Rajasthan: Banswara Church Converted Into Bhairu Ji Temple As 30 People, Including Pastor, Undergo Ghar Wapsi.

Manish Godha | FPJ Online | Jaipur | March 8, 2025:: A church in Banswara district of Rajasthan is being converted into a temple as around 30 people including the pastor claimed to make a Ghar Wapsi. The temple is to be inaugurated on Sunday.

This is happening in the village Sodladudha, 60 kms away from Banswara district headquarters where a three-year-old church is being converted into a Bhairu Ji Bhagwan temple.

The villagers including the former pastor of the church Gautam Garasiya have removed the holy cross from the building and painted the walls saffron. A message is viral in the area inviting the people on conversion of the church into the temple of Bhairav ​​Ji on March 9th, 2025 at 11 am.

The former pastor Gautam Garasiya said that he had converted to Christianity 30 years ago and was the first person in Sodladudha village to convert. Later he was made pastor as many families converted to Christianity following him. He used to organize Sunday prayers near his hut. Three years ago, Gautam was given a budget by some organizations to build a church near his hut.

“I made a Ghar Wapsi around one and half years ago as there was hardly any change in my life. Now I am happy to back in my religion,” said Gautam to FPJ claiming that 45 people had converted to Christianity following him and now, 30 of them have embraced Hinduism again.

Regarding any pressure for conversion, Goutam said that there was no pressure either at the time he converted to Christianity or now, when he is making a Ghar Wapsi.

He said that the church was built on his land so now he has decided to convert into a temple of Bhairu Ji who is known as the protector in Hinduism.
