Upendra Bharti | HENB | Sangam City (Prayagraj) | Feb 9, 2025:: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has made some remarkable claims in its recent report. According to the report, the organization’s Dharma Prachar Evam Prasar Vibhag has successfully prevented the conversion of 66,000 Hindus to other religions between July 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024. This achievement was highlighted during the VHP’s Central Board of Trustees meeting at Mahakumbh Nagar.

The report also mentions that 19,000 Hindus returned to their faith through a process called ‘Ghar Wapsi,’ which involves spiritual and legal counseling, as well as affidavits from those returning. Hindu Youths Should Tie the Knot by 25

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has adopted a resolution urging Hindu youths to marry by the age of 25. This move aims to promote early marriage among Hindus, addressing concerns about demographic changes, population imbalance and social stability.

The resolution was passed during the VHP’s Central Board of Trustees meeting, where members emphasized the importance of early marriage in maintaining social harmony and promoting family values. While details of the resolution are scarce, it’s clear that the VHP seeks to encourage young Hindus to take marriage seriously and start families early.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has passed a resolution encouraging Hindu youths to marry by the age of 25, citing Vedic principles that consider this the ideal age for entering family life, or ‘Grihastha Ashram’. This resolution aims to promote early marriage among Hindus, addressing concerns about demographic changes and social stability.

According to VHP joint general secretary Dr. Surendra Jain, the resolution was passed during the VHP’s Central Board of Trustees meeting at Mahakumbh Nagar. National spokesperson Vinod Bansal emphasized that this resolution appeals to both male and female youths to get married by 25, as per Vedic principles.

The imbalance in population is proving to be detrimental to the existence of Hindu society, Jain added.

“The declining Hindu population is creating a multi-dimensional impact. Hindus are the identity of this nation. If the Hindu population decreases, the very identity and existence of the country will be in jeopardy. To stop this, Hindu youth must step forward,” he remarked.

He also mentioned that delayed marriages, fuelled by misconceptions about a prosperous future, have led to fewer children among Hindu couples.

Hence, VHP has called for marriage at the age of 25, stressing that this is now essential.

Dr. Jain explained that several scientific studies have proven that for a child’s overall development, it is necessary for every family to have two or three children.

The VHP’s concerns about demographic changes and social stability are rooted in the declining Hindu population growth rate. The organization believes that early marriage and having two to three children are essential for maintaining social harmony and preserving Hindu cultural values.
