Namaz incident: Hindu Raksha Dal protests outside Delhi Police headquarters over SI’s suspension.

Hindu Raksha Dal members demand to revoke the suspension of Sub Inspector Manoj Kumar Tomar of Delhi Police.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | March 12, 2024:: Members of Hindu Raksha Dal held a protest outside Delhi Police headquarters on Tuesday. They were protesting against the suspension of a sub-inspector  who allegedly kicked some people offering namaz on a road in the Inderlok area.

During the protest, the members of the right-wing outfit chanted ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ and ‘Jai Shree Ram’.

The  Namaj row  took place on March 8, when sub-inspector (SI) Manoj Kumar Tomar shoved and kicked a few individuals who were praying on the road near a mosque. The mosques was specious to accommodate a good numbers of Muslims devotees for Namaj. But, they blocked the nearby road to show the Islamic strength on Namaj.

This led to a protest by hundreds of locals and the immediate suspension of the accused.

“If they have rights to offer namaz on roads, we have rights too to chant Hanuman Chalisa on the roads as well.

Our main demand is to bring the sub-inspector back on duty and to cancel his suspension orders,” a Hindu Raksha Dal leader said.

The Delhi Police have deployed both police and paramilitary forces to maintain law and order.

But, Delhi police’s callousness was surfaced when suspected SI Manoj Kumar was manhandled by the arrogant Muslim mob while he was being taken to the court under police protection.

Not only that, the Muslim mob tried to attack Indralok Police Station to show their repercussion against the Namaj row at North Delhi’s Indralok area.

Social media influencer and Hindutva activist Ritu Rathaur posted a video of attack on police station in her X handle on March 10.

Today, when the Hindu Raksha Dal protesters were demonstrating in front of Delhi Police Head Quarters, police arrested the protesters to suppress their voice.

 Taking her X handle, Ritu wrote: “Delhi police arrested hindus who were peacefully protesting for revoking suspension of sub inspector #ManojTomar !! Just amazing So delhi police under Modi govt first suspended a cop for trying to vacate a moving road from Namaazis Then they arrested hindus who were protesting peacefully!! And ask Delhi police how many namazis they arrested for their illegal activities?”
