Upendra Bharti with Udit Kumar | HENB | Sangam City (Prayagraj)| Feb 10, 2025:: Dattatreya Hosabale, General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), underscored the challenges facing Hindutva and Sanatan tradition, citing the imposition of foreign ideologies and conversion as significant threats. He praised the tireless efforts of tribal saints in preserving the Sanatan Hindu tradition, particularly in remote forest areas.
Hosabale acknowledged the pivotal role played by the Vanvasi society in safeguarding the Sanatan Hindu tradition. However, he emphasized that tribal saints must intensify their efforts to promote this knowledge-culture tradition. Speaking as the chief guest at the Janjati Samagam organized by Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (ABVKA), an RSS affiliate, at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Hosabale commended the contributions of tribal saints.
The Janjati Samagam, organized by ABVKA, concluded on Monday with the Sant Samagam. Addressing the gathering, Hosabale noted, “Hindutva and Sanatan tradition are facing crises, including the imposition of foreign ideologies and conversion. Tribal saints have been making tireless efforts to address these challenges, ensuring the Hindu religion remains vibrant.”
Looking ahead, Hosabale stressed the need for sustained efforts to maintain the unity and existence of Hindu society. He advocated for awareness initiatives in tribal societies, focusing on environment, research, education, culture, religious awakening, and service. By doing so, Hosabale believes that the Hindu community can overcome the challenges it faces and thrive.

Dattatreya Hosabale expressed his hope that all saints from tribal areas would continue to strengthen Sanatan culture by supporting Kalyan Ashram. The gathering saw the presence of 77 saints and mahants from tribal societies across various provinces in India. Some of these saints shared their experiences and the challenges they faced while working in tribal areas.
Satyendra Singh, national president of Kalyan Ashram, highlighted the ongoing attempts to disrupt tribal societies in various parts of the country. He emphasized the need for all saints to come forward and make collective efforts to thwart these attempts.
From February 6-10, approximately 20,000 tribal devotees from Nagaland, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, and Himachal Pradesh gathered in Sangam City. Clad in traditional attire, they took a holy dip in the Ganges, vowing to protect their religion, culture, and traditions. This gathering, facilitated by Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, an affiliate of the RSS, aimed to promote unity and send a message of ‘tu main ek rakt‘ (you and I are one blood) to the world.
On Monday, Dattatreya Hosabale, General Secretary of RSS, and veteran RSS leader Shri Suresh Soni, took a holy dip at the Sangam in Mahakumbh and offered prayers to Sun God. Later, they met with sanitation workers engaged in Prayag Mahakumbh 2025.
