B Upendran | HENB | Bengaluru | Oct 8, 23023:: Karnataka Police have initiated legal action against a prominent Hindutva activist, Arun Kumar Puthila, after he encouraged members of the Hindu community to keep household weapons at home and worship swords in Puja places. The move comes in the wake of Puthila’s controversial statements following last week’s violence that followed the Eid Milad procession in Shivamogga and many other places where a section of Muslim community took out processions with lethal weapons.

Karanataka Police under Congress Government put no objections on such violent Islamic processions with brandishing swords and other weapons. But, they have strong objection for the possession of any type of weapons or arms with Hindu household.

Puthila, a well-known Hindutva leader in the region, alleged that the state government had permitted the public display of swords during processions, fueling his call for arming his own community. Puthila says, “Shaktiman (powerful) Hindus love and worship weapons.”

Traditionally, worshiping weapons is attached with the Hindu Rights of Worship. Hindu Gods and Goddesses carry weapons, At the time of Marriage Hindu bride-grooms also carry Swords as a symbol of valour. These can’t be infringed under any law. 

Addressing a gathering, Puthila stated, “One can see what kind of support they get. The government is supporting attacks on Hindus. Even our community possesses weapons and swords. The society is prepared to respond with force. During the Navaratri festival, weapons are worshipped. On that day, every household should perform a ritual to worship weapons. People should discontinue the worship of tools like screwdrivers and spanners and begin to venerate swords.”

In response to these remarks, the Shivamogga Rural police have registered a suo moto (on their own motion) case against the activist, indicating the seriousness with which authorities are treating the matter.

Puthila further alleged that the Congress government in the state was supporting fundamentalist forces in an effort to gain votes. He stated, “The Shivamogga violence was a pre-planned act. In this region, the Ganesh festival is celebrated on a grand scale. Fundamentalist forces have engaged in this act solely to intimidate the Hindu community.”

A section of Muslims made their Mosques as arsenals. They keep at least 3-4 meat choppers. They possess many unlicensed and illegal arms. Those are not the problems for Karnataka Police and administration. But, Arun Kumar Puthila’s call to worship swords in Hindu homes came down to the police and administration as a big problem.

Veteran Hindu interlocuter and Hindu Existence Website editor, Upananda Brahmachari condemn such anti-Hindu mentality of Karnataka Police and Administration. Taking his X handle Brahmachari reacted, “FIR Lodged Against Hindutva Activist Arun Kr Puthila For Encouraging Weapon Worshiping In Homes. @siddaramaiah, @DgpKarnataka, @INCKarnataka must not forget, Worshiping Weapons comes under Hindu Rights of Worship, Hindu Gods & Goddesses carry weapons.” 

Attaching a video of Aarti of Sangha Founder of Acharya Swami Pranavananda Ji Maharaj by the Monks of Bharat Sevashram Sangha with trident and swords, Brahmachari conveyed further, “By such a way of repression @siddaramaiah, @DgpKarnataka, @INCKarnataka, nobody will be successful to disarm the Hindus- the descendants of Lord Shiva, Rama, Krishna, Chatrapati Shivaji, Rana Pratap, Guru Govind Singh. Oh Hindus, don’t leave your rights of weapons!“

Interacting with this correspondent, Brahmachari criticized the Siddaramaiah Govt in  Karnataka as they were giving indulgence to the Jihadi forces in the state for vote Bank policies. But, one day that Jihadi upheaval in the state would put to an end for the Congress and Siddaramaiah Govt finally. “Hindus must procure licensed and legal arms for their protection. Otherwise they can keep coconut cutter, bush cutter, vegetable cutter for safe use in time. Hindus must contact nearest Bharat Sevashram Sangha and Hindu Milan Mandir units to get initiated (Guru Diksha) and install Gurusthan in every home and start daily Aarti as prescribed by the Sangha monks with Dhoop, Deep, Sankha, Shastra, Chamar and Pushpa. Hence, every Hindu homes can be permitted to keep at least one Trishul (Trident) and one Talwar (Sword),” Brhamachari added.
