Sharp Reaction From RSS, VHP, & HJS On Rahul Gandhi’s Anti-Hindu Remarks.

RSS, VHP, HJS highly condemned Rahul Gandhi’s “Hindus are violent” remarks in Parliament. 

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | July 2, 2024: Day after Congress’s Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Hindus are violent’ along with remarks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that a conspiracy was being hatched to level false allegations against Hindus.

In his speech Rahul said, “Abhayamudra is the symbol of the Congress…The Abhayamudra is the gesture of fearlessness, the gesture of reassurance and safety, which dispels fear and accords divine protection and bliss in Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism and other Indian religions… All our great men have spoken about non-violence and finishing fear… But, those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, untruth…you are not Hindus….”. Rahul also said, “Narendra Modi is not the whole Hindu Society, BJP is not the whole Hindu Society and RSS is not the entire Hindu Society”.

Replying to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address in Lok Sabha, PM Modi said, “It’s serious matter that conspiracy being hatched to level false allegations against Hindus.” Earlier PM Modi intervened in Rahul’s speech by saying, “Calling the entire Hindu community violent is a very serious matter.””

As the “Hindus are violent” remarks of the leader of opposition in the parliament created a huge repercussion in the mind of Hindutva people  along with the majority Hindus, the ‘Biggest Hindutva oraganisation’ Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS), the ‘international Hindu body’ Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and ‘Cultural-Constitutional-Sovereign Hindu Rashtra’  propagator Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) condemned and rejected the views expressed by Rahul Gandhi.

The RSS slammed Rahul Gandhi for his  “not Hindus” jibe at the RSS, Modi and ruling BJP in the Lok Sabha on Monday and said it was “unfortunate” that the leader of opposition linked Hindutva with violence.

Reacting to the Congress leader’s remarks, senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary Sunil Ambekar said, “People holding important positions in parliament linking Hindutva with violence is extremely unfortunate.”

“Whether it is the Hindutva of (Swami) Vivekananda or (Mahatma) Gandhi, it is a symbol of harmony and brotherhood,” he added.

Reacting to the remarks of Rahul Gandhi, VHP’s International President Advocate Alok Kumar said Rahul Gandhi’s comments “linking Hindus to violence” was an injustice to a community which never used violence to convert others but in line with the the policy Congress  followed since Independence where it allowed other communities to practise their faith but advised the majority Hindu community to become “secular”

He also recalled Rahul Gandhi’s conversation with US diplomats, as per disclosures made by Wikileaks, where he said that he was more concerned about Hindu radicalism than Jihadi terrorism.

The National Spokesperson of HJS, Ramesh Shinde also has given a sharp reaction against the irresponsible and biased statement given by Rahul Gandhi defaming the Hindus in a very shameful way.

In a communique, HJS conveyed, “Rahul Gandhi’s statement in Parliament attempted to portray Hindus as violent, and we strongly condemn this on behalf of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. This is not his first attempt; previously, the Congress has tried to introduce the concept of saffron terrorism or Hindu terrorism. The Congress has always tried to defame the Hindu community on a global level. Rahul Gandhi’s earlier visits to temples wearing a sacred thread were deceitful, as he has now made it clear to the Hindu community. Gandhi, whom he often references for his non-violence teachings, himself identified as a Hindu who believed in the chaturvarna. Rahul Gandhi should understand this clearly.”

The HJS communique also states, “We need to look at history and ask who displaced the Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir in the 1990s. Will Rahul Gandhi speak which community was responsible for this displacement? Despite the atrocities kashmiri hindus faced, how many displaced Kashmiri Hindus took up arms like AK-47? He should address this”.

“The global Hindu community today is recognized for its ideology of universal peace and welfare, embodying the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ or the world as one family. Labeling this community as violent or terrorist is an attempt to tarnish its reputation. Rahul Gandhi should feel ashamed of his ancestors instead. In my opinion, strict action should be taken against him, and all Congress leaders should clarify their stance on what they think of Hindus,” the HJS communique further added.
