Shiv Sena (UBT) Sparks Controversy: In Saamana, Sanjay Raut Hits Baba Bageshwar Pontiff, Blames Hindutva Leadership of Genocide.

He influences the party mouthpiece Saamana, which once had Bal Thackeray as its editor. Now, Saamana targets ‘Hindutva Brand Ambassador’ Baba Bageshwar Dham Peethadheeshwar, connecting him with BJP’s Hindutva, and accuses Hindutva leadership of genocide. 

Recently, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham had announced the establishment of a Sanatani Hindu village. Due to this, Saamana’s executive editor and MP Sanjay Raut has termed Dhirendra Shastri’s idea of ​​a Hindu village as ‘shameful’. The mouthpiece wrote that some people want genocide in its April 13 edition under the caption, “New Hindutva Babagiri”. 

In Raut’s article, religious polarization arising from the Waqf Bill and BJP’s Hindutva have been described as anti-national. Along with this, questions have also been raised on the violence of Ram Navami processions and PM Modi’s support to Baba Bageshwar.

According to Raut, BJP’s ‘Hindutva’ is going to divide the country. In the same sequence, ‘Brand Ambassador’ Dhirendra Krishna Shastri wants to build a separate village for Hindus. These ideas are going to bring shame to Hindu culture in the world. How far will this Babagiri go?

Raut further said, BJP is sincerely trying to increase hatred between Hindus and Muslims in India and convert it into riots. On April 6, Ram Navami procession was taken out in Mumbai. The nature of the procession was not religious as usual, but this time it was distorted and gruesome at some places. These processions spread chaos on the streets of Mumbai and the crowd started shouting slogans against Muslims. What kind of Ram Bhakti is this? This is against the Indian Constitution. According to Article 29 of the Indian Constitution, religion should be limited to its transcendental and spiritual matters and worldly matters should be left to the states. God and religion should be personal. The Indian Constitution provides the necessary freedom for this. The Indian Constitution does not recognize any religion as nationalism, but those who refer to the Indian Constitution are being termed anti-Hindu and anti-national.

It is written in Saamana that BJP brought religion into politics and elections. Babas like Dhirendra Shastri are the brand ambassadors of the ‘Hindu Pakistan’ that BJP wants to create in India. This Baba also says that separate villages should be built for Hindus and there should be no place for Muslims and people of other religions in them. The Prime Minister of the country goes to meet the same Dhirendra Shastri. He calls this Baba his younger brother. It means that whatever the Baba says has the approval of the Prime Minister and such Babas are the ideal of BJP’s Hindutva.

But, this Sanjay Raut forgot to say anything about the Mallapuram district comprising 138 villages where Hindus are not allowed or many such villages captured by Muslims driving out the Hindus from there. 

It is further written in Saamana that – When the Waqf Bill was passed, riots broke out in West Bengal. Muslims came out on the streets in Bihar. All this is happening as per the wishes of the Bharatiya Janata Party. This bill was debated for about 20 hours in both the houses of the Parliament, but the situation in Manipur could not be discussed for even an hour in both the houses. The Waqf Bill has opened the way for religious polarization. The BJP will be happy with this. If there had been a detailed discussion on Manipur, the government would have been embarrassed. Therefore, everyone has been kept entangled in a religious issue.

In such way, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut tried to vilify Hindutva and attacked a popular Hindutva face Dhirendra Krishna Shastri only for the narrow political interest of party in the realm of pseudo-Hidutva politics. 

Taking his X handle, Hindu Existence Editor and Hindutva interlocuter, Upananda Brahmachari expressed his concern on this and wrote, “Unfortunately, @ShivSenaUBT_ has turned to a Pro-Muslim Party. …. Leaders like @uddhavthackeray or @rautsanjay61 have no right to speak a single word on Hindutva.”

If Balasaheb Thackeray were alive, he would undoubtedly expel Sanjay Raut from the party for disgracing the ideals of Hindutva that he once championed.
