker Narvekar gave these directions at a meeting Monday, called in the wake of the killing of a ‘gau rakshak’ from Nanded a week ago and the incident of Nashik near Igatpuri later.

On June 19, The Hindu cow saver Shekhar Rapelli (32) was killed in an attack after he and his friends intercepted a vehicle and tried to check the same on suspicion that it was smuggling cattle. When they tried to stop the vehicle, around 15 men from the vehicle allegedly attacked them.

Police arrested 3 culprits identified as Shaikh Isaaq Chandsaab, 45, Mujaait alias Muju Isaaq Shaikh, 22, and Shaikh Mujmil alias Muju Shaikh Fayaz alias Mustafa, 23; all from the Apparaopeta region of the neighboring state.

The tussle between Cow-Savers and Cow-Slaughter rackets now created a law and order situation in Maharashtra.

“Strict legal action should be initiated to stop cow slaughter in Maharashtra and flying squads should be formed to stop illegal transportation of animals in border areas. In addition, incidents of threats being given to Gau Rakshaks and attacks on them should be immediately probed and FIRs be filed,” Speaker Narvekar said in the meeting on Monday held in the Vidhan Bhawan, Mumbai with the individuals and organisations working against cow slaughter in the state.

Such instructions from Maharashtra Assembly speaker are obviously made to ensure stop attacks upon Cow-Savers in the hands of Cow-smugglers and Beef-traders in the state along with the growing lynching rows as surfaced.

In that high-level meeting, the Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) and Cow Protection Committee officials were present.

As per the report, under the chairmanship of Speaker Adv. Rahul Narvekar,  Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Mr. Sanjay Saxena and Nanded Superintendent of Police Mr. Shrikrishna Kokate, Animal Welfare Board Chairman Mr. Kamlesh Shah, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Maharashtra Gaushala Co-coordinator Mr. Laxminarayan Chandak, Cow Protection and Goseva Sector in-charge Ramesh Purohit, Adv. Raju Gupta, Adv. Siddh Vidya, Dr. Vinod Kothari, Mr. Janak Sanghvi, Mrs. Rita Makwana, Mr. Ashok Jain, Mr. Sandeep Bhagat, Mr. Ganesh Parab, and others were present at the meeting.

In the meeting, Hon’ble Assembly Speaker Adv. Rahul Narvekar gave clear instructions that meat testing machines should be used to identify illegal beef trading. A meeting will be held again at Vidhan Bhawan, Mumbai to review the proceedings in this regard in the next ten days. Similarly, a joint meeting of the relevant departments in this regard will be held to make a clear policy for achieving the goal of cow protection through the Home Department in order to stop animal trafficking from other states for cow slaughter throughout the border of Maharashtra.

On behalf of the Cow-protection committee, it was told, ‘Police action against illegal cow smuggling, cow-slaughter or beef-trading must be stopped as per existing law. The lives of cow savers are no less important than the lives of illegal cow smugglers or beef traders. No, the ill-treatment of the Hindu cow savers will be tolerated.”

There are many illegal cow markets across the border of Maharashtra and illegal slaughter and beef selling points in Maharashtra which created a conflict between the cow-worshipers and beef-eaters in this row rivalry.
