Ramakrishna Mission sends letter to Yunus Interim Govt seeking Chinmoy Krishna’s release. Attempt to implicate monk in murder case!

Amita Das | HENB | Kolkata | Dec 9, 2024:: The Ramakrishna Mission has taken a significant step in advocating for the release of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a Hindu monk arrested in Bangladesh on sedition charges. Swami Purnatmananda, President of the Ramakrishna Mission in Dhaka, wrote to Muhammad Yunus, head of Bangladesh’s interim government, urging him to release Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari. The letter emphasized that releasing the monk would enhance the government’s image, considering the country’s current situation.

This development comes amidst growing tensions, with radical elements in Bangladesh openly calling for violence against Hindu minorities. Radharman Das, Vice President of Kolkata ISKCON, expressed concern over these threats, stating that fundamentalists are traveling across the country, inciting violence against ISKCON devotees. A video has surfaced, where a Muslim cleric compares ISKCON to cancer, advocating for its surgical removal from Bangladesh.

“In Bangladesh, fundamentalists are openly ordering the killing of Hindu minorities. They are travelling around the country in private jets and threatening to kill ISKCON and its devotees. This public call for genocide against minorities in Bangladesh is tragic, but the Bangladesh government is inactive,” Kolkata ISKCON Vice President Radharman Das said.

The situation is further complicated by an attempt to implicate Chinmoy Krishna in a murder case. Businessman Enamul Haque has filed a case against Chinmoy Krishna and 164 others, alleging attempted murder. This move is seen as a tactic to prolong Chinmoy Krishna’s detention. The Indian government has already reminded Bangladesh that ensuring Chinmoy Krishna receives justice is the responsibility of the interim government.

In the  videos posted by Radharamn Das in X, it has been revealed that the fanatic Muslim clerics demanded ban on ISKCON and provoked the Muslim mass to kill ISKCON leaders along with Hindus in Bangladesh. In another video it was seen that in front of Dhaka’s central mosque, Baitul Mukarram, fanatic Muslims were threatening Hindus with destroying Hindu deities in temples.

A shocking video has surfaced where some individuals claiming to be ex-military men from Bangladesh have threatened to capture Kolkata within four days. This alarming threat was reposted by Das from the ‘Voice of Bangladesh Hindus’ handle. The situation in Bangladesh has been tense, with the 2024 Bangladesh quota reform movement turning into a full-blown Islamist exercise in Bangladesh.
