Muslim people brutally attacked a Hindu student with weapons and sticks in Uttrakhand. Police arrested four amidst tension.

Uttarakhand: So-called ‘frightened’ Muslim community people attacked a Hindu student with weapons and sticks, tension in the area. Four arrested.

Seema Singh | HENB | Haridwar | July 30, 2023:: A section in Indian media and its international counterparts are always engaged to spread fake news that the minority Muslim people are persecuted in India and they are frightened (dare huye) as a result of the assault. But, the reality is completely reversed. As characteristics of the Muslim people, they always lock horns to the Hindu people to torture them in various ways to evict them from Muslim-majority areas. Not only that, Muslims try to capture the areas even in Hindu majority pockets by attacking Hindu girls, students, elderly to frighten the Hindus in a very horrible way. Here is an example.

In Uttrakhand (a BJP-ruled state) where Muslims are in a minority (only 13.95%), they spare no stone unturned to attack Hindus in alternate days to give a message that the State will be controlled by them very soon.

There was a lot of ruckus in Uttarakhand on Thursday. Aman Bhandari, a Hindu resident of Saraswati Vihar located in Haridwar Bypass, is a final year student of BCom in SGRR University. Due to two months old enmity, Muslim youths armed with sharp weapons and sticks made a fatal attack on the Hindu student in Patel Nagar industrial area. The victim was badly injured in the attack.

A planned attack

The enmity grew over comments on the Internet media two months back. The attack took place on Thursday evening when the student was returning home on a bike from the institute after classes were over.

The ambushed Muslim (just read Q 9.5 to understand the motive) attackers first hit the bike and dropped the Hindu student. After this, he was attacked with sharp weapons and sticks. The student has suffered serious head injuries and profuse bleeding in the attack and is undergoing treatment at Shrimahant Indresh Hospital. On the other hand, the Muslim attackers fled before the police arrived. At the same time, enraged by the incident, the students of the institute and activists associated with Hindu organizations broke a Scotty of the attackers parked at the spot and created a ruckus in the hospital as well.

The motive of the attack is clearly Islamic and posed as a planned one.

PAC is deployed on the spot

Seeing the situation of tension, the police force was called from all the police stations and outposts nearby. PAC is deployed on the spot. Police is raiding in search of the attackers. The situation remained tense till late night.

It is mentioned before that Aman Bhandari, a Hindu resident of Saraswati Vihar located in Haridwar Bypass, is a final year student of BCom in SGRR University.

At four o’clock on Thursday afternoon, he had just left the university on his bike.  Three Scotty-riding Muslim youths ambushed them at some distance hit him and dropped him on the ground. Before Aman could recover, suddenly about one and a half dozen Muslim youths armed with sharp weapons and sticks made a fatal attack on him. Aman was hit three times on the head, due to which he fell unconscious with profuse bleeding. By the time other students coming out of the institute rushed to save Aman and the assailants fled.

Police interrogated people

It is alleged that the Jihadi attackers ran away raising slogans in favor of the Muslim community including, “Allha ho Akbar”. An attacker’s scooty was left there, which was vandalized by angry university students. The students took the seriously injured Aman to the nearest Shrimahant Indresh Hospital. On the other hand, the students of the university gathered at the spot created a ruckus in protest against the attack, due to which the Lalpul-Kargi road was blocked. On information, Patel Nagar Kotwali police reached the spot and questioned the students and local shopkeepers regarding the attackers. During this, the police also searched the areas and the surrounding streets, but no attacker could be caught.

On the other hand, the news of the incident slowly spread throughout the city. A large number of university students and office bearers and workers of Hindu organizations reached the hospital and warned the police to arrest the attackers immediately. Hindu organizations also raised anti-Muslim slogans and tried to create a ruckus in the Muslim areas of Gandhigram and Kargigrant associated with the attackers, but the police somehow convinced them and stopped them.

Tension spread in the area

Seeing the matter of communal tension, SSP Dalip Singh Kunwar ordered CO Sadar Pankaj Gairola and Inspector Patel Nagar Kotwali Suryabhushan Negi to be posted from all the nearby police stations and posts in the police force hospital and area. Half a dozen police teams have been formed in search of the attackers, who are raiding different areas. The police searched the footage of all the CCTV cameras installed around the scene, in which the faces of some of the attackers are said to be captured.

At the same time, there was some improvement in the condition of the injured Aman Bhandari admitted to the hospital late at night. PAC has been deployed outside the hospital and in Patel Nagar industrial area after the anger of Hindu organizations and the tense atmosphere, while the search for the attackers continued till late at night. A case has been registered against the unknown assailants on behalf of the injured student Aman’s sister Anamika at Patel Nagar police station.

Anger amounted on the Muslim attendant

In Shrimahant Indresh Hospital, a Muslim attendant had to face protests and anger from the workers of Hindu organisations. When the workers of the Hindu organization were shouting slogans against the Muslim community, the said attendant of the hospital came and stood there. Due to this, the angry workers beat him by running. The police somehow rescued him and took him inside.

The dispute started from here

According to the police, the brawl started around two months back when Aman made some comments against the Muslim community on the internet media. Then the dispute reached the SSP office and the SSP handled the situation by convincing both the parties. Aman also removed his comment from the internet media. It is alleged that despite this, some Muslim youths were having a grudge against Aman. Thursday’s incident has come to light to be related to this dispute.

Late night police detained four people

Police detained four people late last night in connection with the attack on the student. One of them is the accused, while three are relatives of the accused. And the police raid continues. Four separate teams have been formed to arrest the accused. Apart from this, the location of the mobile phones of the accused is also being investigated.

Improvement of the condition of the injured student

The condition of Aman Bhandari admitted in Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is improving. He is under a doctor’s supervision. After the matter calmed down, the office bearers and workers of the Hindu organizations who gathered in the hospital returned to their homes. The situation outside the hospital is now normal.
