Demographic Time Bomb: Indian Women Married to Pakistani Nationals Spark Concerns producing huge number of children. 

Upananda Brahmachari | HENB | New Delhi | April 29, 2025:: A recent revelation has ignited a firestorm of controversy in India, with claims suggesting that approximately 5 lakh Indian women of Muslim faith are married to Pakistani nationals, resulting in around 25 lakh children born in India. This phenomenon has raised alarming concerns about demographic changes, national security, and the potential risks posed to the country.

According to Ashwini Upadhyay, a prominent lawyer in the Supreme Court of India  and a senior BJP politician, this situation is a “big danger signal” for India. Upadhyay points out that these women, married to Pakistani men, have given birth to a substantial number of children, who are now growing up and getting married, further exacerbating the issue.

The cases of women like Rizwana Begum, who married a Pakistani national named Salim and had seven children in India, have come under scrutiny. Rizwana’s story is not an isolated incident, with many similar cases reported across the country. These women, often availing benefits of all government scheme, especially introduced y ruling BJP Government in the centre, have raised questions about their loyalty and citizenship.

Upadhyay attributes this situation to the lax implementation of laws and policies. He emphasizes the need for stricter regulations, citing examples of countries like Singapore, Japan, and China, which have stringent laws to prevent infiltration and ensure national security.

The issue has sparked a heated debate, with many questioning the government’s stance on the matter. Upadhyay’s call for amendments to the Indian Penal Code, including stricter punishments for offenses related to infiltration, illegal immigration, and fake documents, has gained traction.

As the controversy continues to simmer, one thing is clear: the issue of Indian women married to Pakistani nationals has raised complex questions about demography, security, and citizenship, demanding urgent attention and action from the authorities.

The recent revelations about Indian women married to Pakistani nationals, coupled with the Pahalgam Hindu Genocide and extradition of Pakistani citizens from India, raise questions about the modality of such operations under the current government’s tenure. It’s pertinent to ask why the ruling government, despite being in power for 1 1  years, seemingly allowed this situation to arise, potentially burdening India with a Muslim population that may pose a threat to safety, security, and Hindu majority.
