Swapna Gurung | HENB | Siliguri | May 23, 2024:: The police of Siliguri Mahila Police Station arrested a Muslim youth from Cooch Behar on the charge of hiding his Muslim identity and having a physical relationship with a Hindu young woman giving her the false promise of marriage. 

It is known that about 1 year ago, Nazrul came to Siliguri from Cooch Behar in search of work. At that time, the young man met a young Hindu woman. Nazrul told the young woman that his name was Krishna. Later, a love relationship developed between the two. With the promise of marriage, the two started living together and had physical relations. Meanwhile, a few days ago, Nazrul alias Krishna suddenly disappeared from Siliguri. After that, the young woman went to Cooch Behar in search of the young man. There, the young woman came to know that her lover Krishna’s real name is Nazrul Hussain and that he is married and has two children.  

Knowing all these the victim Hindu girl lodged an FIR in Siliguri Mahila Police Station alleging ‘rape’ and ‘sexual exploitation’ against Nazrul, as sources said. 

After that, the young woman filed a complaint against Nazrul at the Siliguri Women’s Police Station on the 19th. On the basis of that complaint, the young man was arrested from Cooch Behar on Wednesday and brought to Siliguri. The arrested person was produced in the Siliguri court today.

With such false promises of marriage and hiding their Muslim identity after taking Hindu names, the Muslim ‘Love Jihadis’ used to trap the Hindu girls and women and finally exploited them in various ways. 

In some cases, the victim girls are blackmailed by the Muslim perpetrators and eventually thrown to the prostitution and even murdered in order to avoid any further row of tussle.
