Ram Mandir: The Bittersweet Journey Of Ayodhya Residents Amidst Redevelopment of Panchkoshi Parikrama.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Lucknow | Jan 19, 2024:: Preparations are at full swing in the temple town of Ayodhya as the city gets a makeover for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir on January 22. Redevelopment projects worth crores of rupees are in the pipeline as the city transforms to accommodate devotees who will visit the newly built temple.

On the other hand, road widening projects are resulting in demolition of parts of shops and houses, the compensation for which is unfair according to the locals. The Panchkoshi Parikrama marg is the 16 kilometer stretch around the Ram Mandir which is being widened. As per Indian Express ground report,  the locals whose houses fall on the route are grossly victimized.

As per the shocking video, the Ayodhya residents shed tears amidst joy of building Ram Temple as  Govt didn’t give the right compensation to the residents victimized after losing their homes, shops, cowsheds and livelihoods for widening Parikrama Marg.

It is seen in the video that a poor elderly woman is crying after losing her cowshed including homes which compelled her to stay under open sky in this winter causing all wretchedness of jobless situation and starvation.

Another old man of 85 years alleged that Govt did not give full compensation and it would very difficult for the victim people to build new homes, shops, other establishments with the  low compensation give by the state govt arbitrarily. “Families lost the shops and houses. Ayodhya is shattered now”, lamented the 85 years old man with a vacant look.

Even some temples were also demolished to widen the Panchkoshi Parikrama Marg (way).

With their broadness the victim people of Ayodhya praised PM Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath Yogi for building the Ram Temple at ram Janmabhoomi, but they demanded justice like Ram Raj as under the rule of King Rama there was no tears and misery for the Praja (public) whatsoever.
