Yogi Adityanath highlighted the issues of Varanasi & Mathura during election campaign in Jharkhand.

‘It’s Time for Baba Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi  and Shri Krishna Temple in Mathura’: UP CM Yogi Adityanath in Jharkhand Election Campaign.

Mathura - VaranasiUpendra Bharati | HENB | Ranchi | Nov 18, 2024::Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared that it’s now time to focus on building the Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi Krishna Kanhaiya Temple in Mathura, following the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. This statement highlights the Hindu  interest in promoting Hindu pilgrimage sites and preserving India’s rich cultural heritage in his chosen line of Hindutva.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said after Ram Mandir’s inauguration in Ayodhya “Baba Vishwanath and  Krishna Kanhaiya shall not sit silent”. He was addressing the election campaign for BJP candidates in Nala and Deoghar assembly constituencies.

Yogi Adityanath, the BJP’s star campaigner, has been making waves in Jharkhand with his fiery speeches, targeting the Hemant Soren-led state government on corruption and infiltration. At a rally in Jamtara, he claimed that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led coalition has hindered the state’s development, misusing funds sent by PM Modi and plundering natural resources . He vowed that a “bulldozer is on standby” to recover the looted funds and kick out infiltrators once the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) forms the government.

Adityanath’s statements are part of a broader narrative by BJP leaders, highlighting alleged Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltration in Jharkhand . Other BJP leaders, including Amit Shah, have also echoed similar concerns, with Shah promising to form a committee to identify and address infiltration.

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has made some bold statements while campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jharkhand. He vowed to expel infiltrators from the state once the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) forms the government, and promised jobs to 1.5 lakh youths. Adityanath also cautioned the people against politicians who divide society based on caste, labeling them as “enemies of society and country” .

He further alleged that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led coalition is encouraging “land jihad” and “love jihad,” which threatens the safety of women, family, and land (‘Beti-Roti-Mati’). Adityanath emphasized the importance of unity among Hindus, citing the 1947 partition of India where 10 lakh Hindus were massacred due to division. He urged the people to come together, saying “when Hindus are united, they are safe” (‘ek rahenge, safe rahenge, na batenge, na katenge’).

Jharkhand has already completed voting for 43 out of 81 seats in the first phase of its Assembly elections. The remaining 38 seats, along with Maharashtra’s 288 constituencies, will go to polls on November 20, with the counting of votes scheduled for November 23.

The BJP’s strategy in Jharkhand is a fascinating blend of Hindutva and development narrative, similar to their approach in Maharashtra. By focusing on these twin pillars, the party aims to make a strong impact in the tribal-majority state. In Jharkhand, the BJP has been highlighting issues like infiltration, reservation, employment and Hindu unity to appeal to the local electorate, particularly in the Santhal Pargana region.
