Upendra Bharti | HENB | Lucknow | March 31, 2025:: With Chaitra Ramnavami just around the corner, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to make elaborate arrangements for the smooth observance of the festival across the state.

In a review meeting with senior officials, Adityanath directed that a 24-hour ‘Akhand Paath’ (non-stop recitation) of the Ramcharitmanas be organized at temples in all districts on Chaitra Ramnavami. The recitation at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya will commence on April 5 afternoon and conclude the following day with the ‘surya tilak’ ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol.

To ensure a convenient and safe experience for devotees, Adityanath instructed officials to make necessary arrangements, including jute matting to prevent discomfort while standing in queues, adequate drinking water facilities, and canopies for shade.

The Chief Minister also directed that a 24-hour power supply be ensured across the state during Chaitra Navratri. Additionally, he ordered that no egg or meat shops be permitted near temples and that strict measures be taken to prevent illegal slaughtering.

To maintain cleanliness and sanitation, Adityanath instructed the urban development and rural development departments to run special campaigns to ensure a clean environment around temples in both cities and villages. Additional sanitation workers will be deployed, and the police will implement a robust crowd management plan to ensure proper foot patrolling tailored to local needs.

With thousands of devotees expected to visit major Devi temples, including Devipatan temple in Balrampur, Shakumbhari Devi temple in Saharanpur, and Vindhyavasini Devi Dham in Mirzapur, the state government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a smooth and sacred experience for all.

The Chaitra Ramnavami celebrations are expected to commence on March 25 and will continue until April 6. With the state government’s elaborate arrangements in place, devotees can look forward to a safe and memorable experience.
