VHP and AHP gearing up with Hindutva in Sangam.

Sangam

Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025:: In meeting of saints and leaders of Hindu organisations, the issues of ‘freeing temples from govt control’, ‘reclaiming Hindu temples on mosque sites’, ‘declaring Bharat as Hindu Rashtra’ will be discussed.

The Margdarshak Mandal of VHP meeting, scheduled to take place from January 24 to 27 in Prayagraj, is expected to address several contentious issues. These include concerns over love jihad, ghar wapsi, and conversions, as well as the situation in Bangladesh. Additionally, the Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP) is likely to convene a meeting on Jan 24-25, pressing for a Hindu Rashtra in Bharat as the constitutional safeguards for Hindus while advocating for an end to Muslim appeasement.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Sangam (Prayagraj) | Jan 17, 2025:: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) upcoming meeting in Prayagraj is expected to discuss contentious issues, including the “freeing of temples” from government control and Hindu claims over Muslim monuments like the Sambhal mosque and Ajmer Dargah. This meeting, scheduled from January 24 to 27, will bring together saints from across India as part of the VHP’s Margdarshak Mandal.

VHP has a packed agenda for its upcoming Margdarshak Mandal baithak, a meeting of saints and mentors. According to VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal, the “freeing of temples” tops the agenda, alongside a nationwide campaign. However, the meeting will also address concerns and issues raised by participating saints, focusing on the broader Hindu society and contemporary issues affecting it.

The four-day event, expected to draw hundreds of saints, will host key mentors, sadhvis, saints, and young saints on consecutive days. Following the baithak, the VHP’s Pranyas Mandal (Board of Trustees) will convene to implement the suggestions made during the meeting. This event is part of the larger Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, which is expected to attract over 450 million visitors from January 13 to February 26.

VHP’supcoming meeting is set to discuss several key issues, including love jihad, ghar wapsi, and conversions, as well as the situation in Bangladesh. Another important agenda item is promoting Hindu unity across caste differences, particularly in the face of opposition from those advocating for caste politics.

According to VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal, the organization’s goal has shifted from building the Ram Temple to promoting social harmony and taking Ram to every household and individual. Bansal emphasized the importance of leaving behind the colonial past that entrenched the caste system and untouchability, and instead becoming a united nation.

The meeting will also discuss programs to promote this agenda at the grassroots level. Recent petitions have been filed in courts making Hindu claims over various sites, including the Shahi Jama Masjid at Sambhal in UP and the Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan. However, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has cautioned against raising such claims, emphasizing that while the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is a matter of faith for Hindus, it is unacceptable to rake up new issues daily based on extreme hatred and suspicion.

AHP

Apprehending Sangha Parivar’s orchestrated Hindutva of compromise; Dr. Pravin Togadia, who founded the Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP) after being ousted from the VHP, has emerged as a champion of uncompromising Hindutva at the Mahakumbh. During the AHP’s two-day conference on January 24 and 25, Dr. Togadia is expected to demand a Constitutional Hindu Rashtra in the presence of hundreds of sadhus and followers.

With the vision “Hindu hi aage” (Hindus are ahead), the AHP is likely to press for constitutional safeguards for Hindus, a uniform civil code, and population control, while advocating for an end to Muslim appeasement in every sphere life.

AHP is also running free food distributions and medical facilities for the  pilgrims at the various points of Prayajrag Mahakumbh 2025.
