Books on “Temple Economics Vol-I” and “A Decade for Temples – Vol II” released at Mumbai University. 

Shivani Shinde | HENB | Mumbai | Jan 27, 2024:: Two land mark books written by the author Sandeep Singh on Temple Economics and its Management have been released in Mumbai on January 26th January  on the very 75th Republic Day of India. The acclaimed author and speaker Sandeep has written these books on the basis of his personal research on Hindu Temples through his journey in the sphere for a decade. The books unearthed the mysteries of temple eccentric economy, development and social changes.

“Though Sandeep has taken four years to write the book, it is being published at the right time. The book will help the current and future generations to look at the Mandir from a new perspective” said Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale, Incharge Dept of Foreign Affairs of BJP; while speaking at the release function at Kalina Camus of Mumbai University.

“It is time to research and study Mandir based economics. Temples make a huge impact on Indian economy; it took a hit from few centuries. Mumbai University is planning a course on Temple Management. This book will be of great help.” Said Vice Chancellor Dr Ravindra Kulkarni at the event.

Sandeep Books

Speaking on the occasion Shri Kamal Poddar, MD Choice International said that Mandirs have huge impact on Indian Society. He gave the example of Khatu Shyamji Mandir in Rajasthan and explained “that this mandir has connected various generations who have migrated out of Rajasthan with the Rajasthan. All migrant takes out time once every year to visit the mandir.”

Author Sandeep Singh said that during Covid neither the Central government nor any State government said that there is a shortage of funds but still there was demand to take money from mandirs. Sadly, many Hindus also joined the chorus. This motivated Sandeep to write the book and explain what is Mandir based economy. Second volume talks about expectations from the devotees for betterment of mandir.

The book was released jointly by  Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale, Incharge Dept of Foreign Affairs of BJP; Dr Ravindra Kulkarni, Vice Chancellor – Mumbai University and Shri Kamal Poddar, MD Choice International.

These books are a must read for the members of different committees who are attached with the management and development of  various Hindu temples whether a large, medium or small.
