Bageshwar Baba Dhirenda Shastri Calls for Hindutva Awareness in Punjab and West Bengal.

Awaken Hindutva in Punjab and West Bengal: Bageshwar Dham Leader’s Call to Action.

Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has consented to join the ‘Panch Lakh Kanthe Gita Path Mahotsav’ event in December 2025 at Kolkata Brigade Parade Ground.

Upendra Bharti | HENB | Panchkula, Haryana | May 31, 2025::  Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, a prominent Hindu preacher from Bageshwar Dham, has emphasized the need to awaken Hindutva in Punjab and West Bengal. Speaking after a successful Hanuman Katha event in Panchkula, Shastri expressed concern over conversions in some areas, where people are being lured or taken advantage of due to their vulnerability.

According to Shastri, when rich Hindus support their poorer counterparts, it can help prevent conversions and foster a sense of community and solidarity. He urged Hindus in Punjab and West Bengal to awaken to their cultural identity and take pride in their heritage.

The situation in West Bengal is particularly concerning, with reports of Hindus facing persecution and harassment at the hands of radical and political elements. The state’s Trinamool Congress government, led by Mamata Banerjee, has been accused of failing to protect the rights and interests of Hindus.

The Panchkula Hanuman Katha event, where Shastri spoke, saw the participation of several notable personalities, including Gita Manishi Gyananda, renowned singer Hansraj Raghuvansi, Bhajan Samrat Kanhiaya Mittal, music composer B Praak, and wrestler Great Khali, among others. The event was a grand success, with thousands of devotees attending and participating in the katha.

A delegation from Bengal recently met Shastri during the Panchkula event and invited him to participate in the ‘Panch Lakh Kanthe Gita Path Mahotsav’ as chief guest in December 2025. The delegation comprised Swami Pradiptananda (Kartik Maharaj) of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Swami Nirgunananda of Rishra Prem Mandir, Bandhu Gaurav Brahmachari of Dr Mahanambrata Mission, and Jagdartiha Prabhu of ISKCON. The event aims to bring together 500,000 people to recite the Bhagavad Gita and promote Hindu unity and solidarity. Shastri has consented to join the event to be held in Kokata’s Brigade Parade Ground.

The ‘Panch Lakh Kanthe Geeta Path Mahotsav’ is seen as an effort to promote Hindu unity and solidarity in West Bengal. Last year, a similar event was held in the Brigade Parade Ground, where 1 lakh Hindus recited the Bhagavad Gita. The event was a testament to the power of Hindu unity and solidarity in the face of adversity.

The delegation from Bengal also narrated the plight of Hindus in the state, who are facing increasing harassment and persecution. They requested Shastri’s presence at the event to invoke the blessings of Lord Hanuman and provide spiritual support to the Hindu community in Bengal.
