Culpable Congress govt targeting Hindu activists in Karnataka: VHP

Congress govt’s vengeance politics targeting Hindu activists in Karnataka : Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

B Upendran | HENB | Mangaluru | April 5, 2024:: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has condemned police action of initiating externment process against Hindu activist Bharath Kumudel. VHP zonal convenor Puneeth Attavar alleged that the police action is part of the Congress govt’s vengeance politics in Karnataka. Bharath has been engaged in the protection of cows, religion, women, and in the fight against the drug menace.

However, Bharath has been served an externment notice to ensure that he does not involve himself in political activities during the Lok Sabha elections with extreme culpability, he claimed.

“We condemn the attempts being made to target Hindu activists by issuing externment notices. Bharath, who is the district coordinator of the Bajrang Dal, has been working for good causes through the organisation. Serving an externment notice on Bharath is part of vendetta politics and an anti-Hindu policy of the state govt. VHP condemns this anti-Hindu policy of the govt,” Puneeth stated.

During the assembly election held in 2023, the Congress had made a false promise of banning the Bajrang Dal and thereby planned a strategy to bag the votes of the minority. The Congress govt has been following the same tactics to appease the minority and thereby secure their votes, he said.

It has also been alleged by VHP,  while the Congress  Govt’s police in Karnataka is allowing the Muslim fundamental activities in the state, the state authority is highly engaged in repressing the Hindu organisations with extreme culpability.
