Hindutva outfits disrupt Christmas event in Haryana’s Rohtak, claim it was held to ‘lure’ people to Christianity by ‘false faith healing’.

Event organisers say police were working ‘hand in glove’ with the protesting members of VHP & Bajrang Dal. Former WWE wrestler Great Khali had been invited as the chief guest at the event.

Sanju Yadav | HENB | Gurugram | Dec 27, 2024:: Hindutva group members disrupted a Christmas celebration at Shiv Punjabi Dharamshala in Rohtak, where retired wrestler Great Khali had been invited the chief guest, as revealed from event posters.

Prior to the event’s commencement, members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal caused a commotion at the venue, claiming that the event’s underlying intention was to “lure” individuals into Christianity by ‘false faith healing’ under a definite conversion racket.

Finally, the protesters took to the stage, reciting the Hanuman Chalisa, and compelled attendees to depart. Police intervention was eventually required. However, organizers were forced to vacate the premises, leaving behind their arrangements, including decorations and food.

Sunny Hindu, claiming to be a VHP member, alleged that the Shiv Dharamshala event was not a genuine Christmas celebration, but rather a tactic to lure people with promises of healing and financial benefits, aiming to convert them. He stated, “While everyone has the right to celebrate their faith’s festivals, public spaces should not be used for such purposes. If they wish to hold events, they should do so within their churches, not at a Shiv Dharamshala.

Praveen Singh Ministries

Sushma Sanatani, a Hindutva activist, accused the organizers of deceiving people, particularly women, by promising healing from illnesses in exchange for attending the event. She alleged that their true motive was to expand their community by converting vulnerable individuals with promises of financial rewards.

Mahant Swami Anubhoot Suryavanshi of Bajrang Dal, who spearheaded the protest, emphasized that while individuals have the right to celebrate their faith, the organizers of the Rohtak event allegedly offered monetary incentives and promised healing in an attempt to convert attendees.

Manmohan Azad, president of the Shiv Punjabi Dharamshala, revealed that Apostle Parveen Singh had booked the venue in advance and made the necessary payment. However, Azad admitted that he was unaware of the event’s true purpose.
