Upendra Bharti | HENB | Lucknow | Aug 21, 2024:: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized on Wednesday that unity among Hindus is crucial for India’s security. He warned that if this unity is compromised, it would create vulnerabilities that foreign forces could exploit to divide the country.
Speaking at an event to mark the 3rd death anniversary of former UP chief minister Kalyan Singh in Lucknow, Adityanath said: “Humein Hindu ekta ke mehatva ko samjhna padega… Hindu ek jati nahi hai, mat aur majhab nahi hai…Yeh Bharat ki suraksha ki guarantee hai… Jab tak Bharat ka mulya sanatan Hindu samaj majboot hai, Bharat ki ekta aur akhandta ko duniya ki koi taaqat chunauti nahi de sakti (We need to understand the importance of Hindu unity… Hindu is not a caste, sect or religion. It is the guarantee for India’s security.. Until the original Sanatan Hindu society of India remains strong, no force of the world can challenge the unity and integrity of the country).”
“If we allow this unity to fracture, we risk emboldening foreign forces that seek to divide our country. It’s crucial that we thwart these conspiracies and prevent them from succeeding,” CM Yogi added emphatically.
Paying tribute to Kalyan Singh, Adityanath said: ‘Following in Kalyan Singhji’s footsteps is no easy feat. It requires immense struggle, courage in the face of challenges, selflessness, and sacrifice. This is why he earned the deep trust of the people. He courageously confronted the forces of his time, endured harsh circumstances, and remained unwavering in his commitment to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
Kalyan Singh was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 1992, when the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was demolished by a mob of Hindu activists, known as Kar Sevaks, on December 6, 1992. This event was a pivotal moment in India’s history and had significant political and social effects to reach BJP to the top of the power.
Adityanath stated that Kalyan Singh’s struggles and legacy serve as a source of inspiration and energy for every follower of Sanatan Dharma (the ancient Hindu tradition).
CM Yogi Adityanath criticized the Samajwadi Party (SP) and its leaders for failing to pay tribute to Kalyan Singh, affectionately known as ‘Babuji’. He specifically accused SP chief Akhilesh Yadav of not even offering a single word of condolence.
However, when a notorious local mafia leader passed away, Akhilesh Yadav visited his village to offer condolences. This raises questions about the values of the PDA (Progressive Democratic Alliance). Those who were responsible for the bloodshed of countless Hindus were mourning the mafia leader’s death as if they had lost a family member. According to Yogi Adityanath, this exposes the true nature of the PDA, which claims to represent the interests of the marginalized, including the backward classes, Dalits, minorities, and women.”
CM Yogi Adityanath criticized the Samajwadi Party (SP) over its handling of women’s safety, citing recent incidents in Ayodhya, Kannauj, and Lucknow as evidence of the Opposition’s failure. He urged unity in the fight against such elements, warning that they would continue to deceive the public unless held accountable. Adityanath credited the ‘double-engine’ BJP governments at the Centre and state for shutting down the SP’s ‘shops of hooliganism and anarchy’ and thwarting their conspiracies at every turn.
CM Yogi Adityanath reassured the people of Uttar Pradesh that they have no reason to worry, as the ‘zero-tolerance policy’ introduced by Kalyan Singh in 1991 remains in force today. The double-engine government will continue to maintain a zero-tolerance stance against crime, criminals, corruption, and corrupt individuals, no matter the cost. Adityanath also highlighted Kalyan Singh’s remarkable life journey, from humble beginnings as a farmer and teacher to his roles as an RSS volunteer, BJP worker, MLA, MP, Health Minister in the post-emergency Janata Party government, and ultimately, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
The impact of Kalyan Singh’s dedication to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement is clear today. People from all over the world, including workers and marginalized communities, have witnessed the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The construction of the Ram Temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi serves as a symbol of hope during a time when humanity was oppressed. This hope was kindled when ‘Babuji’ (Kalyan Singh) declared that even if the government fell, he would not target Ram devotees. He remained unwavering in his commitment to his values and ideals.
CM Yogi Adityanath recalled Kalyan Singh’s role in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and described October 30 and November 2, 1990, as ‘dark chapters’ in India’s history. On those days, the government, led by Mulayam Singh Yadav, opened fire on Ram devotees (Karsevaks) in Ayodhya, attempting to divide Hindu society under the guise of fake social justice.
