Huge Hindu repercussion against anti-Hindu Kirtaniya Dinakrishna Thakur in Joynagar (WB).

WB: Anti-Hindu Sankirtan performer Dinakrishna Thakur was thrashed in Jaynagar by Hindu youths for his ‘Krishna is Asura’ remarks. 

Shiv Prakash Das | HENB | Jaynagar | Feb 14, 2024:: The agitated Bengali Hindus  in South 24 Parganas in WB took a strong step against a disguised Sankirtan performer who was a habitual offender to attack Sanatan Hindu Dharma in a very derogatory manner. Sankirtan is a Bengali play (solo or chorus) elaborating, praising,  celebrating” or glorifying the name and attributes of Lord Kirshna especially and other gods and goddesses.

Kirtaniya (a Kirtan performer) Dinkrishna Thakur, an anti-traditional Hindu religion, faced strong public anger in Jayanagar police station area, where he has been living in a rented house, as reported.

The real name of Dinkrishna Thakur  is Suryapad Naskar (s/o Panchuram Naskar), who actually hails from Maya Hauri vicinity (vill Jiban Mondal’s Hat, PS Bakultala) of South 24 Parganas.

It is reported that he had previously served 9 months in jail for being involved in extramarital affairs with his aunt. He was now secretly living here and there. But he was caught in Jayanagar.

Dinakrishna was habituated to insult the Gods and Goddesses of Hindu Sanatan religion on regular basis in various Sankirtan programmes,

For a couple of days, he has been describing Lord Sri Krishna as an Asura in various Sankirtans. This caused great anger in the Hindu society.

He was apprehended on 10/02/2024 from his Jaynagar home by the local Ram Sena Committee members.

The half literate Dinakrishna tried to clarify his stand for his claim “Krishna was Asura” referring Rig Veda 8.11.96 from his mobile phone, as seen in the video. But, when the agitated Hindu youths asked Dinakrishna to narrate the full context of the hymns, Dinakrishan got perplexed. Actually, Rig Veda 8.11.96 has no connotation on Lord Krisha or Ausura as such. Interested viewers can have a look on the text from authentic source (Rig Veda Sayana Vashya, Published by Vaidika Samsodhana Mandala, Poona Sak 1863, CE 1941).

Though, the Rigveda Shaklasamhita 8.96.13 mentions a demon named Krishna even in its commentary by Sayanacharya that Asura Krishna is not Lord Krishna mentioned in Bhagavata Puran or Mahabharata.  Vasudeva Krishna (Varshnya) is different. Lord Krishna is worshipped as the eighth avatar  (incarnation) of Vishnu and also as the Supreme God (Svayam Bhagavan) and World Teacher (Jagadguru). There are so many mentions of Krishna in Purana in the name of Hill (Parvata), Hell (Naraka), Snake (Naga) or Dog (Sarameya) etc. But, those are not connected with Lord Krishna whose Nama and Mahima (Name and Virtues) are elaborated, praised or glorified in any Krirtan.

While Dinakrishna could not produce any scriptural proof in support of his claim ‘Lord Krishna was a Asura’, the local youths took him to a local Hanuman temple where he denied to take a vow to be refrained from abusing Hindu Dharma. This caused a great anger in the present Hindu youths and allegedly they thrashed Dinakrishna to teach a lesson.

He was then handed over to the Jayanagar police station amid public outcry. Videos in the social media showed how Dinakrishna fled away and pulled by a police personnel to save Dinakrishna from further public reactions.

The local Ramsena Committee has urged all Hindus to beware of such hypocrites like Dnakrishna Thakur who cause great harm to Sanatan Dharma. Local people also alleged that Dinakrishna converted himself in Buddhist and he has a link with a radical Ambedkarite faction.

Earlier Dinakrishna compared the name of “Lord Ram with alcohol Rum” and claimed that “Valmiki did not write Ramayana”.

A case in this connection has been registered, which was not divulged by the police so far.

Some supporters of Bahujan Samaj Party took out a protest rally on the next day in favour of Dinakrishna Thakur and gave a deputation to Joynagar police station demanding police protection for Dinakrishna.
