Alleged death threat from UP to a Hindu MP of BJP in Madhya Pradesh.

BJP MP of Madhya Pradesh Mahendra Singh Solanki gets threat from Uttar Pradesh, “If you promote Hindutva, I will have you killed.”

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Bhopal | July 22, 2024:: BJP MP from Madhya Pradesh, Mahendra Singh Solanki, receives death threat from a unknown persons from Uttar Pradesh for promoting Hindutva.

Mahendra Singh Solanki, a Hindu leader and Member of Parliament from the Dewas-Shajapur constituency, received a death threat over the phone on Friday. The call was made from a number in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Solanki has filed a complaint with Dewas Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay regarding this matter.

Solanki, known for his strong Hindu and Sanatani image, stated that he received the call at his residence in Tilak Nagar while he was studying. The unknown caller asked for his name, used abusive language, and objected to Solanki’s nationalist and Hindutva-themed videos. When Solanki opposed the caller’s views, he was threatened with death, and the caller claimed that he would send people to kill Solanki.

Solanki immediately informed Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay, who confirmed that the number used to make the call was from Kanpur and is currently inactive. The police are taking the matter seriously, and a team will be formed to investigate and take action. A complaint has also been filed at the Civil Lines police station. Solanki has informed his family about the incident and expressed confidence that the police will conduct a thorough investigation and take strict action against the culprits.

Police could not confirmed whether the threat came from an Islamist person involved in any Jihadi group.
