The Movement for Equal Rights for Hindus organised an one day seminar on “Fate of Hindus under Sangha Parivar” on April 20 in Delhi’s New Moti Bagh Club at Chankyapuri. The seminar was well attended by Hindutva free thinkers viz. M Nageswara Rao, Ex CBI Director, (Retd) Group Captain Sharma, Renowned writer and Panun Kashmir activist Madhu Kishwar, Indian Speaks Daily Editor Sandeep Deo, Hindu Voice Editor Amit Mali, Hindutva commentator Dr Shipli Tiwari, North East Activist V Adityanath Banerjee and many others participated in the seminar. Renowned columnist and writer Rati Hegde reports on the seminar in which she was also an important participant.
Part- I
What exactly is the promised role of RSS and BJP in today’s Bharat? Have they kept up to their promises of a “Hindu Rashtra” or even “Hindutva” as they themselves described it to the gullible Hindus before 2014? Or has their version of Hindu itself changed? “Hinduon ka tekha kya RSS ne le rakha hai?” is something that I personally have heard many times from RSS top brass themselves especially after the West Bengal elections and the widespread carnage and rape of Hindus who presumably did not vote for Mamta Banerjee during those elections. This is the concern #EqualRightsforHindus movement sought to discuss and understand in the seminar “Sangh Parivaar ke shashan mein Hinduon ki Niyati”.
With the Murshidabad violence happening immediately after the passing of the new WAQF Act in the Parliament, the first discussion was about this, the reaction of the Sangh and the actual action taken on the ground by the RSS cadres and top brass after every violence in the Eastern parts of Bharat viz. West Bengal, Manipur, Meghalaya, Assam and other States. Mr. Amit Mali who works on the ground for Hindu causes and helps victims of such religious violence revealed unpalatable information about the actual help provided by the RSS. He claimed that RSS volunteers actually disappear from areas which actually need help, especially small villages and that they were present more in areas where Media presence was more. This he felt was the RSS strategy to portray to the Media (and to its viewers) that they were the only people helping Hindus. They even went around collecting funds during calamities stating that money was being collected to help victims and projected the organization itself as a victim of communal politics and biased news. But no accountability of the use of the funds was ever given and the non-RSS Hindu activists had to fend for themselves always. Infact it is these non-RSS Hindu activists who bravely save and help the Hindu victims of religious violence.
Shri Vladimir Adityanath Banerjee said that genocides in the North East are not new and that there have been atleast 10 genocides since 1992. He insisted that the government funding which is happening is actually aiding the terrorists and arming them and not the Hindus. Destruction and defacing of Hindu sculptures, Temples and holy sites is being ignored by the Government. There is an active erasure of Culture happening in the East, which is being completely ignored by the Centre and even in the State level using the excuse of protection of Tribals and Minorities. In the process, Hindus are facing a human and cultural genocide. The Centre is refusing to take Military action against the terrorists especially the Kuki terrorists. He also gave the brilliant suggestion that the Shakti Peeths in the East should be well connected and become a pilgrim site with Government help.
(Retd) Group Captain B N Sharma said that it pained him to discover that Meitei don’t have access to the National Highways which are the lifeline of the community. This has resulted in the wrongful confinement of the Meiteis and Article 19D which gives freedom to travel all over Bharat is denied to Meiteis because of the terrorist activities there. He insisted that the monthly stipend of Rs. 6000 currently given to the Kuki militants/terrorists, by the ARMY, should be stopped forthwith. The Meiteis have been confined to the interior areas of Manipur from where even goods and services are not easily accessible or sent out because of militants and terrorists violently patrolling and blocking these highways. Absolutely no help from the Army is forthcoming for the Hindu Meitei. He brought attention to the fact that BJP was ruling till recently and now there’s President rule imposed in Manipur.
Madhu Kishwar also brought attention to the fact that the Army and Government never blame Church for backing insurgency.
