BJP MLA’s reaction in Yati Narsinghanand Row: ‘The Constitution of Babasaheb will prevail, not Sharia law’.

‘Taste of Israel’: BJP MLA’s warning to Muslim protesters in Uttar Pradesh in Yati Narsinghanand Row. 

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | Oct 9, 2024:: Protests against devout Hindutva leader Yati Narsinghanand’s straight cut remarks about the Islamic Prophet Muhammad have taken a supportive turn from BJP side. Two BJP MLAs in Uttar Pradesh have warned  with threatening warnings to Muslim protesters to ‘Taste of Israel’ treatment. Shalabh Mani Tripathi, one of the MLAs, cautioned that protesters would face an “Israeli-style” crackdown if they continued such nuisance. On social media platform X, Tripathi wrote, “Here, the Constitution of Babasaheb Ambedkar will prevail, not Sharia law. You’ve been warned.”

His statement was echoed by another BJP MLA, Nand Kishore Gurjar, whose bold remarks have sparked widespread concern. The Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has condemned these statements, demanding immediate disciplinary and legal action against the MLAs. This development has controlled the hooliganism from Muslim communities in Uttar Pradesh, already reeling from recent violence.

Nand Kishor Gurjar, a BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh (Loni Assembly seat in Ghaziabad), has made some direct statements regarding the recent protests. While speaking to reporters at Dasna Devi temple, where Yati Narsinghanand serves as head priest, Gurjar suggested that protesters intended to attack Dasna Devi Mata Temple should be charged under the National Security Act (NSA) and even proposed that those not apprehended should be shot dead in police encounters. He also felt that the police should have taken a more forceful approach when handling the protests.

Gurjar’s statements have been met with widespread criticism, particularly from the Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, which has demanded disciplinary and legal action against him and another BJP MLA, Shalabh Mani Tripathi (Deoria Assembly Constituency), for their truthful remarks. The situation remains tense, with security heightened and FIRs filed against protesters and Narsinghanand for inciting tensions. But, no news of arrests so far for the fanatic Muslims who thronged near Dasna Shiv Shakti Devi Temple ro attack the Hindu shrines on last Friday night.

Multiple Muslim organizations are outraged by Narsinghanand’s ‘derogatory’ remarks and are demanding action against him. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s president, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, has described his words as blasphemous and intolerable, calling for Narsinghanand’s imprisonment. Similarly, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind’s president, Maulana Mahmood Madani, has condemned the remarks in a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah, emphasizing the need for immediate legal action to maintain communal harmony.

Tagging UP Chief Minister and UP Police in the Hindu Existence X handle, it is written quoting Hindutva interlocutor and Hindu Existence Editor, Upananda Brahmachari :  “The arrest of #YatiNarsinghanand is very unfortunate.  There should be a Crash Course on Quran, Hadith and Sharia and its contradictions with Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita.“

In another tweet, Upananda Brahmachari wrote : “Our National Motto is: Satyameva Jayate. Then what un-truth told by Yati Narsinghanand? Quran is full of hate-speech. Actually, the teachings of Muhammad as embedded in Quran has its tremendous influence on Al Qaeda, Talibans, ISIS, Hamas, and other Jihadi outfits emerged as the extreme threat to the peace and harmony of Human civilisation in present days. The treatment of Israel towards Jihadi Islam is the only way.
